We are very pleased with Scott's service call! Thanks to his experience, diligence and conscientious work ethic, we learned of a serious malfunction in the heater housing. Had this been overlooked, there could have been VERY serious consequences. He spent considerable time explaining our options and answering our questions. He is a GREAT, representative of Lightning, Inc.! __Mike and Rina Biondolillo
I would give them zero stars if I could. just like any other negative reviews that they posted here. they tried charging me a ridiculous price for just diagnosing my AC leaking problem, which even their manager admitted was far above normal rate. I am talking 400% higher than other company quoted me. if you are not doing your homework and double checking what they say, you can be easily taken advantage of by these people.
On May 5, 2020, I had a Lightning Services consultant named Paul come by to evaluate the cost of replacing a home generator. He gave me a figure of over $14,800, which he said is a flat rate as the company does not itemize the various costs associated with the replacement. I guess I would be a fool to sign a contract.
Lightning Service was contacted by Generac to do a home consultation for installing a generator at my home. I received an email stating the appointment was confirmed for July 1 in the morning, but no additional correspondence. On June 30th, I received a phone call at 1:51 p.m. from Gail with Lightning Service to confirm my July 1 appointment at 8 a.m., but I was on a conference call for work. I then received another phone call at 1:59 p.m. and an email at 2:00 p.m. When I was able to call them back at 2:21 p.m., I explained to Gail that I would not be available at 8 a.m., but could do 8:30 a.m. to which she stated, "I'll have the sales person there between 8 and 8:30 and I repeated I wouldn't be at my home at 8 a.m. She was rude and after I hung the phone up with her, I ended up calling back and cancelling the appointment. I would not recommend this service if this is how they treat customers when trying to get new business as I could only imagine how they would treat customers once they already have their business.
Lightning has came to service our A/C unit and took it upon them selves to also let us know that our unit was installed improperly...wow the house is 10 years old and after Katrina was totally rebuilt. The tech let my mother in law know that if they do not fix this problem with the a/c the house will blow up.....not too coooool lightning. After the tech left my mother in law who is 78 was very upset/confused with the service. My house has not BLOWN up and all was installed accurately but they choose to make money by lying to the public Lightning service is a rip off will never use again...
They came and serviced our generator during the power outage after Ida. Very responsive. My brother-in-law couldn't even get a return call from his generator contractor.
Lightening Services charged $330.67 to replace a single light switch (including their $84 fee for coming out). I only used them because it was a problem with a brand new tenant who had just moved in, and I could not get my regular electrician there. I told them to go ahead and replace the switch and I would pay them, but I would NEVER call them for anything else again.
The electrician was very helpful in resolving the electric problem in my daughter room. I had two electricians from other accompanies to come out and the issue still was happening thanks to Corbin Logue he identify the problem and now it's fix. I will call lightning service the next time I has any electric issues.
Very professional and timely .... Although they may be slightly higher than other companies for electrical work, they make it up with professionalism and honest analysis of issues... I would certainly consider them for AC and Electrical jobs in the future as a goto for straightforward opinions.
This company charged my elderly Mother who lives alone in Metairie, LA $263 to change one freaking light switch!!! Talk about taking advantage of a little old lady with no electrical experience. Unfortunately I live out of town. You guys should be ashamed of yourself.
