Just want to say that Mr Cool Air Conditioning is a top notch company that has resolved issues for us. The owner, Jeff, went out of his way to make us happy and we really appreciate his concern for our comfort and satisfaction. In addition, his tech, guy, Chris, provided excellent maintenance and explained why one of our returns was whistling and why the returns on one side of the house didn't seem to need its filters cleaned (they are there to balance air pressure, not to suck air). Chris was friendly, professional and efficient. He did a great job and we highly recommend this company.

Zachariah is a phenomenal tech. Our A/C stopped working and when we called they had him sent out in just a few hours. Which was crucial seeing as we have a newborn baby at home! He was able to fix our ac unit and had it working in short time and explained that the unit was put together a little wonky but had it fixed quickly! Thanks zach

ORIGINAL POST: Mr Cool installed a brand new Goodman AC for us in April 2019. It has never worked properly. We had someone out regularly to look at it. Over and over again they told us there was nothing wrong with the unit. They have been out at least 4 times in the last 2 months! Every time they were here we asked about our ducts and we were told they were fine. We had a company come to add insulation to the attic and within 5 minutes they showed us pictures of ducts that weren’t even connected to the main line. When we were getting estimates from other companies for new duct work we were told that not only were we sold a unit that’s too big for our house, but the duct system was way too small for the unit we bought.
2 days after a much better company installed our ducts; the ac went out AGAIN! I have wasted so much time and money on this company! I spent hundreds of dollars on so many useless service calls!!
Steer clear of Mr. Cool!!!!

UPDATE: The other company that was here came and found out that Mr. Cool installed the wrong thermostat for our air conditioner and it would never work properly with the thermostat they put in. (This was confirmed by the manufacturer.) When the proper thermostat was put in, we then found out that Mr Cool disabled part of our system to rig it to try work with the thermostat they did put in, AND THEY REMOVED THE COMMUNICATION CHIP FROM MY BRAND NEW AIR CONDITIONER!!!! This chip is specific to our unit! To attempt to correct this complete incompetence; we would have to wait months for the manufacturer to make and program a new chip and new circuit boards for my system. In short they installed it AND IMMEDIATELY BROKE IT!!!! Then for 4 years blamed us for the problems!!!

Now the owner, Jeff Barde has admitted that his company has failed us, but is telling me he isn’t willing to reimburse me for the air conditioner his company broke! SHAMEFUL!

This is the worst customer experience I have ever had to deal with!!! BBB has been contacted.

I was installing a package unit in Cape Coral the other and this people called the city on me stating that we were unlicensed and with white vehicles. First of all we are fully licensed and yes the truck was white but i guess they missed my two vans with signs and license number. Yes the city came but nothing happened because a permit was pulled. You should concentrate in your service that sucks instead being pending of other business. Very unprofessional.

Left two messages for Mr Cool to come out and do a clean and check on the A/C unit they installed. They never returned my call. Really????

Well, I should have asked first. For the replacement of a blower motor under warranty, Mr. Cool charged $650 in total for about 1.5 hrs on jobsite. They did not credit the $110 service call when work was performed. The hourly rate is $150, even for picking up parts and driving around. Additional charges for warranty etc. apply. Cannot recommend, prices are too high.

I just called for a service call yesterday after my AC kept holding at 78 and wouldn't get any colder. After the tech arrived the next day he found my ACs fluid/pressure levels was off. He corrected the fluid/pressure and tested the temperature offset in the air handler in the garage. More or less my ac works and the tech was extremely professional. I did try to push for a new air unit outside a few times and he kept on insisting to do the fluid/pressure, Mr Cool had the opportunity to go big $$$ but choose to NOT screw the customer. Hands down excellent business!

Jake from Mr.Cool helped me out with a filter question, and let me know I have a unique filter size that other hardware stores don’t always carry but they had them in stock! Great attention & professionalism even after hours. Thanks so much - I’ll be back to work with y’all again for sure.
