    Only went with because AHS called them out and once you are doing a service call AHS doesn't want to switch providers. Watch your back, they like to try and pull fast ones on their customers. Tried to charge us $400 for a new AC stand, then charged us but used the old stand. When we called them on it they said they would refund us $200. So $200 for nothing? When the city inspector came out he found other issues that needed to be corrected too because they used other old parts from the old AC unit they were replacing. Save yourself the trouble and use a company that isn't crooked.

    Great office & service staff, always helpful & polite. Work for company that manages commercial buildings that Starace has service contracts on. Service calls are done usually the same day and emergencies right away. I recommended this company for and A/C & Heater needs

    Wonderfull people to work with. Their service installing my new unit was very good. Everything was explained regarding my old units issues. Installers explained my new unit. Office staff is great to work with.

    Had them come by my house 3 times in a month and a half. Their technicians seem to have a lack of knowledge and training especially when it comes to trouble shooting. Their technician said my motor was seized so he wanted to charge me 700$ to replace and he never checked the run cap (capacitor ). After consulting with another local company and doing my owname research it says to start with capacitor then move on with trouble shooting from there.so I replaced it and put everything back together and it fired right up. This company does its best to sell you a new unit or charge you for a job that is unnecessary when all I needed was a 16$ part. Be careful if you decide to use them!

    They claimed American Home Shield required a second opinion, when I contacted AHS they did not show any record of requesting second opinion in their system. It took me a number of times to contact the person who makes the appointments because when I would call she would be out or at lunch and I would be asked to call back. When I did contact the one person who can make appointments it was more important for her to insure she is always there and never received a message from me and then inform me she closed out my repair and I would have to call AHS to reopen it. When I called AHS the first time they put me on hold and called Starace to inform them to resubmit the authorization request. The person who makes the appointments said they never talked to anyone from AHS.
    I don't think this office staff is showing very good customer service or professionalism and due to the lack of cross training no one can cover for the other people in the office so things most likely are getting crossed up there and not at AHS who documents every call.
    The repair people who came out and worked on the equipment were very nice, professional and knew exactly what was wrong. To bad they don't have the office staff to back them up.

    This company deserves zero stars, and should have their license revoked! They're a bunch of crooks! They tried to rob me of $3,000 dollars, claiming I needed like 50 things replaced and a new unit and so on, when I knew very well that my unit was just fine. The funny thing is their contractor that came out to my home said only 1 small part needed to be replaced but couldn't do it till he got it approved 🤷🏻‍♀️. So I said ok, well 3 weeks later the receptionist or whoever she is called to tell me all these false claims about what needed to be done, and I told her what their contractor said, and she said no he's wrong, it's all this.. so then they kept sending different emails claiming it was all these other things and could never get their story straight. I got a second opinion and the other company came out the same day and replaced the part and was done in about 20 minutes.. I was just baffled that a company would treat a customer like that! Try and rob them of so much money!! Please save your time and money, go with someone else.

    I would like to say thank you !! Got home from work my A/C was out ..(wow ) called every A/C in town Starace Mechanical came to my rescue and did a temporary fix so i would not have heat stroke in this valley or spend money on a room and was there in under 30 minutes ...was very impressed . they game me long term option to my 17 year old A/C unit which is running very smooth now ... again thank you !!

    CAUTION this company will try to rob you blind they were sent out by my home warranty to fix my a/c they reported it needed to be replaced which was true then I got a quote on out of pocket expenses for $1,875 contacted my warranty company and they explained what's not covered then contacted a/c company for a explanation of the $1,875 that they wanted me to pay they refused to give me a break down of the work that was being done only saying return modification,drain line,breaker etc before anyone would fork out $1,875 for a repair I'm sure they would want to know what is being done I called back two weeks straight and got nothing but the billing secretary who thinks she knows what she's talking about when it comes to installs she still refused to put me in touch with someone else in the office and tell me what was being done sad part about it is the tech who came to my house never even looked at my return set foot in my house to measure or anything and I explained to her this how can someone give a quote without even looking over the equipment SAD all I can say is if your a customer with no knowledge in air conditioning then watch out point to mention I am a certified universal tech That's held a hvac-r license for over 10 years once I pointed that out to her they stopped taking my calls all together.

    They did 1200 $ of work , didn’t work , came back put new thermostat, rewired the mother board , said it needed to be replaced, I called another company they fixed the wires , put a new thermostat because the previous one was wired wrong , now everything works good, Starsce told me I needed a new unit , they even gave me a estimate , be cautious if you use them
