Terrible sales and service every time I go there, no one has a clue what’s going on or where items are. Last product I bought there I had to order out of catalog which they only had one catalog in the store and sales person couldn’t find what I wanted on his computer. I had to bring in a catalog from home to order what I needed. Then took over a month to get it! I just order on line now and pay the extra shipping so I don’t have to deal with the unskilled rude employees.

Not very impressed with online ordering. The website didn't allow me to apply coupon code. I called customer service and they couldn't get it to work either! They told me to pay full price and they would give me a credit later on! Kind of a joke! We will see what happens going foward!

Customer service was good, but they gave me the wrong item. When you pick up large items, they ask for the receipt to make sure you paid, and they have the right item. I got about 45 minutes away, and realized that I was given the wrong item. Went back got the right one, things were fixed in a timely manner. Just a big inconvenience for me, so when you purchase an item that the employees have to load, please check the item number.

Described item I needed, worker says, "I don't have any of in the shelf but lemme go check the stockroom quick.". Comes back 2 minutes later and hands me the exact part I described. That's the service you get.
It didn't take much for him to do that but it makes a huge difference to the customer when they really listen and help you get what you need. Thanks Northern Tool + Equipment.

Excellent service, many quality tools parts and a variety of items to choose from, the staff is willing to help. In July they started to do a ten percent military discount and I greatly appreciate their efforts to support the troops excellent job Northern tool & equipment!

Went in to buy a generator and was helped by Josh. They did everything possible to ensure customer satisfaction, even including allowing me to exchange for a more powerful model the next day. Awesome customer service - better than expected. Thanks Josh and team!

Tried to order a 4200 dollar stand by home generator from NT. At one point there was 8400 dollars of authorization charges on our card, and first charge never dropped off.
On the phone for hours, about 1o to 12 all together. Out of pure frustration, I cancelled order. When I cancelled, NT added a third authorization hold. Now there is almost 13000 dollars worth of hold charges on our card rendering it useless. Had we had some sort of an emergency, our only card would have been nothing more than a window scraper.
Thanks NORTHER TOOL for absolutely nothing, but an ulcer. Will never shop MY again, and certainly won't recommend to anyone. Especially for a major purchase!
What a shame!

I came in with a large list of tools and accessories having no idea what half of them were. The employees were able to quickly locate the tools as well as give an explanation of what they were and why they recommended the specific tool that they did. Very good service and selection.

I had bought a sand blaster from them and discovered that it had a defect from the factory. The manufacture of the sandblaster was not helpful so I decided to try going through Northern to remedy my problem. They were extremely helpful and within 20 minutes of being at the store they had gotten me the new piece to replace the one that was defective. Would buy from them again!
