In order to lower the humidity in our house the owner Sam Kelly recommended replacing our existing system in 2 stages- first the furnace $4000 and then with a variable speed condenser $8,000. We did the first part with them and there was no change. Sam said we needed to change the condenser in order to lower the humidity. I asked him if he would guarantee that the humidity would be lower and after much back and forth he conceded that his solution would not result in lowering the humidity and that we needed to have our house envelope inspected by a professional energy efficiency rator. I found an energy efficiency rator who made other recommendations to lower the humidity. She referred us to another ac company who inspected our system and discovered that we already had a very high quality 2 stage condenser that was not programmed correctly. The correct programming to the system and other easy and economical changes were made and we have had the humidity level lowered from 65-70% to 50-55%. Had we gone with Sam Kelly and New Balance's recommendation we would have spent $8000 that was not necessary. The rator and the other ac company cost less than $1500. Additionally, before I discovered New Balance recommendation was flawed, I asked them to replace an ac unit at my office March of 2016. I went with their recommendation to replace the unit $8750. In December I discovered we did not have any heat. I called the company to find out what was wrong. Sam told me I needed to have a gas line installed and connected. That was not stated anywhere in the proposal. I had been under the impression that the replacement unit would have ac and heat. I wish he had told me they were not connecting the gas line. They did not call for an inspection from the city and I am guessing they did not get a permit.
I would not recommend New Balance AC nor Sam Kelly.

Best heating & cooling company in Houston. Courteous, educational, friendly and thorough. These guys know their stuff. Excellent customer service starting with the owner, field techs and office mgr. I use personally and for business. Wouldn't use anyone else.

I’ve never left a negative review anywhere but it’s hard to defend their awful job and the expense in correcting the upstairs/ downstairs zoning job. They deserve this review.

Sam and the crew stand by their work and will correct any issues if encountered. Dedication to getting the job done right and returning if necessary is why I'll continue to use them.
