This was an absolute nightmare! It took them four visits to fix our problem. My husband and I woke up one morning to to water leaking through our kitchen ceiling from the AC unit. I was excited at first, because S & S said they could get out there the next day. Well, one gentleman came. He did something to try and fix it, but warned me that may not work. He had a back up plan if it did not. I was ok with that. Well, a few hours after he left I noticed it was leaking again. I called the original gentleman and he said he was busy and hung up on me. I then called the main office. I explained very nicely, the first guy was very nice and had been honest. I wasn't calling to complain about him hanging up. He may have been on a ladder or something. She was nice, and got someone else to come out the next day. The guy came out, saw the problem, but said he'd have to come back the next day with more supplies. The next day he came, he still didn't have the right tools. Well, later that night it started leaking really bad, like he had made the situation worse. This was a Friday night. Meanwhile, our dry wall is getting more and more damaged. This was supposed to be a 24/7 service, so we called. No answer or call back!!! Finally, get a text from the tech Saturday morning. He did come out, and at least for now it seems to be fixed. That took four visits and much stress, though! I call Monday to see at least about getting our service call fee refunded, and had mentioned we were disappointed they didn't provide the 24hr service they advertised. After talking with the owners children, I was told we wouldn't get that refunded. The reason was ridiculous. They didn't want to refund it since, because we didn't stress in the first call we were choosing them because they had 24 hr service. Oh yeah, they record your calls without telling you. That is illegal in the state of Illinois. I was also told I called the tech an ahole. I used no such language! I most definitely did not appreciate that attack on my character. I had been super nice and reasonable up to this point. I asked for the owner or the owners children to call me, and I'm still waiting...This was an absolute nightmare. This is probably the most unprofessional company I have ever encountered. We will be filing a small claims case.

I called S&S Heating on a Saturday evening after having a large snow& wind storm. I found that the sheet metal flue for my space heater was damaged. Tom came out within an hour to assess the damage. On Monday morning I was given a call and told they would be out to fix the flue. Tom came and brought with him Marco. Both men were very professional, courteous and friendly. The job was completed in a couple of hours and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend this company to anyone!

S & S Heating is exceptional. They are highly competent, knowledgeable, friendly, on-time -- and ALWAYS figure out what is wrong and needed, every visit. I have used them for 15+ years and will only use them to service my heating system. The technician, Marco, is remarkable, if not brilliant! Tom, the owner, is a gem; he always takes care of any problem, large and small, efficiently and effectively, and goes out of his way to follow-up. I feel they care like family would! I give them 5 our of 5 stars!!!!!

So it was 4 am on June, 23rd and I woke up due to my a/c not working and my home was so hot and humid I could not go back to sleep. I live in Logan Square and looked up HVAC companies near myself. This location was only 5-10 minutes away from me and I noticed their 24 hour emergency service. I called and their dispatcher answered and asked me a few questions and got me an appointment at 8 am in the morning! The technician named Marco was so helpful and explained exactly what was wrong with my condensing unit. He recharged my system and I haven't had a problem since! I'm so happy there are honest companies out here! My friend told me she was charged hundreds for a diagnostic once and I was afraid of the same! They are also doing service at my uncles restaurant, I would definitely recommend.

When I ask a question they either get the answer to me right then or get back to me with the right information.They've helped me with multiple heating and cooling projects and I will continue to use to use them for both personal and business HVAC projects. S&S truly went above and beyond all expectations to help me in a very unique situation. I was selling a home, and discovered within an hour of the buyers' final walk through, that the air conditioning had stopped working. I was in a bind and it was late in the afternoon with the closing scheduled for the next morning. The team at S&S truly came to my rescue, rearranging some scheduling to get a technician on to my location almost immediately to address the situation. The buyers were concerned, but Heather at S&S went above and beyond to provide several documents to the closing attorneys to allow the sale to happen as scheduled. Although the air conditioning problem turned out to be minor, the customer service was huge! I can't thank S&S enough!

It took multiple calls and 2 weeks to get an invoice and recommend work/proposal. Then they wanted $800 just for a cleaning of the coils.

This company outsouces all of there work. Once hired Tom will never show up at the job site to ensure the work is being performed correctly. The only time you will see Tom is to pick up the money. Unfortunetly a job that can be done in one day takes one week.

Fantastic service, got our furnace up and running in less than 2 hours.
Very reasonable rates as well.
Will call them in Spring to have my central AC checked by them.
Will recommend.
