Chas put in a completely new A/C unit for us in 2019. In 2021 A/C was not working. I called and asked them to come look at it. They told me I was setting the temperature too low- at 70 F. They told me the unit was not meant to cool the house to less that 72. I was persistent that there was something wrong. After 3 calls they came out. The coolant was empty and needed to be refilled. Now again in 2022 the A/C is not working. I had another company come inspect. They said there’s a leak in the coolant system so the unit will need to be filled with coolant again. They said they could try to fix the leak but could not guarantee they would be able to repair it and we may need a new unit altogether. I called Chas who told me if we had someone else look at the unit then they should fix it. He told me our unit is no longer under warranty. When I tried to ask more questions he said “I’m done with this” and hung up on me.
I spoke with my neighbors who used to use Chas as well. They said they also used to have to pay for new coolant every year until they hired someone else. They have not had any issues since they switched companies and have not needed to pay for coolant.
Both times I have spoken with a Chas employee, he has been rude, dismissive, explosive and grossly unprofessional.
Please do not use this company.
