    This was the first time ever I used Yelp to find help for a service I needed urgently. I decided to go with Davco because I liked the reviews. I am happy to say I made the right choice. I was impressed with Mr. Mario Davila Cortazar. He is very professional, honest and did a great job on the AC unit. Prices were fair and job was done in a very reasonable amount of time.

    Mario Davila has been our go-to HVAC guy since we moved into this neighborhood 18 years ago. He has helped nurse along a builder's grade heat pump that constantly blew circuits, then taught me how to do the same work thus saving me money. Eventually the system had to be replaced and Mario and his assistant removed the old system and installed the new system in less than a day. That was about three years ago.

    Today he was here working on another issue, and while here, he noticed that the HVAC drain line was stopped up, so they blew the lines free and saved us much trouble later down the line.

    Mario and any assistant always presents a professional image and shows a very high level of expertise. We are very glad that Mario has always been quick to respond and professional enough to solve any problem we've had.

    Mr. Mario Davila is truly one of a kind! I am 9 months pregnant and woke up this morning with no A/C blowing. I called him first thing this morning and he came out within an hour of taking our call! Diagnosed the issue quickly and serviced our unit all in under an hour! While other Heating and Cooling Companies would have taken one look at our 20+ year old A/C unit and immediately tried to tell us we needed to replace the unit he used his due diligence to ensure we had A/C back up in no time! Thank you so much Mr. Davila we will definitely be calling you in the future for any of our heating and cooling needs.

    We were introduced to DAVCO nearly 18 years ago when seeking a second opinion after a tech said we needed an entire new HVAC system for our home. Mario arrived, profeesionally dressed, showed us where the problem was (the coils needed cleaning and the drain line was blocked) and had it corrected in no time. Service is prompt and pleasant. When we did need to have our 22+yr old system replaced, DAVCO presented several options that could meet the needs of our home and lifestyle.

    Mario has been my go to AC man since 2004 and everything he has done, installed or suggested has been perfect. I highly recommend him for repairs, installs, or maintenance. He is the best.

    Mario was very nice and professional, not to mention affordable. I was hesitant to have a man come into my house with my kids without my husband being home, but as soon as I met Mario I knew he could be trusted. Very impressed, would recommend this man to anyone.

    Very hard working a/c man. I called him and he responded within 30mins. He did a good job on my a/c, especially previous a/c diagnosed that I have to change the compressor of the unit which wasn't the problem. I recommend Davco to you fora better and quicker service.

    It's easy to ignore the 1-star reviews as outliers, but read on and decide for yourself.

    I just sent this bozo packing a few minutes ago. Davco was dispatched a month ago by my home warranty company. After (presumably) checking out the system, Mario Davila (Davco owner) claimed there was nothing wrong with my system. So, I guess the burning smell coming from the AC unit and the lack of cooling was just something I made up because I like spending money (??).

    Fast forward to last night, when the AC unit again stopped cooling. I called my home warranty company, which to my dismay, dispatched this same bozo. Mario identified (correctly??) a clogged drain, and since he didn't have the tools he needed to do the job, he needed me to supply my own wet vac to clean out a line because he wasn't equipped for such a routine task... I suppose it's a good thing for him that I have one, and that I was willing to provide him so he could do his job. Afterwards, he left my wet vac in disarray, so I guess I'll be cleaning it up from his mess and putting it back together myself.

    When he first arrived, I escorted him to the walk-in attic, and right in front of me, he stepped off of the decking and stepped onto the sheetrock (my kitchen ceiling)... not enough to actually fall through, but enough to crack the ceiling texture below in about a 2" diameter circle. There is now an obvious chunk of my ceiling that is damaged, and you see it the moment you walk into the room. Mario repeatedly dodged responsibility, first ignoring my pointing out the damage (literally refusing to look up at the damage I was pointing out), then throwing out the "how do I know that wasn't already like that?" misdirection. (The answer, BTW, is that the damage-- the only damage to any part of the ceiling in my entire home-- is located EXACTLY where he stepped in the attic, and after showing him that general spatial location, I offered to show him with a tape measure exactly where his step was as it translated to downstairs. He again and again and again dodged any responsibility or any interest in correcting his mistake. When it was clear he had no intention of owning up to the mistake, I told him to leave. At first, he argued back, but after I insisted several times, he left.

    Some other comments about his in-house "customer service" acumen-- 1) I had to tell him _6_ times to close the attic door and garage door when he went in and out. We have inside-only animals to contain. He simply wasn't listening/didn't care; and 2) he spent 10 minutes bending my ear about how I could help him solve HIS car mechanical problem (he noticed my "mechanic" projects in my garage). Perhaps he should pay me for the professional advice I provided him... after all, I didn't even step through the ceiling of his car.

    I have filed a complaint with my home warranty provider against Davco, and they have indicated they will take appropriate action.

    Mr. Davila came to my house in a matter of 45 minutes, did his service and had my air conditioner running quickly and he never tried to up sale me and gave me a very reasonable price . His service was outstanding and i will most definitely be calling him again if i ever need to and would definitely recommend to all my of friends.
