We moved to San Diego in 1998. A local recommended Ideal when we needed a plumber and we have been using them every since. We trust them to do a great job. They just completed a repipe job for us and I want to thank and commend Albert, Aaron, Jake, and Pete for their fine work. Their attitudes and efforts reflect extremely well on Ideal's standards. My furnace went out yesterday. Brian the tech was awesome!! He cleaned it out and fixed everything from the beginning ,step by step. He worked so fast it only took an hour. He was on time, courteous and very social!! We’re both from Massachusetts!! Thanks Brian! I would highly recommend Ideal and have become a loyal customer!!

My husband and I are an elderly couple and our air conditioner broke during the latest heat wave. I called Ideal because they had installed the unit many years ago. I was at first told that due to the heat, we could not be scheduled for a service call for a week but was offered the chance to move up if a cancelation occurred. The next day I got a call offering an appointment for the following day, which I happily accepted. Rene' was the service tech that arrived. He was WONDERFUL! He spent about 30 minutes checking and explaining to us what he found and attempting to fix the problem. Unfortunately, he was unable to repair the unit and we need a replacement but it was not for lack of trying on Rene's part. Kudos to his hard work. It's cooler now while we wait for our new air conditioner installation, but Ideal has gone above and beyond during this difficult time.

Since becoming a San Diego home owner in 1971, we have used Ideal as my plumbing service support company. Ideal, then, was working across the street on Waring Avenue under Don's father's management. We have since moved to a second home; but, still use Ideal for all of our plumbing needs. Their crews are and have been highly effective and use the best replacement hardware and practices that have always been installed with meticulous care and thoroughness. My wife and I would not think of using any other plumbing service provider for even the most complex service repair or even the most routine upkeep service. Yes, the best plumbing support sometimes requires premium pricing; however, their long term fully warranted successful results prove the worth of their efforts. Our more than 40 years of experience cannot be easily overlooked. Completely clean and reliable results speak to their success. We classify their support personnel as true professionals and all have been gentlemen that we can fully trust with our finest fixtures and surroundings. After their departure, the only sign of their work is beautifully installed shiny new parts that operate flawlessly.

Last night our heater died, and this morning, also cold, we were anxious to get it fixed. By good luck we were referred to Ideal Plumbing, a company which serviced our brand of gas-fired heater. A competent technician, Jose Gomez, arrived at our door in less than an hour. He was quick, thorough, and cheerful as he went through his analysis and repairs. And the cost of the labor and materials was reasonable. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Ideal is the best. In 2008 they installed my air conditioning system. Every 6 months or so I have them do a routine check on the heater and the air conditioning unit. They are very thorough, all the technicians are fabulous. Ideal routinely services and maintain my mom's A/c / heater unit as well.

Wonderful experience. I like that they do follow code so that you won't have problems later from the city. They do quality work and deal with all the paperwork dealing with codes, asbestos and rebates. The workers are very friendly, personable and will explain things. They clean up after themselves and don't leave things lying around which is wonderful for my mother who is limited in mobility. Very respectful of her needs. The office staff and scheduling department are very friendly as well. They keep communication open if there is a change. I will be using them again and have been doing so for years both in AC/H and in plumbing.

I experienced a problem with my water heater. I called Ideal and Joel was heat in 1 hour. Joel immediately diagnosed the problem and set about to resolve it.

Joel made correct recommendations and arranged to return the next day within a 2 hour window with the necessary parts for my aging water heater.

I received a call from Ideal 30 min prior to start of window and Joel was at my door at the start of the window.

Joel was extremely kind- courteous and helpful to a person with minimal mechanical abilities.

I would highly recommend Ideal Plumbing for all of your needs and I would definitely ask for Joel specifically.

I’m extremely pleased with the service that I’ve received from the technicians at Ideal. Phil Beaver was very knowledgeable about the heater/blower settings on my unit. I explained what was happening when the unit engaged and how I had both hot and cold spots in the house. The air didn’t seem to be mixing like it should. He adjusted the settings and explained what he had done and why he did it. What a difference in performance. It’s really working great now. I don’t even know when it’s on. Cudos to Phil and Ideal Plumbing!

Ideal Plumbing responded to my service request promptly. Joel arrived on time, and proceeded with complete professionalism. He willing explained the work needed to be done to repair the problem. I appreciate the expertise that Joel brought to the job and will definitely call upon Ideal again.
