Dont waste your time calling this company if you need service. After giving them all my information and troubleshooting my furnace they told me the only way they can help is if I buy fuel oil from them.
They are fast and efficient . They came for a service call and were professional and had everything needed on a well stoked truck . The office staff answers calls fast and are great!
We are on auto delivery with them and they let us run out in the middle of a freezing cold night. Tried calling the supposed 24 seven number no one answers. Call all through the night multiple times but no help. The next day I called when normal business hours are I took me an hour and 45 minutes to get in touch with someone.
Our furnace stopped working in the night and we were cold. we called and they actually picked up within a few minutes. We were so thankful that the technician came first thing, 8 am and got it going again! Thank you.
So I signed up for automatic refills for both my oil and propane tanks because they told me I had to, okay. Now they have let one of the tanks run totally empty so I have to take another day off to sign the same paperwork I have already signed before. So now I’m waiting here, an hour and a half after I was told they were going to be delivering. I called the office and the woman said the only driver was out, they couldn’t reach him and had no idea whether he would be here soon or whether he would be here at all today. I honestly can’t wait to move so I don’t have to deal with this service anymore. And this is beside the fact that neither of their online portals work. But I mean when the actual driver and service techs get here they’re mostly nice, that’s really the only positive I’ve had with Petro.
Strictly propane for heating, hot water and cooking, for 11 years at current address. I have had two other propane companies, before petro, have been with them over three years. They go out of the way to fix problems. I use less than 1000 gallons per year, which is Petro's base. They shy away from commercial to concentrate on the homeowner. Thank you Petro.
I used to have fuel delivered from Rye Fuel (which I used to love), which Petro just recently "took over" or absorbed or whatever, and I've been wholly unimpressed with Petro for several reasons. They haven't migrated Rye Fuel customers over to their online system, so I can't make an online payment, a couple of service calls I scheduled were both cancelled on me mid-way through the time window, when I took time off from work to be home waiting for them, and when I just called to make a payment over the phone I was very rudely informed I would have to call back Monday (it's Friday currently) and then when I inquired if the online payment system had been set up yet, I was again rudely informed that they had no idea, and then was hung up on. So... great experience so far... can't wait for my payment plan to be up next year so I can take my business elsewhere. Avoid.
our furnace broke. We were willing to wait if the Tech didn't have the time to come before the day's end.... but he made the time. So it was fixed on friday afternoon and we did not have to wait till monday! THANKS
My first experience with Petro was awesome. I had a leaking oil tank filter problem and they sent someone out within 2 hours. Tony was great, friendly, smart, very polite and he fixed that filter within 45 minutes. You have a new, happy customer!
