Excellent Service! Needed 2nd opinion on High Efficiency furnace replacement after 13 month installation. Bernie Hartung & Associates came out in summer and found no safety or operational problem, heat exchanger was fine, suggested recheck in fall with colder temps enabling longer run times.
Checked with gas monitor and no indication of leaking heat exchanger.
Reinstalled fresh air pipe which had been removed and repositioned the drain tube which wasn't inserted into the condensation pump reservoir and drooping allowing water to create air pocket in the drain line.
Original HVAC installer checked in Dec./Jan. while we were out of town and we found power had been turned off when returning in April, without letting us know.
Would recommend to anyone. Courteous and knowledgeable, will tell it like it is.

Matt was there early in the morning to fix a thermostat issue. He was able to diagnose the problem and provide a fix for the issue. Always dependable over many years!

If you need any HVAC service these guys are the way to go. They replaced two furnaces, one A/C, did some ductwork, and have done basic service for us for years.

Larry and his crew did a great job on our install, and left no trace after they finished. Mike provided a very reasonable quote, and even had additional ductwork installed to ensure the job was done correctly.

Been using Bernie Hartung for the last 12 years for all my heating and a/c repairs and maintenance. Honest, quick to respond and always puts the customer first.

I’ve used Bernie Hartung and Associates for several years. They are professional and always respond quickly when I have a problem. The service technician was prompt and polite, and had to replace a condensation pump fan. Later the same day, Columbia Gas came and turned off all gas to my home, due to an unrelated gas leak( I requested their service when I smelled gas near a gas fireplace on other end of house).
It was late yesterday, and I didn’t know a plumber to call. I was very worried because much colder temperatures were expected in 36 hours. I talked to Mike Hartung and he sent the same tech back to my house, even though this gas log fireplace did not have anything to do with the HVAC system.
The tech was hoping to evaluate where the leak was, but Columbia Gas had locked the gas turn off valve. He proceeded to look through my crawl space and attic until he found the gas line that led to the fireplace valve. There was no shut off. Mike Hartung and I talked and he sent an installation guy this morning, who crawled into my attic and made a turn-off valve above the fireplace. Columbia Gas is coming back today to turn my gas back on.
We will get the fireplace repaired in a timely manner, but for now, I am so grateful for Hartung and Associates for going above and beyond the expected customer service. I am blown away, and so grateful that I’ll have central heat when the temperature is supposed to drop below freezing tonight!
