Contacted Richard's after getting the run-around from a previous company for an AC install. Rick, the owner, came out and didn't give me a song and dance about numerous units that I could go with. Instead, gave me information on what would work best for our home. Scheduled an install within a few days and even beat the price of various other companies that I contacted. Very professional and easy to work with.
I just moved to Green Bay a short time ago. I bought my house. It had a home warranty included with the purchase. I had issues with my furnace and the warranty company sent out Richards Heating and Cooling. The lady at Richards was so wonderful on the phone!!! The tech came first thing the next morning and had my furnace fixed up the same day! I was very pleased with the customer service and how quickly they fixed the problem!!
Richard's Heating & Cooling has been our go-to contact since we moved into our home 20 years ago. They are reliable, personable, and quick to respond to any need. It's a great feeling to know you can turn to a company that you can trust.
Very unprofessional. Through my home warranty company I was connected with Richard's Heating and Cooling---it took almost a full week for them to come out and diagnosis the problem. Then it took four business days after their visit for them to even order the part that was needed. 5 business days after ordering the part and I'm still waiting. They have no clue as to the part's arrival date (because tracking numbers don't exist?) Also was told by Sandy this morning that she would call me when it arrived and not to call back to ask again. (I've called twice) I'm a severe allergy and asthma sufferer (so no open windows for me unless I want to survive on benadryl and nebulizer treatments) No air conditioning for over 16 days now and I'm not a happy customer.
The technicians who worked on our ac spent lots of time, explained everything they did and were successful in getting our unit to work properly. The cost was reasonable and I will call them again when I have a heating or cooling issue.
Rick has done numerous projects at our house. New duct work and furnace/ac and installing a boiler when we had radiant heat. Rick, the owner, is a super stand up guy and the crew were friendly, fast and carefully explained everything to us. We will always give Richard's our business.
Service is okay while they are installing your furnace, but once the job is complete and they receive their money customer service is nonexistent. When calling to report a problem, you are treated as if you are pestering them.
In addition, the employees performing the work/repairs are not certified technicians. It appears that one is certified (Richard himself) and all the other installers/repairmen are just trained employees. "The guys", as Richards refers to them, are sent out to diagnose problems and do repairs. It would be nice to actually have the trained technician show up just once.
Richards has been both a frustrating and insulting business to work with.
