My very old oil tank (in basement) had to be replaced recently (leak detected) and I dreaded the entire process. Except for one glitch, it went better than I expected. I switched to Hoffman several years ago and it was a smart decision--their prices are competitive and their maintenance services are first-rate.

So far, I have no complaint except the fact that after the boiler furnace maintenance services, the boiler starts noisy like a boom sound. Is there anything that can be done to reduce the boom sound?

This place is the worst company I have ever experienced in my life! They were supposed to give me free service cleaning under my so called contract that I signed and they canceled my appointment the week before my contract was up and the day I had the cleaning to tell me they can’t do it but they would do it after my contract which I would have to pay 300.00 for it by then ! They are the biggest rip offs and the guy that you talk to when you have a problem is even a bigger joke ! I won’t mention names , I called several times and all they do is say they are sorry but there is nothing they can do ! Well t least they admitted they were wrong which was a plus for these people, I have never wrote a bad review about anyone or any company but if I can help 1 person not to go with these people then I will feel good about it !They have no excuse for what they did ! Don’t ever use them !

Have been a Hoffman customer for a LONG time. Two constants throughout, my rep Christina and the techs. I've had offers that might have saved me a nickel a gallon some years but that's no reason to give up a personal relationship and expert service. The techs keep my old furnace at 86+ % efficiency and Christina, well she's just the best.

I rarely leave reviews, however I am compelled. This company is awful. You will have to call every single time for a delivery otherwise you'll be having sludge going through your furnace/boiler. I was left without heat twice and needed to call the emergency service. I then learned quickly I will be the one monitoring my own tank. Disabled, crawling under a crawl space. I told them again this week I am I am less than 1/8. Well, 5 days later still no delivery! So out in the cold I'm pouring diesel in there so my 7 month old grandchild doesn't freeze. I will not be renewing this contract, I will be running as fast as I can away from this company.

Wrong diagnose of the problem causing the overheating of my home which cost 1000s in heating oil, just the perfect situation for Hoffman to make a lot of extra money selling then the overpriced oil to me. Once you're on the contract, it's all about how much they can get you for. Ripoff Company. Never use them or recommend anyone using them.

I HAVE NEVER BE SO DISAPPOINTED WITH A COMPANY AS I AM WITH HOFFMAN.

I used Hoffman to Install propane gas to my house. It wasn't working properly the gas was sputtering out of the stove. I called your company back to fix the job that was fully paid for and your charged me for a service call. I CALLED 4 times in reference to this bill asking to get back to in reference to this matter. They never got back to me, BUT KEPT SENDING ME BILLS.

Yesterday I get home from work and tried to cook dinner and my stove does not work. My husband said maybe we are out of propane.

I call speak to a customer service representative and she states the bill is for OIL, I said OK if it was for oil I have no problem paying the bill, which I did.

I told her can she please schedule a propane delivery. SHE SAID SHE WILL HAVE SOMEONE GET BACK TO ME.

I go outside and check the propane tank, I see it has 60 gallons in it. I then notice it is disconnected.

I call your company and a NASTY girl name Holly Pierson says we disconnected your tank for non payment.

I tell her your company did never resolved my issue with the service call that I should not PAY FOR.
AND your never notified me that you are disconnecting the tank.

She said she sent a letter. Which I just received today, 1 day after the disconnection, and the Letter makes no mention to the fact that they are disconnecting the tank.

It does say that they attempted to contact me. WHICH IS A FALSE STATEMENT. They NEVER contacted me. I called 4 times and asked them to get back to me in reference to my bill.

They are crooks, dishonest and unreliable. I had a service call to install a stove and the tech said a tiny piece was needed. That I should pay for the first visit nearly $200 and he would come back to finish free to charge. We are speaking about a 5 min. visit. I paid and then when he came back the company said they don't care what the tech said and double charged me. I complained and they said they would check it out. 2 months and 4 phone calls later to follow up on no response they TURNED OFF MY GAS for cooking. I found out when couldn't cook dinner. When I called they blackmailed me to pay the wrong bill or won't reconnect. So I double paid for something that was a rip off to begin with. Choose another supplier if you have any choice. They are terrible to deal with. Wish I could give them ZERO stars for their nothing service.
