A Cool Air, Inc.

Overall quite pleased with an HVAC gas system swap out A Cool Air performed at our residence. Their bid was more than $2,500 less than bids from two bigger Sacramento area contractors. While we felt a bit less reassured going with a smaller contractor that doesn't have a BBB rating, their Yelp ratings were excellent. Prior to accepting their bid, the owner came by and did a thorough evaluation, even examining duct work in the attic - and determining one section of ducting was pushed down and needed to be repaired - at no increase to the bid. I believe this could have been overlooked without any problem - an indicator of honesty on the part of A Cool Air.

The installers were thorough and professional.

A few minor items of concern, repeat - minor. The installers didn't inform us in advance of the following:
• One worker came into all rooms having vents to remove them to re-tape connections to ducts. Vacuuming was done to clean up beneath each vent but was not thorough
• Smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector went off several times when a worker tested them
• Very strong smelling urethane type glue suddenly permeated some rooms during installation of furnace and condenser; dissipated fairly quickly

The city inspector came a few days after installation. She found no problems and remarked that the work was done professionally.

This system qualified for a SMUD efficiency rebate. A Cool Air filled out the rebate form (the contractor is required to do so) and even addressed and stamped the envelope to send.

I would give this a specific rating of 4.7 out of 5. Huge amount of money saved. A Cool Air is highly recommended!

Had A Cool Air remove an existing 20+ yr old HVAC and install a new rooftop HVAC. Happy with the results. They offer competitive pricing and were very responsive and professional. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

I found A Cool Air on Yelp and contacted them because I wanted to move a vent in my ceiling. Vasiliy was quick to respond via email, and we set up an appointment for someone to come out and evaluate the situation and provide a quote. The person who came out for the evaluation (Roman) ended up being the same person who did the work once we decided to proceed. (It only makes sense that the same person would do the work, but you'd be surprised how little logic plays into some people's decisions.) Roman was very knowledgeable and friendly. His work was effective, and he cleaned up the work area afterwards. He did an excellent job, and we will definitely call A Cool Air the next time we need some HVAC work done.

Peter and his crew are great to work with. The work done at my house exceeded my expectations. They did proper repairs and also educated me on some of the technicalities of my heating/cooling system. Highly recommend.

Hired them to service the A/C for my rental. The technician was very honest, he told me that the A/C was fine and that the problem was a user programming error.

Vasyl was great, helped locate outside unit as I live in a condo. After that it only took him a few min to locate the issue and repair. Also gave me a few tips on what to look for when it's not working correctly.
