I contacted Sam directly at I-HVAC to request service on one of the two units in my colonial house in Reston, VA that was not properly cooling the house. He visited on the very next morning (6/2/2022) after contacting him for a service request. He quickly diagnosed several issues and the root cause issue of the A/C unit. He had the parts (capacitor) in his service vehicle. The house was cooling again within an hour of his visit. He also provided excellent recommendations to prevent problems in the future including good sources for replacement filters.

This is a long review because I want to lay out all the facts so the readers can see that I-HVAC Solutions is a dedicated team of HONEST PROFESSIONAL TRADESMEN!! We contacted I-HVAC solutions right before they closed because our AC compressor had failed. I was very thankful when Sam was able to make it onsite the next morning right on time and quickly identified where the refrigerant had leaked. Sam thoroughly explained to me the situation and gave me a fair quote to repair the leak and recharge the refrigerant the next morning. I was hoping to have the repair done same day since temperatures were going to be into the 90s the next day. Sam contacted us a couple of hours later explaining they had picked up the parts that were needed for the repair and Luis could be at our house early afternoon. When I arrived Luis was already on site starting the repair. Luis introduced himself to me and took the time to run thru the plan to complete the repair. Luis finished the repair to the AC compressor and recharged the system. Sam came back by to check on progress and monitor the startup of the system. When the system started it didn't sound right and Sam immediately identified there was another issue with the valve staying shut at the coil inside the air handler. Once again Sam took the time to explain to me what the part did, why it could have failed and gave me a more then fair price to perform a more intensive repair at the air handler up in the attic. At this point in the day it was about 330PM. Sam said pending the part availability they could be back at 800AM the following morning. Again to my surprise they were able to source the part and were back on site by 515PM to complete the repair in the attic. Luis diligently worked well into the night but kept us informed of the progress. Once completed I was impressed with his attention to detail while recharging the system making sure the pressures were precisely were they needed to be. When we started the AC and set the thermostat for 50 degrees I was shocked to see the air temperature drop as low as 48.6 coming out the vents. That is best I have seen for this 11-year old Payne system. I-HVAC has earned a customer for life and for the 1st time in my life I know of a HVAC company I am proud to recommend to friends and family.

Extremely professional, personable, hard-working and thorough. Would not leave until everything was working perfectly and to his satisfaction. Sam and his team recently installed a new HVAC unit in our home after our 20 year old unit finally broke down. The entire process was smooth. From the moment I called for a diagnostic, I knew we were in good hands. Sam was honest with us, he had answers to all our questions and even went out of his way to get us a unit significantly improved our airflow on our top level. I highly recommend Sam and his team for any HVAC needs.
I have a dual-air conditioning system on my house and my freon is obsolete this year. I decided I needed to replace both of my units before they failed. Sam was recommended to me by a family member, and his service was professional, informed, and honest.

He said it is working fine, providing good air flow, keeping the house cool, and there was no need to buy a new system yet. Trust me, not all companies do this. Not with single women, especially. They take advantage (or at least try). At this moment, Sam had my business.
He went upstairs and examined the upstairs system and it was considerably warmer upstairs. He indicated that it needed to be changed. He provide me good-better estimates (I went with better). By Friday, I had a new system. They came in, protected my carpet, and asked me to stay out of the way. I complied. About 5 or 6 hours later, he finished. He also took care of some additional more minor issues and didn't up-charge me or change the cost.
I HIGHLY recommend I-HVAC for honest, quality, informed service. Every day and twice on Sunday.
We had a fantastic experience with Sam. He was super responsive and flexible—we were on his route and he offered to do a same day service. (!!!) He is straightforward and honest and he takes the time to explain what he’s doing as he does it. He communicates clearly and frankly, which I sincerely appreciate. He didn’t try to up-sell us; he gave us a few different options to repair our AC and explained the cost difference and pros and cons of each option. He does charge a diagnostic fee, but he works while diagnosing the problem and doesn’t nickel and dime you along the way. For example, to diagnose why our AC had stopped working, he cleaned it and changed our filter. I could have gotten another company to come out for free, but I would have had to pay for each of the small fixes he made along the way. He was also willing to include the diagnostic fee in the cost of the service if it went over a certain amount. He was well prepared to fix the problem, too.
We didn’t have an HVAC company that we’ll go to before I-HVAC; we do now. Sam has our business for life.

He guided me through a few things I could do on my end to try to help the situation until one of his technicians could come out. Within 40 minutes of the call, Luis was at our door and also super friendly and professional. He was able to pinpoint the issue immediately, explain why it happened, repair it within ten minutes, and our AC was working again! They have been in communication with me to make sure everything was still running smoothly. I highly recommend them for future HVAC work, I will definitely be using them again if I need to.
