Dependable and responsive. I had to call them back to clean up and close the attic stairs. I am recovering from knee surgery so I am not able to climb stairs. My security camera let me know that there were things left undone.
Update-1/8/2023-the company has reached out to apologize for not repairing or checking the condensate pump. They offered to refund my service call fee and half the cost of capacitor. Very impressed that a company would do that.
I am on the fence with this company. My furnace quit working on 12/15 and I called to have them come and look at it. Understandably they couldn't make it same day but they were there promptly the next morning at 9:00 a.m. Between the time that I called and the time that they showed up my furnace started working again. I told the tech Cody that I had heard some water draining and the furnace started back up. I showed him the line where the water was draining from and we followed it back to the furnace and the pump. He continued to inspect my furnace and told me I needed a new capacitor. He never checked the condensate pump. 3 days ago my furnace shut down again. Same issue except I have a new capacitor! I started googling condensate pump and after watching a few YouTube videos, I shut off the power cleaned out the condensate pump(evidently you need to do that every once in awhile), put it back together and my furnace started back up. My concern is I am not sure that I needed a capacitor at all. Or if I did maybe not right now. It seems the condensate pump was the issue and I'm really not sure Cody knew anything about a condensate pump or what it's function is or what can happen if it isn't working properly. I sure didn't until I started reading up on it.I'm not sure that I blame Cody. I think it might be a lack of training After reading a few other reviews it seems like the capacitor is the go-to when something isn't working properly. A very expensive lesson for me.
The whole team was magnificent. Very professional great customer experience. I highly recommend Barber Heating and Air for all your HVAC needs. We will use again.
They were on time and the service technician Cody was polite as he explained that there was nothing wrong with my system except that the capacitor was reading weak and that it should be replaced. I explained that it had been replaced 2 years ago on Christmas day. Cody explained that it could go in a day, a week or it could even last another year or so, no guarantees so I had him replace it just to be safe. After a day or two one of the owners (Jeremiah Barber) called to see if I was satisfied with the work that was done and to offer his condolences, he heard that my wife had recently passed away, and to cheer me up he reimbursed me for the capacitor as a Christmas gift. I THOUGHT THAT WAS GREAT. I will recommend 👌 👍 ☺ Barber Heating and Air to all of my friends or anyone that I hear of looking for heat and air repair. Thanks Jeremiah **********.
Nick came out Saturday afternoon. He was really polite and understanding. He had my heat back on in no time. He was really knowledgeable on the unit. Thanks again Nick.
As usual Bill was very thorough and explained everything that he did and what he felt needed attention at the next service. Definitely my go to company for HVAC maintenance.
I needed to posted about my phone xperience today with Evy. My day started with no heat and a very cold house. I still had power but my HVAC system was not responding to the thermostat even though I still had power but even that came to and end. So I called and explained my situation to Evy, I don't think I have to tell you how stressed I was. It was very calming to talk with someone who was, attentive, understanding and encouraging. She reassured me that my problem would get the attention needed in spite of the many numerous other calls for service. Thankfully things worked out, I have heat and power. I can't express how helpful Evy was in helping me to work though what I called a perfect storm. And this is just another reason why I use this company. The level of customer service is always exceptional and I greatly appreciate it. Much thanks Evy
Great service from Barber Heating & Air. Had an issue pop up with my heat and Brandon had someone come out very quickly. Sam did a great job diagnosing the issue, laying out my options and then fixing the problem. Very transparent on costs and quick service. I appreciate the company’s detailed billing and follow up.
