They came out the same day I called and solved our problem. Very happy.

I have used Muegge for several years and they have been good. After a recent HVAC service call I had them come back to check a potential problem. The tech (Rob) spent 10 minutes and found no issue with the auxiliary heat staying on. He said the cost was $40 for the call.
However when I got the bill the $40 was scratched off and changed to $105! I called Muegge and they said that is their price. This is excessive for what was done and dishonest, being told one price then charging far more.
I will avoid this company in the future.

I called this company after seeing their van in my neighborhood. I scheduled an appointment and the woman on the phone was abrupt but otherwise fine. I gave her my phone number and she took it down wrong. I repeated it three more times.

On the scheduled date, the plumber did not show up to my house. I called the next day to ask what happed and the same woman rudely told me that the plumber was at my house and I didn't answer the door and that he tried to call me three times. I asked her to confirm the number that she called and it was the wrong number. She agreed to send a plumber out the same day.

The plumber arrived within an hour. Walked in to look at my toilet and told me the bolt holding the tank to the bowl was broke and that was causing me a leak. He told me that my toilet was old and he may not be able to get parts. He left telling me that someone would call me and let me know if they could get parts. He was in my home for less than 5 minutes.

I heard nothing for a week, so I called a different company. That company came out same day. Diagnosed the same problem with the broken bolt. The plumber walked out to his truck and came back with two bolts and made the repair on the spot. He was here for less than 20 minutes. The total repair-including service call was $99.

A few days later, I got a bill from Muegge for $65. It stated that they could not get parts for my toilet and that I would have to get it replaced. It also said they tried to call me and left messages. I checked the contact information on the bill-they still had the wrong number.

Long story short-I was charge $65 for the privilege of being lied to and told that I needed to replace my toilet at a cost of nearly $500. I have reported this company to the IN attorney general consumer fraud unit.

Had a drain clog affecting entire house. I had tried to clear using an electric snake, but was unable. They dispatched Seth quickly, and he was able to get to the clog and clear it. He took care to keep mud out of the house, was friendly and explained what he was doing and how our pipes were routed. Service was great and would use again!

I have had several experiences with Muegge through Heating/AC, electric, and plumbing. For the most part, they have done a great job with the service. Everytime they have come the job is done properly. My main complaint is the billing. Before I set the appointment I always ask what the rate is so I can get a rough idea of how much it should be. 2 times now they have tried to charge me significantly more than what I should be charged for labor. In the end, I asked about it and they have made it right (Wendy has been very helpful), but its very unsettling that this has happened multiple times. The first time they tried to charge me too much, I told them how much it should have been because i talked to someone at the office and the rate should be $XX per hour. They asked me who I talked to and when I told them, they then corrected the labor rate. The second time it was for a 2 hour job so it should have been very easy to calculate but it was $38 too high. I will not be using Muegge anymore for my Plumbing or Heating needs.

They try to talk you into a contract when they come out but my contact expired on 5/13/20. They were supposedly doing all the checks on my now 4 year old compressor but it quit working on the holiday weekend and they never returned our calls when their Call service says they usually call back within 2 hours. My 4 year compressor has to be replaced for a price of $1000 dollars. One hour came out on Tuesday and it’s Wednesday of this holiday week and still not heard from them Muegge!

I own a building with 4 businesses in it. I called them out 3 months ago when the temp was in the 80's to "THE INSURANCE OFFICE" which had no A/C. Apparently they went to the HEARING AID OFFICE, where of course there was no problem, but they sent me a bill for $84 for a service call. Next week, the INSURANCE OFFICE calls me, asks why I didn't send repair for their A/C yet. I call Muegge again, service part ordered , and after two weeks in sweltering heat, the AC at the insurance office was restored, for a deserved $1500. Regardless, they are still invoicing me repeatedly for their incorrect address service call!!! They know about the problem, and just included it in the new balance that I actually do owe. THAT'S SLIMY!! I've used Muegge many times, at home and in my businesses, and THAT IS HOW THEY TREAT A GOOD CUSTOMER. I ADVISE YOU ALL TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

I cannot say enough POSITIVE about Muegge Plumbing and Heating. They installed a new water softner, water pump, our HVAC unit and more over the past few years as our older home needed updates. Trusted people to be in our home, incredible service and the best part - - LOCAL FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS! Appreciate all they did, and will continue to do as a trusted company we welcome into our home.

We had Muegge come out and fix our dryer for us a couple of months ago. The gentleman did the work and the dryer was fixed; or so we thought. Two nights ago, we started our dryer and went to bed. The next morning, the laundry wasn’t dry. The dryer had quit working. My husband pulled the dryer forward and looked. The area that Muegge fixed had a significant burnt area on it. The area where the cord plugs into the dryer was completely fried. Muegge sent someone out to us to fix it. This man was very nice and seems to have done a good job. He showed me photos of what happened and explained how the first guy who “fixed” things a few months ago did the work incorrectly. The first man failed to put in a part, and that missing part “caused the explosion” as the employee stated today. Our home could have caught on fire because of this issue. The man today then said they weren’t planning to charge us a full fee; just $40. I stated that we should not be responsible for any fee at all since this was completely caused by Muegge in the first place. The man agreed with me and said he would tell his boss and that they would call me. They did call, and the lady I spoke with said that they wouldn’t charge us the $40. I said that I felt that they should refund us at least part of our first bill, since the first man’s mistake could have cost us our house (and lives, honestly). She said she would ask and call me back. She called back to inform me that they are unable to refund any of the cost because they have now rectified the situation. I strongly disagree and feel that they should refund at least part of our original bill, if not all. This was a very dangerous situation completely caused by Muegge. It was also very distasteful of them to even try to charge us the $40 fee today. What kind of business sees that their employee made a major mistake on a job and put your home and life in danger, and then tries to charge you money after they fix their mistake?? We won’t be utilizing their services in the future.

Very responsive service. Technician diagnosed the problem with my furnace quickly and resolved the first time. I highly recommend Muegge Heating and Cooling.
