Nick from Norco was on-time and worked hard to resolve a weird intermittent issue with our Lennox furnace. After a call to Lennox, who suggested he "try a replacement controller board", Nick got a price for the replacement board from the local parts house ("Really? I am paying for a new laptop??!!!") so I decided to order one myself for 1/4 the price, but Nick and Norco were great. Definitely be using them in the future.
The speed at which they fixed my nearly antique Carrier 8000 was impressive, I had done a web search for a gas valve and come up empty, their tech located one in 5 minutes and had it overnighted out of Chicago. Very professional, on time, very quick.
My heat pump was pumping hot air instead of cold air and it was 90 degrees outside which made it very warm inside my house!! I called 4 companies and only 2 called back and only Daniel at Norco was patient enough to help me trouble shoot the problem after hours! I am so thankful for their knowledge, timeliness and ability to fix my problem! Daniel is a rockstar and we are chilling down here at home now! I would highly recommend Norco for all your heating and AC needs!!! Natalie
Deven, came to fix our AC unit. He gave us attitude about the air filter and told me there was nothing wrong with the unit or furnace. I asked questions about what else could be an issues. He was reluctant to answer my question with quality customer service.. I continued to ask questions about every possible issue it could be because there was still a 15-20degree difference in temperature from the font of the house to the back. He continued to be reluctant about answering questions until we asked him to check the attic in where he found 3 lines that had been disconnected. To think he was going to just tell us that it was our air filter is really disappointing and that we consistently had to ask questions and check all other areas is not great customer service.. he should have checked everything possible beforehand, and not given attitude when we asked him more questions. This is what you get paid to do. Do your job the right way the first time.
He did admit he was wrong and apologized which is the only reason I valued the service at 3 stars.
Last week my central air quit working. I called three different companies for a service call. Two of them were a month out and the service call fees were $99 and $100 plus tax. Norco quoted me three days out and $69.00 for the service call. Daniel called me same day and was out to my house within a few hours. He replaced my capacitor in a few minutes and had it up and running. Well this week with the hot af weather, my ac has been over taxed. It’s not working properly (we haven’t had it serviced in two years, our fault) so I called Norco again. Daniel again called me same day and got me on the schedule. He is also going to set me up on a yearly maintenance schedule which will give me 15% off parts and no service call charge. I’m very impressed with this company’s service and Daniel has been especially patient and great to work with. I highly recommend them.
We are very satisfied with our service from Norco! They installed a new gas furnace, new A/C unit, and a new smart thermostat for us. Their estimate was very competitive, and they even included removing the old gas tank as part of their estimate rather than charging us an extra $1000-1500 that some other companies were going to do. The team that installed everything was very efficient and extremely polite and professional. I don't think they realized how much sound travels through our air ducts, so I could hear them pretty well when I was in the baby's room and they were working in the utility room below me, but even then they were very polite and professional with each other. They did it all in two days and did a very thorough job cleaning up after they were done. They also took care of all the paperwork for the Avista rebates and the registration for the extended warranty with Lennox, so we didn't have to do a thing besides sign our contract with Norco and pay them. We would definitely recommend them!
Had five quotes from various companies, and chose Norco as our AC installer, mainly based on a family member's recommendation. They were easy to work with, scheduled me in quickly (I know they're really busy with the hot spring we've had) and everyone I came in contact with acted very professionally. The two installers that came were the quietest I've ever had for home repairs and were quite efficient. Thrilled to have a new AC up and running, and happy to recommend Norco to others.
First off, we called for service and was quoted a price. When they got there, we were told it would be another $159 because of our type of furnace. Also a trip charge was added when I specifically spoke to the person who answers the phone about this and it was agreed a trip charge would NOT be added. (Price gouging at its finest) So $350 to tell us we need a new furnace and AC with no options of repairs. Used scare tactics with what was going on with furnace which was NOT confirmed by a second opinion.
Update: Got second opinion, which did not corroborate Norco. Also, called Avista who came out and checked furnace and CO2, with a reading of 7, way below CO2 standards.
$180.00 for ten minutes of the Service Tech's on site time.
Problem: Our A/C is not blowing cold air. We had the refrigerant filled last year, so we assume there is a leak. We were the ones to discover/bring this up.
The Tech checked out our A/C and air system and concluded that he should try refrigerant with some sort of dye to figure out where the leak is. Did he have this dye on hand? No...
So, we had to wait 2 weeks for someone to be available to come out just to schedule a second appointment for something as simple as a refrigerant refill... also, refrigerant costs $500... would they charge us an additional $180.00 again just for having to come out again? Who knows... we canceled the second appointment.
We feel a bit gouged as we were not told there was a near $200 fee to just have someone come out and tell us what we already knew and didn't have the resolution on hand.... (dye).
The pros: The tech was super professional and kind. He waited 20-30 minutes for my husband to get home because he was held up at work. The tech was accommodating that way. He deserves a 5 star.
Customer service was overall great, but we just feel like we paid a lot for a whole lot of nothing.
I've been using Norco for several years for maintenance on my ancient furnace and central A/C. While the equipment was old, they managed to keep it running as good as possible. Other companies had immediately tried to sell me new systems rather than work on my old furnace - even though there was nothing wrong with it except for being old. So when I decided it was finally time to replace them, there was no one else I would even consider calling. I have an old house and upgrades are always a challenge. The installers did a great job. They kept their spirits up, even though it took them longer than planned due to the uniqueness of my house. If you're looking for a trusted company for your HVAC needs, look no further than Norco.
