They installed our furnace in 2017 when the house was built. Immediate problems with water leaking from bottom and causing water damage in the adjoining room. Needed to have them come out 5X before was fixed. Over the last 2-3 years the furnance has quit working within weeks of using it in the cold months. Each time there was a need for multiple trips within days of the first repair. This year is the last time. We are done with this company and will not be calling them for service in the future.

Please check reviews before using this company. Some positive, some negative. The kicker is this company doesn't comment on any review. I scrolled for awhile...nothing....like they don't care?

I live with my s/o and he has been using the company for years. According to him, they've been good. We just used this company this past week and in my opinion (and now his), they are not good, great, decent, or even okay.

Air conditioner leaks freon. We know it, they just filled it a few pounds last year. I called them in the morning requesting service. Someone called me back mid-morning and said they would have someone out in the afternoon) which they did (around 4:30).

Kicker and why I will not go back to them to install our NEW A/C unit that we obviously need.

- was charged for an "after hours" fee
- they filled the freon, but never, EVER said how much freon is.

How could they not tell us the cost before they filling the freon up? What kind of service is that? Plus the "after hours" fee?

The other kicker...NOT ONCE have they ever done a leak check on the system. Never.

Nothing was transparent, nothing was communicated, the service man filled the A/C, went to his van, wrote up the bill and that was it.

So, yes, this place is okay for your normal misc "stuff", but if you have an issue that may cost a decent amount of money, I would beware. They will not communicate to you the cost of the service before they complete it, they will just do it and give you a nice big bill.

Bussanmas has always been very honest and fair with their pricing and work. When another company told us we would have to replace our entire fireplace, they fixed it in 20min for the service call fee. When another company charged a couple of hundred dollars to tell us what was wrong and recommended another several hundred dollar "fix", they came out and showed us how to use the garden hose to clean the AC, again 20min and the call fee. When our furnace went out, we didn't bother calling anyone else!

After a 5 minute visit, I was told I need to pay $100 for the visit even though I am under warranty (have had my AC units for 9 months) and just purchased my AC units less than a year ago. I called Bussanmas for their knowledge and help, but if their help doesn't require a part replacement I am charged for the visit. I am not pleased with this level of service and do not feel like a valued customer.

Garbage. A/C stopped working on a Friday. 3rd party answering service told me they wouldn’t do anything until it was 80 degrees. Called at least 5 times after it hit 80 degrees and was told a service tech would contact me. No calls. I live in a brand new house built by a cheap builder. I’m sure they use this company because they’re cheap.

If you enjoy the sound of popcorn popping throughout your home at all hours of the day (butter smell not included), this company may be a good fit. We built a home in 2020 and our builder used this company to install the HVAC and water heater.
Ever since installation our ducts/vents have snapped and popped any time the furnace is running. I've had to close the vent in my bedroom due to the constant clicking. We turn music or tv on in other rooms to drown out the popping and banging throughout the rest of the home. We did have someone come out and look at it early on. A guy came in with a hammer for about 5 minutes and pounded on the ducts/vents a few times. When he didn't hear the noise briefly, he said "I think I whooped it", then proceeded to pack up and leave. The issues has not improved. The employee admitted that the duct metal they had been getting in has been making these noises when it heats up. Nearly 2 winters down and the noise is still constant. Would not recommend!!
I'll follow up with a review on the water heater they installed and the recent gas smell once I get that figured out.

Bussanmas was fantastic to work with during this particularly hot Iowa summer. I had to use their after hours service this past weekend, which was professional and had an immediate response to my inquiry. I was panicked about the inventory in our business and the potentially financial loss due to the extreme temperatures we are experiencing currently. Their level of professionalism is top notch. Thank you for taking care of business and installing a new unit quickly.

My Nest thermostat stopped working. I didn't know Bussanmas from any other Heating and Cooling company, but they did install the furnace and had their contact information on my furnace. I called them and got a call back from James within 10 min and an answer on how to address my problem. I had to get another question answered by James after hours the same day and he called me back again in 10 min. I was back up and running again quickly. Based on this response, I intend to continue working with Bussanmas, including on another HVAC project. Thanks James for your great customer service!

This company is horrible. They say one thing and do another. We were told we would receive a refund for unused service agrement but then tbey decided to charge us for service calls and reduced the amount dramatically. They had to come out 2 additional times because they never fixed the problem originally. We had to call another HVAC company to come and fix the problem. They said our unit was filthy even though that company had been out for an a/c check less than a month before and we had just had a repair done. If you want to get the run around every time you call, have an owner who is never around or will never call you back, be overcharged and have unprofessional service then this is the company for you. I would give negative stars if possible.

Was very professional, on time, a great employee to this company. Was training another person with details on what to look for and how to check safely. Travis is tech and did a great job. I call this company as have done this myself many years for house but age and health doesn't let me get it done. Need to find reliable and trustworthy company that wife can call and know it will be safe.
