HVAC Gurus

We got our 12+ year AC unit and furnace replaced by Hvac gurus. Simon and team were excellent going through the entire process, was competitive with the rates, handled all things professionally giving choices and quality service was provided. Over the years we also asked them to triage different issues and they also did a great job with it.

We've worked with the Gurus before, and so were not surprised with the highest quality work at a very good price when they replaced a number of our ducts. Hoy and his colleague Gilbert were the consummate professionals. They were flexible as new needs arose during the project, and got it done right. We could not be happier.

I called and set a tech appointment for the next day. Somehow they didn't get it on the schedule, so I traveled to my rental for no reason. Rescheduled. The HVAC tech came this time, put on the gauges. There was no pressure in the system.
He charged me $89 to tell me he would charge me $500 for each pound of R22 (5lbs total) and $800 for a leak test. $3300 total not including any unforeseen repairs or $8K for a new condenser and evaporator.
My system is a 1996 Trane in fine condition. No rust, not faded & sturdy. They don't build them like that any more.
I bought 10lbs of R22 for $450, a yellowjacket manifold and a set of hoses. I had the thing blowing cold in a few hours.

HVAC Gurus came recommended from Attic Pros. We needed a new furnace (old one was from the 1950s). Lior (Leo) Zeevi, one of the owners, conducted the onsite visit at our home. He was friendly, honest, and walked me through all the options (furnace, smart thermostat, install options, etc.). The following week, their technician Eric Capella arrived to install the furnace (Carrier 59TP6B with 96 efficiency rating) and Ecobee smart thermostat. Eric was respectful, professional, and helped explain all the items he was installing. We're so happy we chose HVAC Gurus and would definitely recommend them to friends, family, and neighbors. HVAC Gurus did a very good job replacing my heating furnaces and AC units. I very much appreciate:

1- Simon and Ron: the sales guys: very professional, competent, polite and not pushy.

2- Liz and Elizabeth: the office team: exceptionally helpful and professional.

3- Luther and Jose: the installation team: really impressive. Gave the correct info, did not skip steps, professional and on time.

Of course I will wait to see if there are future problems but so far, I highly recommend HVAC Gurus.

I so the Gurus trucks several times on the road and contact them regarding hoax system upgrade, Simon came to take a look on my previous system and start exploring what will be the best option for me after long discussion what we looking to have. Simon and co did an amazing job upgrading our HVAC and attic insulation.
Our electricity bills were around $400 a month and with the new efficient systems gone down to $120!
They sized up the house pretty well and did not ask us to put in a larger unit unlike other places. The air tight sealing and insulation did make a big difference in our quality of life.
They were always on time and Simon made sure the communication was very clear :+1
For any questions and minor nits Simon also made sure that he came over on a Saturday morning to make sure we had peace of mind :+1

Simon did an awesome job. He came in, checked few things, started explaining and repaired the unit. No BS/Sales work. He also showed me how to do simple maintenance to keep AC efficient. I highly recommend him for your HVAC work. Without him, I would have easily spend few thousand to replace my AC unit. I highly recommend him for your HVAC needs.

Insulation Service: I called HVAC again regarding insulation to my nursery and Ron came and solved my issue within minutes! After discovering that it was the duct and adjusting the dampers I didn't need to insulate the room and saved me thousands of $$$. I'm so grateful for HVAC gurus and their honest service!

Maintenance Service: Friendly and professional service! Simon and his team are punctual and are highly knowledgeable with HVAC service. They completed our attic insulation in a timely manner are honest and trustworthy. Would highly recommend for your HVAC needs!

We knew that we needed some significant duct repair, living up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Not only was the estimator (Simon) punctual, friendly, and complete in his inspection, but we didn’t have to wait for a clear estimate. The work team, Jose, Michael, Derek and Joel, came when we asked (we’re late risers), and worked together, careful to discuss what they were doing. Simon returned a second day, finished some needed work, and took extra time to make sure all of our vents were working properly.
