Abel was responsive, fast, and most importantly they were thorough. I was very impressed with the professional manner in which my estimate and install were conducted. I would recommend them to anyone looking for the services they provide. (And for what it counts, the prices were the best of the estimates we got)

Had our a/c system fail this holiday weekend with a forecast of heat and humidity. They came out on a Sunday morning and diagnosed and fixed the problem in a half hour service call. Jason was phenomenal and a pleasure to have in our home! Happy Independence Day and PTL!

Ryan was able to free up Jason into his busy schedule to come out and troubleshoot why the AC fan was not working. Jason was on time and was able to quickly narrow down the reason why the fan was not working.. He replaced the parts needed and was through in his explanation of the problem 24 colts were not making it to AC unit and condenser was a little light on power…. Highly recommend them for all hibachi and furnace work!

Our AC wasn't putting out cold air so I called Abel Heating and Cooling because Centerpoint Energy Home Service Plus couldn't come out for 8 days and we were already on our second day of 90°F with no relief in sight. They said they could come out on Friday which was 3 days away. Then they called on Wed and said they could be here in 20 minutes. I was so appreciative that they could come early. Jason & his co-worker showed up and cleaned the condenser coils that were very dirty and checked a few other things. Then he said that the wire to the compressor & the terminal on the compressor corroded beyond repair and it was a catastrophic failure and could not be fixed and we needed a new AC. I paid $100 for the trip charge (3.4 miles) and $80 for him to clean the condenser and diagnose the problem. He said he gave me a break and only charged me for a half hour of work vs a whole hour. I paid a total of $180 and he said he would email me some prices on new AC's on Friday. I never received an email. I reached out to Centerpoint HSP again and was able to get someone to agree to come out Thursday morning and look at it. I figured a second opinion wouldn't hurt and I knew it wouldn't cost me anything. The tech showed up and worked on the AC for about one hour and then came to the door and said it should be working now. He said that a wire to the compressor was corroded and he rewired it. He verified that it was cooling the house and it has been working great since. I can honestly say I'm disappointed in Able Heating and Cooling. They were made aware that my 96-year-old mother lives here and she can't handle this heat and humidity. Not only did they fail to fix it but they also failed to follow up with me on a replacement.

Regarding your response, the AC was NOT completely disassembled. The top and one side was off. Your tech was the one that removed the other sides. My security cameras can verify that info. I NEVER asked for a price for the compressor. Your invoice said he was going to give me a price on repair vs replace. That wasn't something I asked for. I even spoke with the guy at the office who said Jason would get back to me on pricing of a new AC. The fact that he never did, just proves to me he knew that it could be fixed.

We used Abel for an AC tune up. The tech showed up on time, was professional and explained how everything should be working off our AC unit. He made some suggestions for future maintenance. We will have them back for our furnace tune up.

It was Friday evening and my family and I were relaxing at home after a long week of snow and winter weather. The temperature outside was forecasted to drop to below zero when my wife mentions that it’s getting cold inside. I checked the furnace and it wasn’t working, the temperature in the house was dropping quickly and I was worried! I called Abel at 8pm and they had a technician to our house right away and our furnace was working within an hour. I’d recommend Abel’s friendly and knowledgeable service to anyone!

The repairperson replaced my plugged pipes and installed a pump to pump water from the air conditioning and dehumidifier. He also replaced the tubing to my dehumidifier which also was plugged.
He worked hard, and I was very pleased to have my water issues resolved.

Brian was very efficient and knowledgeable. He troubleshooted our boiler and we feel very confident going into winter! Update - it quit a few times and he was out w replacement parts. So far so good!

Professional and courteous. Excellent bid process and install techs took care of everything. Very happy with the fit and finish of their work!
