Copperhead had done work in our condo before we came here in 2018, so we contacted them for an estimate on a new HVAC system. Of the three bidders, not only were they competitive in price, but Tom was the only one who asked to see the crawl space, where he discovered numerous breaks in the ductwork. They fixed that, and several months later installed new heating and A/C. Since then they have also replaced both the water heater and water softener. All work has been done on time, cleanly, at reasonable rates and easily passing inspections. Along the way, Tom and his team have provided valuable advice on how to use our systems most efficiently.

Copperhead was very responsive to a water heater emergency, even though I called on a weekend evening. We were able to get everything shut off, and they were there early the next day with the exact model heater we needed. Very efficient and professional.

I have not used Copperhead, but I know people who have. Copper head sent 5 different techs, including a Service manager, and they could not diagnose an obvious bad part. Constant call backs for the same alarm code and all they did was change parts just guessing. Wasted customers money on labor and money on parts that were not needed.
Their resolution was to tell the customer that they cannot figure out what was wrong. Could not verify that the heat exchanger was bad, and just told the customer “they think it’s the heat exchanger”. From there they told customer they need a new unit.
They left the customer with no heat on Christmas weekend when temps were in 0 digits.
They quoted a $10,500 new system and did not do a correct load calculation. Selling the customer exactly same spec unit that was oversized to begin with. A honest installation for furnace and AC in NJ is $6500-7500. So with that being said, Copperhead are crooks. They are taking advantage of people who don’t know about HVAC. They do not have any seasoned techs/mechanics. Just part replacers.
Everyone do yourself a favor and call the smaller private company or find someone through friends and family. Don’t just call whoever and spend what they tell you. There are people and companies out there that actually care about the customer and care about doing the job right the first time.

I'm a former plant engineer very familiar with HVAC systems. In my opinion, the Copperhead technician who replaced a defective evaporator coil (a major job) on my A/C system was efficient, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. I was extremely pleased with the result and would highly recommend Copperhead for HVAC repair or replacement.

We had an emergency replacement of our water heater in September of 2021. The Copperhead technician was very helpful in scheduling our sale & installation as quickly as possible. This was difficult since Hurricane Ida had caused so much local flooding & widespread water heater damage at the time."

Copperhead installed a new kitchen sink in my home. They did a great job and made very little mess. They also installed a new well for us years ago. It was another great job by Copperhead.

Copperhead was referred to us by the old Angie's List. Their estimates were reasonable and well-explained. Their service people were on time, efficient, and professional. We would recommend without reservation Copperhead to anyone in the area who needs quality plumbing work done.

Would not recommend. We called around for a few quotes and while they were not the highest, they were on the higher end, but since Copperhead was highly recommended by a neighbor who used them for years, we had them come out. Their tech came out to check the unit and gave a few recommendations and was told they would send more definitive quotes for full replacement after. We have another unit that is the same age (20+) so had him check it out also. When we paid for the visit, I was taken aback it was double what I was quoted but apparently that was because the tech checked the other unit. We paid it without contest but I did not feel the second fee was transparent and would have appreciated that was made clear at the time. I will be sure to ask going forward as a lesson learned. We got an invoice summary of our unit dimensions but they never sent any estimates for replacement. We followed up via email twice but never heard from Copperhead again.

I have used Copperhead exclusively for all of our plumbing needs. We have modernized our heating and AC as well as kitchen and baths. In every instance they arrive on time, they are respectful of cleanliness and all work is professionally done at very reasonable prices

Was told it would be $165 to look at the unit and provide a quote, showed up and charged me $330 because they had to look at two units. Never got the quote, chased them for a month and no one bothered to even respond to me when I followed up. Dishonest company, stay away.
