Ongaro & Sons

I lost power to the bedrooms and bathrooms in my home and needed an electrician to come take a look. I called Ongaro and Sons and they quickly fit me into their schedule. The friendly technician, Chris, found and fixed the problem with ease. Since I have an older home, he explained the current issues with my electrical panel and offered options to consider in the future. He did a wonderful job of really explaining my options so I fully understand what my choices entail going forward.

I'm impressed with his service and will be calling Ongaro and Sons for future home maintenance needs.

Nathan Dupre did an excellent job explaining the challenges of our dated electrical system and the options for upgrading it. He promptly provided the written estimates. Smart guy! We appreciated knowing that Ongaro is a family owned and run company. Thanks.

Ongaro just installed a new furnace for me,Dylan & Daniel were the installer team, boy what a pair. They worked continuously from 8am until they finished at about 1:30. What fine workmanship, didn't stop until the job was done, beautiful job. If I have another job I would ask for them personally. Also cleaned up all their mess, everything was neat and tidy, so happy to have them as my workers.

Ongaro & Sons can't even show up to their appointments so I can't imagine trusting them to actually install something. I made an appointment with them for an estimate on replacing my furnace and wall heaters with a heat pump system. This is a large job that will cost $40-50K, so I assumed they'd be eager to win the bid from their competitors who have already been out to give me a quote.

They gave me a 2 hour window for when they'd show up. Halfway through, they called me and said that their technician was running late and would be there 30 minutes after the scheduled window. This didn't work for me so we rescheduled for the next day. On the following day, with 20 minutes left in my 2 hour window they called me and said that their technician was running late and would be there after the arranged window again.

I wanted to get a bid from Ongaro & Sons because they are among the highly rated HVAC companies in the Santa Rosa area. This was the last bid I was planning to get, and the other highly rated companies in the area that have already been out arrived promptly, seemed genuinely interested in doing the work and communicated with me promptly. Given that Ongaro & Sons won't even show up on time, I will be going with their competitors who put in the basic work to just show up.

Chris Campbell arrived promptly, explained my options and completed the work in the same day. Great experience though the company is very expensive at $1,580 for 6 hrs of work and not much in material.

Chris Campbell was outstanding in providing me with electrical solutions to installing an electric hot water heater. We thinks "outside the box".

Ongaro and Sons was disingenuous and lied on the phone. When I called to cancel appointment, they said they would waive the $88 initial consultation fee. Then when I got the bill of course the $88 fee was on there. I called them multiple times to inform them of this and still, they refuse to honor their initial claim. Their price for basic electrical services was easily $100 more than a half a dozen other electricians I had consulted with, poor customer service. Unwilling to listen to the customer and false claims that they would not adhere to. stay away from them, dishonest and difficult to deal with.

This review is a little late, but I wanted to thank Mike Wolfe! He provided excellent service, and made sure that we were taken care of. He worked quickly and efficiently. He was very professional. Thank you, Mike so much!

Great employees, price are astronomical however. $600 to install a faucet is insane. Found another company to do it for $180. This company will GOUGE you
