West Heating & Cooling are responsive and do great work. They don't waste time. They are friendly and professional. Great service provider that I recommend.

My home warranty sent the service call to West. Wayne and son said my furnace and coils were improperly installed causing the 13 yr old a/c unit's compressor to go out, tried to up charge $4-10k for furnace and/or ductwork to have the warranty cover the A/C unit, threatened "if I tell the warranty company, they won't cover the ac". They installed a hard start kit which lasted less than a week.

Three licensed contractor friends came and reassured his diagnosis was incorrect, just needed new compressor or unit. Furnace and ductwork are fine. Shared their findings with; he said "they must not be licensed", among other condescending remarks. I did not want him back at my house.

When the compressor finally went out a few days later, I called the home warranty and asked for an authorized 2nd opinion. They apologized for the experience and sent a new contractor, reassuring me they would do their best to cover it, and they did! A $5,000 new a/c unit, no furnace or ductwork needed. Definitely recommend Old Republic, but not West!

Had a great experience working with Wayne at West Heating & Cooling. After being referred by our realtor, Brent Sledd, Wayne came out on time, was very professional and helpful as he explained to me what was going on with our A/C unit and how he would repair it. He did all the necessary work within about an hour and had us cooling back off in no time. Prices seemed very fair and the workmanship was great too. I highly recommend Wayne and his team at West Heating and Cooling!

After dealing with an inadequate air conditioner system and talking to several technicians and getting absolutely nowhere for 2 years, my unit finally bit the dust entirely and I came home from a weekend trip to a house at 91 degrees! Wayne from West came out that same day and promptly fixed the immediate problem of a burned out compressor motor and also addressed a web of underlying inefficiencies. I was very happy with his promptness and attention to detail. After working with practically every single air conditioner company in Kansas City, I highly recommend West Heating and Cooling.

I was forced to go through whoever we received from our home warranty company and was having a miserable time with various companies around the metro area. I am six months pregnant and the ac in our new house was out during the summer -- MISERABLE! I did not expect much from this outfit based on online reviews but they were notified on a Saturday morning from our warranty company and they called us that day and came out to check what was wrong.

Our technician, Wayne, diagnosed the issue immediately, had the parts he needed on hand and was able to get our air back on within a couple of hours with the only charge being what goes through the warranty company. After a week of the runaround from various other places this was a godsend. We are very grateful and appreciative of Wayne's expertise and his willingness to extend his long day in the heat to ensure we could finally be comfortable. THANK YOU!

This company was referred to us, by our home warranty program, after our furnace stopped working. The Home Warranty company sent them a message and said that they would call me before the end of the business day. They did not call me, so I called them and they did not return my phone call. The next day I called my home warranty company and they got a hold of the company and the technician immediately called me. He was absolutely rude to me and my partner on the phone, making condescending remarks. Extremely unprofessional. I called my home warranty company back and canceled the appointment - I did not want this guy in my house. Now it's Thanksgiving weekend and we're probably going to have to wait a week before we get heat in our house, but its better than having to deal with this company!

My home warranty set me up with this company. My AC went out on a Friday and Wayne came out and fixed it on Saturday. He took the time to explain what happened and why it quit working. Great company!

I was very pleased with West heating and cooling. I had a new energy efficient air conditioner and furnace installed. I was impressed with Waynes'' knowledge and attention to detail. Wayne , Jessie, and Steven were all a pleasure to work with and did a great job. I am very pleased

I really wish I knew the guys name to give him a shoutout, but this company has been amazing to work with, from communicating and fixing ac...I highly reccomend them an plan to use them again if need be. My home warranty set me up with them.
