I have used Simmons on many occasions and have been more than satisfied each and every time. They are big enough to handle any need you may have, but still small enough to remember your name. Great people!!
Simmons Heating and Cooling are a top notch group to work with. Chris is always professional and thorough in his work. He explained everything every step of the way.
After previously having Simmons come out to replace a blown capacitor, our condenser unit finally locked up on us (22 years old). Ansley went over my available options to get us up and running, and we went with an upgraded condenser (the original was a little small since adding on a room), and a new air handler to match the 3.5 ton condenser. While doing a tour of the house, Ansley quickly had a plan in motion to not only get us cool again, but provide us with a more efficient setup than the old one. He and his crew were able to get both units, 2 additional returns, a vent for the add-on room, and all duct work completed in 1 day. These guys are our hometown heroes. For all your HVAC needs, call Simmons Heating and Cooling, and you will NOT be disappointed.
My dad always used Mr. Simmons...and I’ve continued using the same business for all my heating and AC needs. We recently used them on a remodel job and Paul and Ansley took care of everything we needed. Great team...great service! You won’t go wrong with these guys.
We bought a unit for my art room. Heated room well, when came to summer, it leaked. Chris came out next day and fixed the problem. Stayed to make sure it was recharged and no more problems. Great service!
I called about a broken AC unit, in the middle of summer and within hours, there was someone at my house and had it fixed. The service technician called before he came and arrived on time.Very professional and affordable. Best service ever and now I'm a customer for life.
I called Simmons Heating & Cooling to “rescue” me from shoddy work done by another HVAC company. Both Ansley and Paul came out, analyzed the problem, and made the needed repairs. They were willing to do the hard work to make things right. Simmons Heating & Cooling is a great partner and I highly recommend them!
Two technicians came out to diagnose the issue with our compressor. I did assume it was kaput, and when they opened a panel on the back right corner of the compressor a red light was blinking. I inquired about the light and asked if it meant that the unit was done? He said “not necessarily”.
When I inquired about that he said it means the compressor is out of coolant. I stated when we moved in, in 2016 the ac unit need coolant added. I asked if this was a regular issue. At that time he stated it was not, they are a closed system and shouldn’t leak.
At this point I asked for a quote for a new system. He stated he could also quote me for a repair.
As a consumer we are leaning on these guys to have the best knowledge of these systems and to know whether there is a very good probability that this system is not fixable. This tech shouldn’t have been trying to seek repair, he should have been quoting a system like asked. But, now we are roped into having to make a quick decision on wether to attempt a repair that if it isn’t repairable will go towards the cost of a new ac, pay him his $90 service fee (which is $10 less than 2 weeks ago when I called to have them out), or sign a contract to have them replace the system.
Duped, my husband and I rushed to do the “bandaid” repair, which quickly showed a massive leak at the compressor. So we paid the $523 and asked for quotes.
Quoted a “Platinum” package with a 20 seers unit (more than what our home needs) for close to $20k, a “Gold” package which was 12 seers unit (what our home needed) for close to $12k and then a Bronze package which was 14 seers (not big enough for our home) and it was close to $9k.
We called another company, Goodson Mechanical (Jim Goodson), he came out the next day and said no, that thing is old, best this is to replace it. He gave us a quote for the same unit Simmons quoted us (Ruud), a 16 seers unit, and for $8,408... all said and done. Installed yesterday and moved to where we wanted it.
When I talked to the, I assume owner, via the phone the day the techs were out he stated to me the difference between them and other companies is how the products are installed and the services they provide after the fact, plus the warranties.
The warranty is all covered by the manufacturer, not the installation company. Don’t let them lie to you like they did us. What these guys do is up sell you their “additional services”, but they don’t give you a choice, and they put you on the spot to make a HUGE decision quickly.
I contacted the owner today and discussed the entire situation with him. He apologize and stated that is not the way he or his employees were to do business. He made it right.
Thank you for being an honest company and listen to your customers!
I am amazed at how fast Paul answers my calls. I feel I should answer all of the above. They do great work and a fair price and is always here when he says he will be here. This last time we jumped off and bought a whole heat pump system. Very happy with the time they took and a very good price.
