The gentleman came by on time and quickly checked things out. This was a scheduled check up as the heat season changed to the cooling season. Every time there has been a problem it was corrected over the phone or a prompt visit by a technician. I have enjoyed this service for years and never disappointed.

Definition of customer support! Scott and his team (on multiple occasions) went above and beyond to ensure that we were more than satisfied, happy and most importantly, comfortable. The communication we experienced with this company sets the bar to a new high to which all other professions should strive to meet. Words can not explain the gratitude our family has for this company and it’s team. As for our household, there is no other option than Total Heating and Cooling!

Buyer Beware is right! The technician who came out to assess the situation ($85) was very nice and knowledgeable. Had a problem with a motor on my unit, thank God it was under warranty or they were going to charge me more than a $1k for the part alone. They gave me an estimate over the phone for $425.00 to install the new motor and after 35 minutes of work, the technician says "ok, I'm done everything is working well" and that was it???? I told the tech I would be calling the owner and he didn't seem care one bit. Now for the owner...after the technician left I was hoping to receive some "understanding" on the charges and the owner was so rude on the phone saying" If your mad that our company is just high priced then I'm fine with that!" I was in shock and told him that he will be getting a nice review from me. I guess repeat business doesn't mean anything to some people.

I have a maintenance contract for semiannual service on my HVAC. Technicians are always on time and efficient. My unit is old and this is worth every dime. Very pleased with “Total”.

We moved to Brown Summit, NC in August of 2016 and needed a heating and air conditioning company to service our home. I was going to go with the previous owners company but decided to talk to Total because they were a Mitsubishi dealer and local. I wanted to explore putting in a mini split in a room we were converting from a screened in porch. Scott Hicks the owner came out and we discussed the mini split particulars. During our discussion I mentioned a previous post that was not very complimentary to Total. Scott explained the entire situation to my satisfaction and at that point I decided to go with Total. I contracted for a mini split installation. Five weeks ago the mini split was installed and it worked perfectly. Two weeks ago it failed and a Total technician came out on New Years Day and was unable to correct the issue at that time. The following day a another technician returned and said the unit was leaking refrigerant and needed replacing. He went on to say this was the first Mitsubishi he had ever seen fail in this way. He called Scott from my house and Scott called Mitsubishi and wanted the entire system replaced under warranty not just the outside unit. He was afraid the outdoor unit failure would contaminate the indoor unit. Three days later an entire new mini split system was installed and it has worked perfectly ever since. I cannot say enough about Total's professionalism, their technicians knowledge and professionalism, service, and follow up after a sale. I am impressed and recommend Total Heating and Cooling without hesitation. In the future they will be installing a generator.

Our heat pump went out on us on New Years Day about 4 years ago. The owner came out on Jan. 2 and by Jan. 3, we had a new Trane. They have always been professional and courteous. The humidifier gave us problems several times. After several fixes, the owner replaced it at no cost. Good company, well run. We've never had issues at any time.

They call to schedule maintenance 2x a year and arrive in window we are given. They always call to say when they are on way and what time they should arrive. Very nice people and answer all our questions.
