    Easily the best AC contractor in. Tampa. I got quotes from 3 different companies for my AC unit and Hometown was without a doubt the most transparent and professional. Ismael made me feel very comfortable about my decision to get a new AC unit and I could not be happier. 5 star company in my book.

    Even though they could've charged me a visit fee then charge me more to actually fix the problem, they instead explained the options ahead of time in detail to help me avoid paying too much and for anything not needed. This is called trust and since very rare in business nowadays, every time a company gives it, it's a company you need to keep on speed-dial :)

    Fraudulent, unprofessional, and practice extortion with their clients.
    After not installing our system correctly, they refused to come out until we left a 5-star review for them....against our better judgement we did... 8 months later and AC STILL isn't running properly, and we FAILED county inspection. They again refused to come out to fix the problem they created and then stated that we will have to pay $200 for not passing inspection (called county and that was false. The company actually pays and it's only $25). They then blamed us for tampering with their system and breaking it on purpose (SERIOUSLY?!? We have screenshots of the messages BTW).

    We have a zone system installed, however, the system they installed was not working as a zone system and would constantly run all zones at all times. When they installed the system, they explained everything was working properly and denied our concerns stating we were wrong. My boyfriend who is an AC tech looked at our zone board and instantly saw that they had wired it incorrectly to not only override all systems, but if needed, our heat would not work. We had the instructions nearby and they were easily found on google so his diagnosis was confirmed. However, this company explained that if anyone besides them touched our system, our warranty would be void, so he didn't touch it. I contacted them and asked for help and they explained they were "contacting experts on our system and that's why it is taking so long". When Tony came out all he did was look at our thermostat and then tell us "your zone board is too old and the instructions can't be found anymore, you need a new one". having known what my boyfriend told me I explained, "you didn't even look at the zone board... and you never asked for the instructions... we have them.." He then went upstairs with the instructions and still didn't know what to do and called coworkers for help. Seeing how quickly my boyfriend who has been in the field for only 2 years found the issue and then watching this "professional that has consulted experts" have to call people for help was pathetic. I then explained I knew the issue and he fixed it.

    That fixed one problem, but our AC is STILL not running properly. Fast forward a little bit, and they have come out and stated there is no issue, yet still haven’t passed inspection. Then COVID-19 happens. Once again, my boyfriend is in AC so I know they are an essential business, but they try to tell us they aren't working. They then stopped all communication and refused to answer all text messages or calls since March. I called from a number they didn't recognize (June 15th), and they quickly picked up the phone.

    I explained the issue and they tried to state that they were only working on emergency no-cools and sick/elderly people until Stage 3 and they have been very busy. First of all, so you're screening who is sick and elderly??? Because my mother has a terminal disease with only one lung that works at 35%.. is that sick enough? For those reading, the OWNER, doesn’t think so. Second, this is false, once again I know many people that work for many different AC companies and not only are they doing all services, but business has been slow for all because people are weary of having them inside their houses. YOU ARE NOT BUSY. YOU JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND DON'T WANT TO ADMIT IT.

    So let me do your job for you once again, our issue is the damper BECAUSE IT WONT CLOSE AND STAYS OPEN... But I'm sure you guys have to consult more experts to figure that out too, right? Experts that have no instructions even though we have the instructions, right? Experts that can't help you solve an issue for 8 months but someone else can diagnose within 30 minutes, right?

    FYI, our system STILL isn't working and they are STILL refusing to come out.

    One of the most unimpressive, untrustworthy, disrespectful, fraudulent, sleazy, slimy companies I'll probably ever deal with. Do yourself a favor and avoid them.

    Stay away. They belong to home warranty services and use them to sell things not needed. The owners will not stand up to service if not corrected within short time of service. I made an appt to come back and the night before at 9:30 pm Ismael called and was one of the owners and was arragont and rude on phone telling me it would cost for another visit when it was 31 days from last visit. He was argumentative and very direspectful to me as a customer. Stay away........

    Via- CHOICE HOME WARRANTY- this is one of the most horrible most unprofessional, disgusting service experience I have ever had. You will not believe this. This guy just left my house. Came in with this unbelievable alpha male, racist overtone. At first he appeared nice while he was outside and waiting for me to open the door, as I had just pulled up, but in minutes the strange and aggressive overtones, and attitude took over as if I was in his home...trespassing.

    Now we're in the house. He said the problem causing my heat to not come on was relative to the programming of the thermostat and I needed to figure out how to set it on my own. This is after he stated the heating temperature was at 90 degrees. I told him although it's heating up now, the problem is that it goes in and out of heat. Told him I had the thermostat for years and never had this issue and asked him before he came in to confirm that thermostat issues are covered, which he did. His response now: "So what do you want me to do, spend the weekend to wait for it to go out?" Whole experience scary and strange as heck. He then wanted to collect the $60 service charge, at which point I started making out going calls so someone could hear what was happening inside the house. I then told him to get the **** out of my house, told him he was racist; maybe he's a woman hater or possibly just an assh****.

    I don't know which it was but NEVER LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE. Oh, and 5 minutes after he left I get a threatening phone call from a strange number, a man identifying me by name and identifying my car saying I hit their car because there is silver paint on their car and that I left my number on his windshield. What? Dummy doesn't realize I am a CEO with a master's degree behind my name and can analyze the probability involved in that call. Hope he knows my security cameras were rolling the whole time - reporting that very strange phone call to my family, the authorities and his office.

    Hometown replaced my Air Conditioning they were so efficient and clean ! The two technicians worked from the moment they pulled up until they left! I couldn’t believe how quick they got things done! I am really pleased with the outcome my ! AC works like a dream!
