    The technician Nick was prompt and polite, and even removed his shoes upon entering my home. Performed all of the annual maintenance tasks required for my air conditioning system in a timely manner, and left the house as clean as when he came. Very satisfied with the service received from Hellas Air Temp.

    for years I have been a regular Spring and Fall maintenance customer of Hellas Air . They are always professional and extremely thorough in whatever needs to be done. I wouldn't think of using any other company for my heating and AC system.

    Update 6:17:21pre-paid my HVAC maintenance, today the Hellas tech cleaned my central air outdoor fan. Hosed it down. Added bonus. Somehow they get better and better. Thanks Hellas!

    Update 10/2020: why wouldn’t I call Hellas to service the HVAC system at my new condo? They’re the best. Prompt, on the ball, VERY Covid-conscientious. And reasonable cost. They even dispose of the old air filter.

    Called Hellas after 5 for emergency “furnace not working” situation. Not good in February! They sent one of their best guys over very promptly. Furnace fixed in 5 minutes flat. Lucky for me in several ways: service was prompt and knowledgeable, cost very reasonable, fix was made on the spot. And I’m happy to support a family run local business. Their customer care is felt from start to finish. Glad to have them in my corner.

    I spent over #200 hundred for an emergency call during a call snap and got nothing! They couldn't fix my furnace. I spent the next 3 days in the cold with no heat. Then they charged me an emergency fee to come out again after several days with no heat! When they were her 3 weeks earlier and said everything was OK. What a racket! What a scam! I would give no stars but Google won't let me!

    I have asked repeatedly for an itemized invoice for some expensive work done recently – the work was done quickly but I have called 3 times now for an itemized bill that shows how much the part cost, item/serial for manufacturers’ warranty and have been told that it would be provided. Today I’m now told if I wanted an itemized bill I really should have asked for that before having the work done. Then I’m told that it sounds like I’m accusing them of something – I’m not but I now question whether I got screwed or not especially since the office manager got so defensive at what I felt was a reasonable request.– But how will I even know if I was priced fairly or not without an itemized invoice? I’m real reluctant to use them again, although they installed my unit and have performed maintenance in the past. My suggestion: Get an itemized quote prior to allowing them to perform any work – do not accept a general quote. Then look into competitor pricing to ensure you are not being taken advantage of.

    Great company with excellent communication. Their employees are professional, polite, on-time and generally a nice group of people which is lot more than I could say for other companies in the area. You cannot go wrong with Hellas Air they’re the only company I’ll use from this point forward.

    Overpriced, and short term solution, had to replace the whole system after the expensive and temporary fix.

    Had a refrigerant leak in the AC condenser, paid almost $2,000 to fill the freon. It worked less than 1 months. Now the refrigerant (R22) is empty and I have to replace the whole condenser. if i knew this would happen, I would not pay the initial temporary fix and replace the machine instead.

    For the record, they charge me the R22 freon $175/lbs, later we check the price with another contractor and they charge $125 /lbs (30% lower).

    If you have John come to your house you'll do good. I've had others who have come to the house who I would call incompetent at the best. I have a heat pump (not recommended for this area!) and for three seasons had exorbitant electric bills due to their inability to solve a problem. My electric should typically be $250-$300 in the dead of winter. Inability to solve problem the first time resulted in me having to pay considerably more in electric bill which of course I was stuck paying. I now have a disputed invoice for several visits because a new system shorted out.

    I was told by one person @ Hellas I did not have to pay the bill and it would be removed. I got billed the following month and they said I had to pay it. Customer service is horrible. I am in the process of getting another company. Hellas has cost me thousands in increased utility bills.
