UPDATE: McCrea called me back and were very kind, courteous and helpful , as they usually are. The situation was resolved. They are very responsive to their customers. That kind of customer care cannot be beat. I'm upgrading my review from 1 starto 4⭐⭐⭐
MCCrea I've been with him a long time and they provide excellent service. However this last time was a different story. I called and used the website to book an appointment. Confirmation was immediately texted to me with the date and times. Shortly thereafter somebody called me to cancel my appointment. I asked for another date and time frame. She said I can't provide you with the time frame. I said I work too so I need a Time frame. She said I'm telling you I can't give you a time frame. I said I can't wait around all day because I work. I said I don't know what to do. And she replied why don't you just cancel. Chill for no solution. She didn't say anything else. She was very rude. And the call just ended. Never in all my years of using McCrea did I come across a person so rude. Normally I would rate the cray five stars. But as for their customer service on the phone I wish I could give it zero Stars. One last thing. I called to complain and they were very courteous and they said they lost my complaint and somebody will call me asap. I've been waiting for over half an hour and it's past 5:00 now and they are closed and I'm not getting a call today. So much for getting in ASAP response. What's happened to this company? They're definitely going down the tubes.

Just had McCrea H&AC take care of the Spring tune-up of our AC unit. Vincent the technician arrived on time, was very pleasant and professional. As our unit is an older whole house unit he advised us on the possibilities of needing to replace the system in the near future. We were aware of this upcoming possibility and he was able to answer many questions knowledgeably and frankly. Given our experience, I would strongly recommend McCrea H&AC for your HVAC needs.

Rob arrived exactly when he said he would. He was so knowledgeable about installing a mini-split heat pump system that he knew the correct lengths to cut for every wire, hose, cable or pipe. He left the place spotless and went over carefully every aspect of the operation of the thermostat, the fan and cleaning the filter. Will call McCrae again for any HVAC work if Rob is involved. Great price too.

The men from McCrea where friendly, personable and explained everything both during and after the installation. They were on time, worked competently, knew what they were doing and did a great job. I would like to give the highest review above to the technician who came to repair my "no heat" call, he called ahead of time, got here on time and fixed the problem.
However I had a very disappointing interaction with your office staff who schedules appointments. I was in business for many years and I strongly advise you to correct this problem. I assure you it will have your clients looking for other service providers. I called on Thursday morning to report I had no heat, I was placed on hold for about 10 before I spoke to a representative, during that time there was a lengthy dialog on how good your services are. I explained to the operator that I had to leave for out of town by noon (on Thursday) and would not return until late on Friday, therefore I needed to have service on Saturday, she was not helpful, telling me that should could not schedule for Saturday because her supervisor was not available, she quoted several prices for weekend service, and stated the technician would not be one of the regular service technicians. She indicated her supervisor would be in shortly and she would call me with an appointment schedule, I stressed to her I would really appreciate a response before I left at noon, and I would be in a meeting on Friday and unable to respond to phone calls. I received a phone call on Friday while I was in the meeting, when we took a quick break, I called the number back, the operator indicated she would forward the call, there was another 10 minute on hold time, and when the individual replied she said the call had been directed to the wrong site, and she would forward it, there was another long wait while again heard how good your services were, but before I was connected, I had to return to the meeting. Late Friday afternoon, while I was in the car returning from my meeting I was finally able to reach someone who was able to to give me a time for the technician to arrive on Saturday, again her main point rather than providing the service, was a lengthy discussion on the cost of the call on the weekend. I am extremely satisfied with the services we received from McCrea Heating & Air. The technicians were punctual, courteous and extremely knowledgeable with the furnace and ac install. I plan to continue to use them for the maintenance of my units. I would highly recommend McCrea for all heating and ac work.

I have a 4 year old Goodman HVAC system that stopped heating upstairs. I was referred to McCrea by Southern MD HVAC, the installer at my new construction home in 2016. (Southern MD apparently doesn't do repairs, only new construction) We called McCrea on Dec 29 and was told the earliest appt. was Jan 7! She said if they get a cancellation they will call earlier, we were hopeful. Well Jan 7 rolls around and no call from McCrea, we call them in the morning to confirm and they have no record of us even having an appointment!! We waited 9 days for nothing! Needless to say, McCrea will not be fixing our heat and deserve a 1 star review, can i give ZERO??

McCrea has always done a great job of servicing my HVAC system but this time it was Excellent. Gianni Nightengale was excellent and communicated exactly what the problem was with my system. He was polite and made sure I was satisfied before he completed the work.

Replacing a heating & cooling system is a big deal, and it takes a good sales consultant to quiet a customer's anxieties; providing me options regarding the type of system will suit my needs, what's going to happen, how inconveniencing this action will be, and how long the process will take.
My consultant said, "It will take 5 hours." Well, the service men finished in 5 hours. Showing me around my new system, they had used some existing brick in my backyard to build up the ground base to level the heat pump. That was great. It looked so good, and it was so quiet. The clean up was spot on. No debris left behind; nothing for me to do put stare at my new unit. In discussing the details regarding my new system, I understood what I had and what I had to do. I was so pleased with the service mens' courtesy, professionalism, and promptness. Thank you.
I have already sent the information and experience to a family friend in Laurel so you may be contacted sometime in the near future.

I can’t tell you enough good about my experiences with McCrea. They are first rate. From the people you talk with on the phone, their people in billing, their appointment people and the technicians, all are kind, professional, eager to help, and through! I would ask for Roderick anytime I need service. He is the best of the best!
