This company was hired by my parents home owners insurance to put a new AC unit on their home. The guys were over a hour late and didn't call my parents to let them know they were running late. I feel that is bad customer service but then they were finally on their way they messaged my mom they were on their way. The guy wasn't rude but he wasn't overly friendly - then again its so crazy hot that I guess I wouldn't be super happy either.

My AC blower quit working and I called American Home Shield to schedule a HVAC contractor to come out to my house. The HVAC contractor, Energy Smart, sent a technician (Randy) over to diagnose and repair the problem. He quickly diagnosed that the circuit board containing the relays (for the fan motor) needed to be replaced and a new one had to be ordered. Once they had the new part, I scheduled an appointment for the installation. The technician (Frank) came over (on time) and quickly installed the new circuit board. My AC now works again blowing cold air on these hot days! Thanks to both Randy and Frank whom I thought were knowledgeable, friendly and courteous.

0 stars as I called them on August 3 and today is the 14th and my AC is still not fixed. How can you say your a great company when you can't do your job right. My warranty is still waiting for the report so they can send out another company that actually knows what they are doing.

I would NOT recommend this company for AC replacement. I have been patient and have called several times a day for 5 days trying to get them do complete there notes so my Home Warranty company can move forward. Apparently I’m asking for to much! I am told repeatedly that the notes will be done and everyday they are not! I have a Great Dane who is suffering terribly being in a hotel because we had to vacate the home with high temp in the 104-107 range. We almost lost her! Pleading with Energy Smart begging them to complete there work and let’s get an order in for a new AC has not helped. If you don’t want this to be your Situation then I would not work with Energy Smart Engineering Inc! Trust me, I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemies.

I wish I could give ZERO stars, but it isn't allowed. Frank from Energy Smart came to my home after I filed a claim with AHS when my furnace quit working. Frank spent about 20 minutes in the attic before telling me that the entire unit needed replaced. He showed me blurry pictures on his phone of rust and cracks on/in the unit. He said the office would call me the next morning. Ten days later.... I get a call from AHS saying that our out of pocket expense for this repair would be $1900. I asked for a list and prices of what exactly I would be paying for. One of the items was the cost to "pull the permit" for $400. Since I know nothing about HVAC, I decided to start with the basics and googled the cost to pull said permit. I contacted a department in the city of Sacramento and was quoted a price of $220 to pull the needed permit. Now , I work too hard for my money to just write someone a check for $1900 - especially since the first item I looked into - the permit - I was being overcharged for. I asked around and a family friend who runs his own HVAC company in Stockton said he would come down and look at the unit. After completely inspecting the unit, he said there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. There was no rust, there were no cracks, and he said that it was obvious that no one had even opened the unit up. He informed me that sometimes, especially after a unit has sat for long periods of time without being ran (mine hadn't been turned on for 8-9 months) - that you have to manually reset the ignition switches. He did this - and the unit turned on no problems and we have had no problems with it since. Aside from this review, I will be contacting AHS (who needs to know what kind of people they are contracted with).

Frank from Energy Smart was the third company we tried for a bad thermostat. He was on time, professional, and personable. Fixed right with ease!!! I’ll never use 3 n 1 or standlee again. Call energy Smart the first time!!!

Randy energy smart service technician is an outstanding and patience individual who takes pride in his work and is very knowledgeable of his trade as an AC Service Technician, answered all my questions in a professional manner, he is an asset to his company Energy Smart, and it was a great experience and a pleasure to have this technician come to my home and repair the problems I was having with my AC. Came out next day and diagnosed my ac problem fairly fast (worn out fan motor). Replaced motor now my AC system working fine. Tim & crew did a good job.

It is more than i expected it is the best I ever have .. timing and professional response and service don’t forget the reasonable charges ( I save $2000 less than the others ). Trust me they did exactly what I need . I recommend them for everyone .

We had Energy Smart out today to work on our air conditioner the technician Ramiro did an excellent excellent job with great customer service we were very very satisfied with his excellent handling of the situation and the service that he provided
