I work for a electrical company. We were called out to a senior citizens home 2 days before Christmas, the home owner tells me they called Lighting services to repair a problem one bedroom has lights and receptacle without power. When lighting services employee get there he tells home owner you need to pay me$85 for service call before I can start working. They write a check the guy looks in bedroom then goes in attick he comes down tells home owner the problems in the attack and the space the problems in is to small for me to fit in and he leaves. I won't call these thieves electricians. There was aGFI receptacle in the bedroom that was tripped all he had to do was know what he was doing, tripped GFI's are the cause of 75 percent of service calls. Anyways I called Lighting services to ask them to refund these 85 year old people money back and the woman who answered was the owners wife same owner who made service call and she refused to make the refund. Please don't trust Lighting service with your lives,
I have purchased a full house generator, as well as a heating/solar powered A/C system from this company. The point person for the heating/AC system was Paul Blanchard. My need for this equipment was critical as my heat went out during an unusually cold February.
Thanks to Paul, space heaters were loaned to me, and I was given priority service on the installation of the new Lenox system.
I have been most satisfied with this system, and with LIGHTNING service maintenance technicians.
So, I would like to also recognize Roy, who has been to my house so many times that I am now requesting him by name. He is always prompt, courteous, and thorough in explaining any issues.
I expect to continue to do business with LIGHTNING, and definitely recommend them.
We are longtime customers of Lightning Service and have not been disappointed in this relationship. Today we were having our annual generator service and our semi-annual a/c service. Included was a check of the electric panel which proved to be a good thing for the safety of my family. Due to many reasons, the panel needed to be replaced. Roy is an amazing technician and truly a credit to his company. He is caring, conscientious as well as professional and was a lifesaver for us. He was here for just under 12 hours, but he made sure that we had safe power and safe a/c. We know he was worn out after such a long day, but he never showed it. Roy is definitely our hero!
Scott was the technician today for my A/C issue. He was so informative and knowledgable about several solutions and some safety warnings that it made me feel I made the right call. I always used Lightning Service for years before I left town for a while after Katrina . Happy to be back with them!
Horrible service and really a total scam. The service was set up by Bryant for warranty repair. They charged $84 to come out. The extremely overweight tech had every excuse in the book to refuse even looking at our unit. It was too high, too scary, dont have a ladder, not comfortable on scaffolding, set back too small, etc etc. Our unit is on a platform that was built to code with permits and inspections from the city of New Orleans. But this tech is telling me otherwise. Then he says he can't do anything anyway because we are a commercial building- what?! My home is a commercial building? Total scam; avoid this company at all costs
We had a $10,000 new air conditioning unit installed to our home in 2011. The unit started to shut itself off completely and we thought it was due to the drain pan being full. The last time it happened my husband went into the attic to explore and found a pipe not connected and water on the ceiling. We called to have them come out and I was advised there was an $85 fee for them to even come out and look at it. We were out of the warranty period. We had them come out and the technician told my husband that we had to pay for the services which was almost $300 but he would have the service manager call us. He said that the drain pipe probably was installed improperly to begin with. The service manager never called my husband so after 3 wks I called him. He said the technician told him the issue was not their drain pipe but the pipe that it was connected to and they don't cover that pipe. So the tech told my husband and his boss 2 different stories. He said that pipe is more than likely bad. I asked why we were not told that originally 3 yrs ago when we installed the unit and he said the techs are not plumbers and can't make that call. When I questioned then how he can make that call now he told me that he didn't say the pipe was bad...anyway, we haven't had the unit serviced by them since 2012 and it isn't their issue. I informed him we had the unit serviced just not by them bc they are extremely over priced. He basically said none of it was their issue. I would expect that if I spend that much money with your company that you will stand by your product and installation and not push the issue off on a pipe that you say is bad. If that pipe is bad then we should've been told that when they installed a $10,000 unit into our attic! They do not stand by their product/installation and do not know what customer service is.
Initially spoke with a salesman by the name of Ron Matherne, received prompt and courteous service. Excellent customer services and extremely knowledgeable about services and prices offered by his company. Great availability and thoughtful appointment times even with my busy schedule. Roy Kraemer the Technician came out to my house gave me A+ service. Also provided a complete break down on billing and services provided. Technician was patient , neat and extremely organized. I will be using them for all my AC and heating needs in the future. Thanks Lighting Service!!
Hate to post this, but I am compelled to because this company decided it appropriate to start sending texts without my permission asking for a review. Careful what you wish for. While my tech was nice and personable, I was charged $450 to DIAGNOSE an issue. Not fix it, mind you-diagnose it. To boot, I was charged $65 to fix a problem cause by the tech. To add insult to injury, when I inspected their work after they were gone, I discovered that they failed to reconnect a ground wire that they disconnected during the course of the diagnosis. Had I not caught this, and reconnected it myself, it could have been disastrous. Very difficult for me to pay very premium pricing for that type of work.
These guys are the best in the business for HVAC and generator installation.
From the first home visit to identify what would be the best solution for our house through installation we never had a question that they couldn’t answer without the worry that their answer might be BS.
The install crew was onsite on the date and time as promised and walked me through the entire installation process before they started just to make sure I was onboard with their plan. Total time onsite from start to finish including cleanup was less than 8 hours.
I’d recommend Lightening Services to anyone. If your looking for cheep call sombody who knows somebody for a discount.
But if you want value for your dollar, a strong reputation and someone that will answer their phone when you call, call Lightening Services.
