Pettigrew Plumbing & HVAC

We recently bought a place in Portsmouth that needed a lot of work, both plumbing and heating wise. We selected Pettigrew because of their existing reviews and because they came highly recommended from the Portsmouth community. Their service is prompt, exact, professional and pricing is as to be expected. We especially enjoyed working with Mack on our heating problems - he didn't stop working until he found a solution that worked. Highly recommend!

We had a "no heat" incident with our oil boiler on a Sunday night (a week before Christmas). I called Pettigrew at 6 in the evening and their on-call tech called me right back. Mack was fantastic. He came right over and got our ancient boiler back up and running.

It's an old boiler (older than Mack) and in poor condition. We've been budgeting to replace it and hoped to make it until spring.

I don't know how long it will run, but he has it running now and we are grateful.

Thank you Mack, you were professional, knowledgeable, polite, and saved us. And on the Sunday night before Christmas, it's nice to have someone you can't count on to get you out of what would have been a cold and miserable night.

Awesome customer service! I found my water heater failed at 6pm when gallons of water covered my newly finished basement floors. I called and left a message with the 24hr call service. I was promptly called back and walked through how to secure the system safely. The next afternoon I had a new water heater installed. Can’t thank them enough and the price was spot on as quoted. Phone number saved in my phone and shared with neighbors!

I had a recent problem with my split air conditioner. Pettigrew responded to my inquiry quickly. Mack came today and did an excellent job diagnosing and repairing the issue. He was professional, efficient, and solved my issue quickly. Mack did a great job and I would definitely recommend him and Pettigrew for any HVAC issues.

He came to our home to help support us with a natural gas appliance/ fireplace insert and every company or supplier told us we could not purchase replacement parts for it but Instead had to replace the entire I it... NOT 🚫, Mack was able to save us money because he fixed it and he was polite, on time and everything you could want in customer service

We’ve always trusted Pettigrew for our plumbing, so we called them for our furnace that kept switching off during the night. Mack thoughtfully diagnosed the problem - a broken sensor. They ordered the part and sent Mack back to our house the same day the part arrived. Everything was back up and running for a great price. This is a reliable, straightforward company. Scheduling is easy, technicians are friendly and on time. They aren’t trying to upsell you on additional upgrades or service plans. Highly recommend!
