Lead technician, Tyler Moore and his helper completed a two day complete installation of our new heat pump/natural gas system. The work performed was top notch. When complete, Tyler explained the entire system and set up the Wi-Fi. Most highly recommend this company.
We had Precision come to our home to de-scale the water heater. Jack Alexander was the technician, and during the visit he was able to also diagnose and correct several other issues ( including a small propane leak) that had occurred during installation by a previous vendor. Jack was super thorough and helpful, and we will definitely be using Precision going forward for all our heating and cooling needs!
Owen called ahead to let me know he was a little ahead of schedule (God send being early) was absolutely fabulous!!
Professional, efficient, explained in ‘plain English’ all that he did, thoroughly explored all the possibilities, didn’t mind me watching and answered all my questions. Could not have been happier with his service!
You guys are lucky to have an asset for an employee like Owen!
Precision came out to diagnose my problem right away, and they had my system up and running in less the 24 hours. Owen was absolutely great. He was very polite and professional. He explained everything to me, and he was a pleasure to interact with
Tim and his team were great! Deb was quick in scheduling appointments and doing the paperwork. Tyler, Gill and Ben installed the HVAC in time and were very neat. Josh gave finishing touches. One of the dampers malfunctioned with in a week. Tim was quick to respond and Josh fixed it within no time! Awesome people !
Jack came through and performed a very thorough service and cleaning of our mini-split system. Very professional with a strong attention to detail. Everything looks great! Highly recommended.
As others have mentioned, their pricing for simple service/maintenance is insane. No quotes provided prior to doing work, I foolishly assumed a standard maintenance on 6 month old system would be ~$200-$250.
Nope, I got charged $130 for changing an air filter. $120 for changing a ph filter, and then another ~$200 or so for cleaning just the furnace.
Precision Heating and Cooling was able to schedule us for a furnace service within just 10 days. Jack was very knowledgeable and explained everything he needed to do and parts that he recommended to be replaced. He also showed pictures of the inside of the furnace that helped explain it's wear. He serviced our hot water heater while he was here because that needed service as well. I am happy that we found a company that we'll be using for our annual checks and future furnace replacement.
Jack, the technician shown up when he said he would at my house and when right to work. How great is that? He asked a number of questions and and began a methodical and thorough examination of my heating system. He explained fully what the issues were, and the anticipated expense for repairs. What a pleasant experience it was to deal with a professional. Not to mention that Jack was extremely courteous and respectful. I'm already planning when I will have Precision Heating & Cooling back to work on the cooling system.
I've had a mostly positive experience with Precision Heading & Cooling. Let me start out with the positives. Tim is knowledgeable and personable. The entire team was professional, kind, and efficient. The whole team would take the time to explain and answer questions. We had a few miscommunications (more on that later) but Tim made sure concerns raised during the install were addressed promptly. I believe Tim and the whole team are willing to go above an beyond.
My biggest negative was around the clarity of communication. I'll share feedback I directly gave to Tim here as well.
"I think we've had a few communication hiccups over the course of this project, mostly, I think, because I talk to you, you talk to the crew and then they do their thing. Perhaps there's an opportunity to improve your processes for the future there somehow."
Some of the issues I understand, as we were going to refinish an unfinished section of the basement, but have decided not to do so a few months ago. (An inventory issues getting the heat pumps on time actually caused us to miss a window with a contractor, and since then we've given. Difficulties getting back on a schedule changed our plans for the space at this point). Some of the wire runs are a sloppy, but that was done, I believe with the expectation that it would get cleaned up later. I did not ask Tim to correct that.
There are a handful of other fit and finish sort of issues that came up, like a hot water line getting ran in an inefficient way (about 2x longer than needed but a bit easier to do), drop ceiling that was knocked down but reinstalled covering the existing light, etc. Most were not a big issue, but just didn't point to the absolute highest quality standards of some of the crew. Any issues that did need resolution (such as bolts that weren't tightened or wrong type of hole filler), Tim ensured they were addressed ASAP.
All the quibbles aired, I again want to stress that the team has been responsive to any issues that came up with our heat pumps, including a strange configuration bug that left the emergency heat inoperative during the sub zero cold snap. I misunderstood the wireless controller and Tim added, without extra charge, a component that he could have billed me a couple hundred for. Precision gave a competitive quote and managed the process of removing an old oil furnace and tank, installing a hot water heater, and heat pumps and air handlers. The heat pumps work great, the sizing seems correct, and overall the job was successful, but there were enough hiccups that giving 5 stars just isn't possible. I do recommend them, just be sure to make sure all expectations and details are clear with the team at your house before the work starts.
