Glenmont Heating & Air Conditioning

I used Glenmont for two different tasks, installing a new thermostat and a diagnostic check of my ac unit. The tech did a good job with the thermostat, butthe diagnostic was not worth the $120 I paid. The tech barely looked at the ac unit, and did not take the time to check the airflow, which I was concerned about.

I was looking for help with an existing multi-unit multi-zoned HVAC system that was not well balanced. The rooms with a thermostat were comfortable but other rooms without the thermostat were either too hot or too cold. Essentially, the original installers did not do a good job of balancing the systems. I went through months and multiple vendors (Tristate, Michaels, Tuckers) that either could not figure out how to fix things or knew the solution but said they did not do that kind of work (BGE Home). Glenmont figured it out right away, came up with creative solutions that minimized damage to dry walls and got everything installed expeditiously. While the initial install was not perfectly balanced in regards to air flow, they came back to make that perfect without a charge. I would not use anyone else for either a repair of an existing system but more importantly for a new install, to get it right the first time.

I have been working with Glenmont since they installed the HVAC system in our house 12 years ago. Have never had a bad experience with them; always on time with impeccable service. I would not even think about going anywhere else.

Do yourself a favor and call somebody else. My fan blower had stopped working, so I called Glenmont HVAC .They scheduled a tech to come out to chevk it out. When he arrives, before even looking at the problem, he says I'm going to gave to replace my whole HVAC unit. I tell him I want to see if it can be fixed before dropped several thousand bucks on a new one, so he opens the unit up, cursing there whole time and constantly stopping to check his phone where he is playing the new Harry Potter Hogwarts mystery game. He finally decides to replace a broken bracket. I pay him and all is well.

2 days later it stops working again. I call to have the tech come back out. This time, he says he can't fix it and asks if I would like a sales guy to come out to give me an estimate on a new unit. I say yes and get a call a few hours later to get up the estimate.

The sales guy comes out, does his thing, and says he be will email me the quote the next morning. The next day before passes with no quote. I call the day bc after that and he tells me he "was busy" but would send me the quote that afternoon. I still have not received a quote from them .

Bottom line, there are plenty of HVAC contractors in the area. If Glenmont HVAC doesn't want my money, I'll happily take it elsewhere.

Had a service call from Glenmont. They do not offer mechanical services in residential installations, or maybe only if you have a contact. $120 to say I can't help... bye.

Definitely a place I'm going to recommend to my friends and family now. The technician was honest efficient and made no effort to try to take advantage of me or charge me for anything extra. I think the technicians name was Eric.

Glenmont Heating and Air Conditioning is great company to work for! All the technicians and managers are really helpful when I don't understand the technical terminology they use.

Very positive. Only question: service guy said you would replace the platform on which the outside unit sits, because it is causing vibration. Hasn't been any follow up. JRV
