Seth provided outstanding service, and I could not be happier! I called Simmons to see why my A/C unit was not cooling. Seth arrived timely, was courteous and professional, and most importantly, quickly and accurately identified the problem and resolved the issue. Kudos to Simmons for once again pulling through when I needed it most.
Seth came out to my house had my ac running in no time, he took the Time to explain issues extremely kind and knowledgeable!! I recommend him highly & told him next time I’m asking for him to come back!!
If you need your Air Conditioning fixed, replaced, repaired, or installed, you need to call Simmons A/C to at least give you their assessment. I am not going to say they are the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but I just wanted to share my recent experience for you to make your own educated assessment and to help you know what questions you might need to ask. Our A/C had never been good; it cooled parts of the house, but it just wasn’t correct. We had a home warranty that we tried to utilize which did do some repairs which included out of pocket expenses. They had always done the least they could do and it was always a band-aid fix. Simmons A/C pointed out all of the corners cut which they have since rectified (You can see some of these in the before and after pictures). I told Simmons A/C (and a couple other companies) that I wanted their recommendation on how to fix our problem. Paul and Ansley came out, looked at everything, and gave me two options. Option 1) Remove essentially everything, including MOST of the duct work (which they found was incorrectly installed, torn, had huge gaping holes, etc…), take out the two oversized units, and replace it with a more efficient, 20 SEER system with several zones OR Option 2) Replace just a currently broken outdoor unit and they would patch the holes the best that they could. Of course option 1 would be much more expensive than option 2 and we discussed the pros and cons of each. We wanted to do option 1 for obvious reasons but honestly could not afford it. Ansley was able to work with us and secure some 0% financing which spread the payments out and will be somewhat covered by the savings in electricity switching from 2 oversized units running all the time to 1 correctly sized unit running at a true variable zone speed. Before going further I would like to clarify that last statement. Paul and Ansley did not just tell me that my current system was oversized. They told me that they believed it was and amidst all of the other jobs they had going on, they made time to come and perform a manual J calculation. This isn’t necessarily needed in every situation, but our home is uniquely built and just needed it done to understand what tonnage was needed. This resulted in a 6.5 TON total system being overkill whereas a 5 TON system still had about 18% remaining at full capacity. Once we agreed to everything, Ansley told me that it would be one night without A/C due to the scope of the job. We looked at the calendar and picked two days that the temperature would be modest. The morning of the work started about 9 am. Paul, Ansley, Wade, and Gary (in no particular order) showed up and went over all the work that needed to be done just to ensure everyone was on the same page. The first thing they did was put down tarps over the carpet to protect it from getting any dirt, oil, debris in our home. They worked quickly to remove everything that needed to go. They loaded it all up on a trailer which kept me from having to deal with all of the trash. Once everything was removed, the floor was identified as being OK, but they showed me where it did have a LOT of water damage from the previous drain not being installed correctly. As you can see in the pictures, the crumbly subfloor was replaced with ¾” plywood and looks beautiful. This will also cover up the old hole which had a tiny vent that went to the master bedroom. The team worked quickly to run new copper lines that were sized correctly (7/8” vs the ¾” old line that was crimped in several spots and had been “repaired” incorrectly still leaving pinch points). The outside unit was placed on a new concrete pad and leveled. The total job took 3.5 days but we only were without A/C for the 1st night. Everyone was professional, respectful, good with our dogs, children asking them a million questions, and patient as they overcame several unique situations and solved them with the correct solution that might have taken a little longer, but was the correct way. Seth did an amazing job! Knew his stuff and was very professional, I highly recommend Simmons Heating and air, for any AC services you may need! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ryan was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed my ac issue presented several options and even offered the service plan which I purchased. I had been meaning to find a company for this task and I feel confident and comfortable with the service Ryan provided! Thank you again! God Bless Ryan and Simmons Air Conditioning!
We called this company to check out and service our working ac system. Technician told us it needed a $7k repair, but we could get by for a while with a $3500 “bandaid.” They charged us $90 and did nothing. Called another service and they said the system was fine and just needed cleaning (what we had requested from Simmons. Would never recommend!
I recently bought a house that used to be own by a elderly lady who wasn’t able to maintain the house. With that being said many things in the last two years are having to be fixed/replaced. Our ac unit wasn’t fully functioning as it should therefore we called Simmons. They are fast and reliable! They came out and gave us many options; we ended up agreeing that the best option was to completely get a new system. We picked a day to get started on the job. Many little obstacles kept popping up around how to fix the issue we had. Simmons was great about staying with the job and fixing it. The job ended up taking a few days.
There was some confusion on final costs and not having all costs on invoices. Workers were even confused on what was owed. There was some mis-communication. With it being close to the Easter holidays it even made it harder to get communication directly from managers or owner.
However, I want to say that every company has mis-communication from time to time. We are all human. What makes the difference is how one/business reacts to their mistakes. Simmons jumped on this problem as soon as possible. They listen to my complaint/concern with FULL respect. The mis understanding was addressed and fixed within minutes.
I only trust Simmons in the Lindale area they always give you full respect and take responsibility for all of their actions.I will gladly continue to use them.
Our technician was courteous, prompt, polite , clean ,professional, our hero!! He saved us from freezing!! I would highly recommend this company to everyone
Simmons gave us the most for our money. Outbidding their competitor. Wade and his crew were at our home for two days for installation and ensuring everything inside and out was installed to our specifications. They were professional, friendly and worked NONSTOP to provide our installation. We highly recommend them for all your HVAC needs
As the east Texas temperatures soared into the high 90's, our AC unit stopped working! Since we had used Simmons Heating and Cooling during the February winter storm and were very pleased with their service, I gave them a call. What I didn't expect is that they would be at my house trying to solve the problem within a few hours. When it became apparent that the main board was defective and needed to be replaced, they began the search for the part. They found one in Dallas, but would take several days to be delivered. However, due to the extreme August heat, Simmons told us they would send one of their employees to pick it up so our unit could be repaired as quickly as possible. Within a few short days of our unit not working, our house is cool and comfortable. We have also chosen to sign up for their yearly maintenance service and feel confident that Simmons will be the company we call for any future heating or air conditioning needs.
