    Andy and his team were great. They went above and beyond trying to fix our furnace that was installed incorrectly by previous owner as well as investigating thoroughly why it had failed. Turns out we did not have adequate air return. We ended up having to get a new furnace but I felt good knowing it was our only option since they took the time to change out some parts to see if that would work. They fixed some other items that were incorrect as well and their work was very meticulous.

    Baby It's cold outside! Woke up at 5 this morning and baby, it was cold inside, about 45°. Thought thermostat had gone bad because of the way the furnace was cycling, but not sure. Called original installer from 25yrs ago and they had trouble scheduling. We decided to try and stay with someone local and called J.J. Smith Heating. Explained the problem to them and they had someone at our home within an hour. It was not my thermostat. They explained and showed me the problem. Now they could have gotten me for the cost and replacement of thermostat, plus fixing the real problem without any argument from me, but they didn't and that people, is honesty ! I truly believed our bill would have been double what it was. A big thank you to Andy for your prompt and honest service. We highly appreciate and recommend J.J. Smith Heating !!!

    The interaction with the office was fast and friendly. The technician was friendly , knowledgeable, and resolved the problem, will definitely use them again in the future.

    It was 7 P.M. on a very cold Saturday evening when the 5 year old furnace would only cycle on and off. Couldn't get the room temp over 65 degrees. Our usual HVAC guys said Monday was the earliest for an appointment. JJ Smith had a guy onsite in 30 minutes and the system running in 45 minutes. Fixed enough so replacement parts could be installed in a few days. Prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service at reasonable prices!

    A/C went out yesterday, called them in the morning and they were 1/2 hour later. Had to order a fan because it was seized up, not something they stock on a 10+ year old unit. Said if we get lucky could be that evening but most likely the next day. Somehow got the part way quicker than expected and had us up and running less than 5 hours after I called. Great people and great job!

    My ac broke down during a string of 95 degree days. I stoped by the office and showed pictures of my unit. They gave me several options and prices. I decided on the size and unit I wanted. The salesmen came by my home, confirmed the price quoted was correct. He also dropped off a temporary unit so I could sleep in comfort. The next morning the crew showed up and did a great job. After the job was completed and they were paid in full I had a small problem. They came right out and fixed the issue. Great job JJ and thank you.

    Not very pleased with the level of service from this place. I'll give them two stars if only for a quick response time for sending out an individual to speak with me when we were having issues with our AC...After that everything went downhill. It started with the sales representative forgetting that we had an appointment. I had to call him, and remind him we were supposed to meet. Then once he was at my house, and I showed him my systems he proceeded to tell me that my system that had been running for almost 20 years was a 'Lemon' and that I should get it all replaced. I don't know, maybe he doesn't know what it means to call something a lemon...Anyway, after all that he never even called back or sent an email with a quote for work to be done! Luckily there are several good HVAC outfits in the area. To be sure JJ Smith lost my business or any future business from me due to this experience.

    I Am Editing my Post after a call from the owner.

    The owner- ANDY - called me and spoke with me about my issue and explained that the person I was working with and the hard pushing sales man had both been fired. He offerred a full refund of my money, which I didnt ask for, but a GOOD business owner should always offer.
    The only reason I didnt leave a 5 star after speaking with Andy is becasue I feel that he IS sincere, but needs to put his personal contact information or have a place to file complaints that go to him as the owner on his site. When I had my issue, I had no idea that there was an available owner who would have cared and responsed and HOW to get to them. Andy is agood local small businessowner who cannot be properly represented by all of his employees and will gladly extend himself to maintain honor in his business.

    LIARS DO NOT TRUST (hoped being a smaller local company I would get someone trust worthy) I dont know if you can give a negative 4 star review but they should get one. I was told that it was going to be $85 to come out and assess the broken airconditioner. Tech came out and "cleaned the unit" to see if it would work but after cleaning it said that the compressor was broken. Then went down to look at the coolant and stated there was an oil leak. I didnt think to go check it with him, just believed him. They were telling me i needed a whole new unit which would require a new furnace too. Paid $185 ish for him to tell me there was oil leaking in the furnace space of the AC, and to 'clean' outside unit to test the compressor.
    Had a friend come out who does corporate HVAC and he took a look. 1- the unit was still dirty, i t was still very dirty-- (so the cleaning was incomplete-). Found that that the compressor in the A/C unit was not the right compressor (a previous tech -former house owner had put in it) and that was broken (he didnt even look to see and if he did didnt know enough to know it was the wrong kind) and the friend went and looked for an oil leak (and I tagged along this time) and there was NO oil leak, no sign of an oil leak, no residue ANYWHERE.

    There was a man from JJSMith that was going to come out to measure and look at space to give an estimate for instal of a new unit l, but timing wasnt good and interesting-- he never called back to try to reschedule. Could it be becasue he knew it was BOGUS???
    Friend went and got the right compressor for that unit and the A/C was fine as he topped off the coolant as well.

    This is the 2nd time I have used J.J. Smith, and I have no hesitation in giving them 5 stars. Service technician, Chris, is just finishing up, and once again I am very happy with his knowledge, thoroughness and professional manner. Also impressed with Julie who answered my call this morning and was able to get service scheduled for my faulty AC on this very hot day after the 4th of July! I am removing all of those other service company stickers from my unit and will only use J.J. Smith going forward!

    Called them first because my sister used them and told me how honest they were.I got the answering machine because it was 10:00 at night,so I then called another company and scheduled an early morning service.Then my phone rang it was JJ Heating and Air..I told them I wanted them to come out tonight.They came out and a/c was up and running in 45 minutes.Very honest and professional! Will use them always in the future.
