    Avoid!!! Warning they are bad and don't know what they are doing. Scam artists. They were sent to us by Choice Home Warranty. They misdiagnosed us as having a dead compressor to sell us a new AC unit. The compressor didn't work because when they replaced a burnt wire they made a mistake and put the wires back on wrong. On top of that they made false claims to Choice Home Warranty that a power surge caused the unit to stop working and that we did not properly maintain the unit trying to void our warranty. They sent Choice Home Warranty pictures of another unit! Unbelievable. Very crooked. You just cannot trust these people. We brought a reputable AC company out and they quickly noticed that they mixed the wires up. The unit is working fine now. Stay away from these people!

    “Simply Amazing!!” After two failed attempts in trying to get my A/C fixed with other companies Hometown Heating and Air definitely restores the comfort in my home. Not only were the HVAC techs knowledgeable and informative, their prices were beyond reasonable and that meant a lot especially in a time like this with this Pandemic we’re dealing with! If you want authentic professional care, outstanding service at a great price this is definitely the company you want to choose.

    Pro: Everone there from the gentleman answering the phone, to the service manager, to the technicians were polite, respectful, and pleasant to speak with.

    Con: There was a complete breakdown in communication. According to the home warranty company my part sat ready for pick up for 10 days then was returned to stock, this company says they were never notified that it was available for pick up, The part had to be reordered and picked up. I was scheduled for repair on my only day off which was Thursday. A technician started texting me that he will be there on Friday. We go back and forth with him telling me it will have to be the following week if I cannot be there Friday. By this time I have slept on my downstairs sofa for over 20 days due to the upstairs bedrooms being without heat or AC. I call the office and am told he is texting the wrong person (even though he was calling me by name) and that I am still scheduled Thursday. I asked for an approximate time (morning, afternoon, evening?). I was told I would be called with an eta before arrival. I never got a call and they showed up while I had run an errand.

    I was set up to use hometown heating and air with my home warranty company. They had a quick response to get out and see me. The gentleman that came out initially was a nice. He gave me two options in repairs and/or replacing our system. We just bought our home less than a month before, so that was a tad stressful. There was a secondary company that came out and installed our new unit. They told me that I needed all brand new duct work even after the first gentleman told me our duct work was perfect. We have one whole vent not blowing anything. They insisted. They even left without putting the roofing tile back to cover the attic crawl space. Within just a couple of weeks it wasn’t acting right. I asked for someone to come back out. They came out and said they needed to do more work at a later time. They insisted again that they would need to do all new duct work. I am irritated at this point. I get several back and forth calls with company that didn’t go anywhere and some where no one called me at all! Finally the supervisor calls me and said he wants to personally come out and see the duct work. This is delayed several weeks due to him being out of town (which is completely understandable with the given time he was going to be gone), but in the mean time I was loaned a portable AC unit. The day he is set to arrive I never hear anything. I finally call 30 mins before the end of my window to be told that he cannot come due to covid testing (which would’ve been fine had I just been called!) which my whole day was spent at home. Thankfully I worked nights and needed to sleep, but the fact is I didn’t get a call. I receive another date and he does show up on time. He says my duct work is all fine except the one that doesn’t blow. Sets me up with a day for someone to come out and install new duct work on it. He tells me we can still keep the portable AC unit at this time. The day before the duct work install I call due to scheduling issues and call to see if they have an earlier window to be told the tech is not coming out and I’ll be called later that day to be told why. I am here 3.5 weeks later (11/11/2020) without being called as to why no one came out, no call to try and reschedule or anything!!! I have to say the lack of communication is what has me so upset! I’m at a point that I want them to come get their unit and air handler out and I’ll use another company!!!!

    From the very first phone call, the staff was very courteous. Ismael was very professional and knowledgeable. He took the extra time to explain the system and gave good recommendations. I would highly recommended them and opted for the bi-annual maintenance.
