We've used Riley in the past, both for replacing our air conditioner at our old condo as well as for service calls. They are courteous, professional, and timely without fail. After having a draft inducer on our furnace fail, we needed a quick replacement, as it was a Friday entering into a cold weekend. The draft inducer on our unit is held in place with four screws and uses a single plug to operate...a job an untrained professional like myself could do (and did, to see how easy it is) in ten minutes. I could order this part for less than $400, but delivery would be Monday, so we (my son, myself,, and my wife who has stage IV cancer) would have to suffer through the weekend if I did that. I was thinking that with labor, this was at most a $600 job, and was willing to pay for the convenience. Turns out to be a $1000 plus dollar job that takes ten minutes. The receipt isn't even itemized so I can't tell how much they gouged me for price on the part versus labor. I feel taken advantage of, and will not be using them again.
We’ve used Riley’s maintenance program for years and have always had fantastic, friendly and professional service! The techs are honest and extremely curteous come twice a year and keep the furnace and AC in tip top shape. Don H was great this most recent time.

Our furnace went out, our house was a meatlocker, and Howard showed up at 10:30pm to get the furnace running so my family could sleep comfortably. Ultimately we had to replace our 20+ year furnace and Howard was as timely and professional as you could hope for. Howard deserves a raise Fred because he is great.
A breath of fresh air that good customer service still exists and it exists here at Riley Heating and Cooling. When our 16 year old BIG air conditioner died I called and a rep came out the next day. John had already had a busy day but was patient and answered all my questions. He was respectful in my house and even put something over his shoes for my floors! He told me all the options and was frank about potential costs and requested a follow up proposal from the owner, Fred, right while I was standing there.
That proposal with (4 options!) was in my email box that night and my call to Riley the next day (after 2 hours checking out pricing online - which was right in line with other contractors) was met with Fred himself explaining systems and pros and cons for all of his proposal's options.
The new system was installed the next day. They came when they said they would. They were clean and neat and respectful of my home even though it was at least 95 degrees where they were working. They were thorough and made sure we knew how to operate the new thermostat.
We were so impressed. Then 4 days later from RILEY we received the paperwork in the mail for an energy savings rebate from ComED. Riley had filled out all the paperwork so all I had to do was sign and send. Thanks for restoring my faith in Customer Service, RILEY!
Riley Heating and Cooling installed a new AC and furnace in our new home over a year ago. Every Riley professional who has worked on our HVAC system has been wonderful. This week, Don came for regular maintenance and filter replacement. He was courteous, efficient, checked everything, replaced the air filter, disposed of the old an cleaned up the area thoroughly. I have full faith and confidence in Riley and all of its professionals, and would recommend them without hesitation.

Riley Heating & Cooling is the best. My husband and I have purchased three different furnace in less than 20 years they have all had problems. Each of these furances were the top of the line according to the sellers. After the motor went out on this last one, We called another company and was disappointed with the price and warranty. We went to Rileyl. FRED was all business.
Fred told us our possibilities he sent a service man to inspect the problem, told us the bottom line price and all of our options. We accepted the offer and as promised his installers were at our home bright and early the next business day.
The installers were professionals, polite, and well organized. The installers made sure the furnace was operating properly, they made sure the thermostat was setup properly and even showed me how to program the thermostat on my tablet and phone. In other words gave us personal time.
Don't forget Len she was also great and instrumental in helping us complete our loan application.
