Comfort Hounds Heating & Cooling

TL:DR - Happy with service and technician that serviced. Charged $1250 for 3.5 hours of work...

I'm going to say There is lots of positives to Comfort Hounds. Did all my scheduling via Email and text. Responded quickly. Worked with me to get a schedule that worked for me. Techs were on time. The techs were knowledgeable and fixed my issues and found another issue I didn't see. Here's my problem, The techs were onsite for 3.5 hours. I called for service on both units at my house. I ended up needing a capacitor on 1 unit. The other unit needed a fan relay and while working on it found a malfunctioning AC disconnect. They had all parts on the truck. These were less than $100 of parts. I guess I didn't realize that I would be paying $350/hour for labor. The service wouldn't have taken that long if the apprentice wasn't getting some learnings. This is my problem, they also were priming me for a system replacement before they even seen my units. If you are looking for a company to pay extra for good service and good work. I think they are fine and you will pay out the big bucks. They charge $500 to replace a $20 AC disconnect. They were up front with all their pricing and showed me the book of prices. The problem is they have you where you have no options. Tell them go away with a down AC unit and try to find another HVAC tech with your system not working that day. You will never do that and not pay more. I think you can find as good of HVAC teams that charge 1/2 of what this crew did. I validated my theory with another company and explained all I needed and were MUCH more reasonable.

Rob was speedy to come take a look at our AC unit and most helpful with the decision to purchase a new unit. In only a few days we are back to a cool house and very pleased with his work! Thank you Comfort Hounds!

Rob spent a good deal of time on the phone with us and helped us come to the right decision for our home, family and budget. He was able to fit us in quickly due to the rain, worked out in the rain and fixed our issue within the same day. I'm so grateful that Rob was recommended to us!

After dealing with several HVAC companies we finally came across AirPro Carolina and could not have made a better choice. Rob is very professional and patient, he explained everything we asked and went an extra step further by giving us options to help with the cost of replacing and installing our new unit. Rob and Sam showed at the exact time they said and immediately started working.

Very happy with the work Rob recently did for me. The auxiliary heat was essentially broken, and outdoor temperatures of around 20 degrees caused our indoor temperature to drop 10-12 degrees below thermostat. It was starting to get very cold inside.

I went onto the AirPro website at about 6 AM and saw an option to schedule an appointment online. He was here by 9 AM. Such a good response time on. He diagnosed the issue but the part that was needed to fix it was not on his truck. He made time later in the day to come back with the part to fix the problem despite a busy schedule. A+ service!

Edit: Rob continues to do great work and is very informative during each of his visits. The maintenance plan has been great.

We tried several other HVAC companies before we found Rob at AirPro. The others seemed only interested in selling us a new unit, even though ours was only 5 years old at the time. We had a problem that Rob was able to fix when the others did not. Rob is prompt and professional and takes the time to explain what he is doing and answer any questions. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic - This is my second time using AirPro Carolina and I am blown away at the level of service received from Rob. Emailed after hours about our heating not working, didn’t expect a response until next day but within an hour I received email & text from Rob and was scheduled for the next morning! He quickly troubleshot my AC in May and now my heating system and found the issue. I have tried all the Big HVAC companies over the years (and smaller ones) and always left feeling taken advantage of and questioning their “fixes”. They seemed to be guessing when troubleshooting. Not with Airpro, it is an enormous relief to have an HVAC contractor that is honest, reasonably priced, and knowledgeable. Won’t use anyone else!

Rob was great! Got an appointment right away. Very thorough and told me pricing up front which I appreciated! Very professional and nice. Highly reccomend
