On Friday 7/19/19 I called Advance Heating and Cooling to diagnose a problem with my A/C. When the tech. Shawn arrived, he took the cover off of the furnace, reached inside and told me that the blower motor was out. He never did any other tests to rule out any options that wouldn't involve me replacing the entire unit. Afterwards he gives me an invoice for 935.00 that states that I needed a blower motor and a motor mount kit. I was also charged 89.00 for the service fee. After researching the issue and seeing that the "diagnosis" that the tech gave (by sticking his hand in the furnace), was rare, I opted to get a 2nd opinion. The HVAC handyman that I asked to check the unit ran an electrical test. He was then able to conclude that it was not the blower motor, but in fact, the capacitor. The total for the repair was 70.00 vs. the 935.00 that Advance tried to charge me. After I called Advance to explain the situation and request the diagnostic fee back, they had the manager (who was not involved in the service call) call me back to explain that although his tech did not go through the necessary measures to diagnose the issue, that there was nothing that he could do about the fee.

Not one but two missed appointments. Had an appointment Friday, no show. I even called Thursday to confirm, left message with answering service. Finally got ahold of Shawn late Friday, he forgot to get the ac unit. Tells me this after runs my credit for financing. Schedules for Saturday morning, call st 9:45, answering service, she never got a hold of anyone and I texted Shawn 2 times, second one saying forget it. Tech finally shows 45 minutes late, sent him away. To top it off not no one even called to apologize.

We spoke in circles for well over 15 minutes and the conversation ended with him telling me to enjoy my day and hanging up on me. Never for one second were we disrespectful or rude in any way while explaining why the service we received was unacceptable but we were met with basically a slap in the face. Unacceptable “work” and even worse customer service. STAY FAR AWAY FROM ADVANCE!

Shawn does honest, awesome work with a high quality product. You can easily tell Advance Heating and Cooling takes pride in their work. They even left the area around the furnace cleaner than what they found it! :) HIGHLY Recommended!!

Kai came out to look at what was causing issues with our furnace. He explained that it appeared to be spiders nest/webs, and he cleaned them out. Had he mentioned this earlier, I would've assumed the house would be a total loss, as the only way to fix this, would be to burn it down. Fortunately, Kai took care of the issue very professionally, and without fire. Advanced Heating and Cooling worked with my schedule, and were a pleasure to work with. I won't hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.

I am very pleased with the service. We have a VERY old air conditioner and rather than trying to sell me a new one, Shawn always works hard to fix it. I appreciate it! I have been nothing but pleased with them.

Wonderful prompt service even after hours ! air conditioner started to make weird noises while kids were home by themselves! Called Advance and was serviced the same night ! and Shawn did not seemed to be upset that he had another service call, can not thank him enough !
