I am an engineer in Clear Lake. My parents used Alpine during their retirement (20 years) and I now use Alpine. Totally competent, honest, fair priced with fast service. Work is high quality. Will discuss repair options versus replacement. James is the best! Those answering the phones at the office will talk to you, call back, and make you feel at ease.

I will never use Alpine again!! Two different people told me two different prices for the same repair. Took them over a month to complete the repair and it was not due to unavailable parts. The part was installed but they did something incorrect on the first install and it took them 4 weeks to correct their mistake. Office staff very rude and not helpful at all. We still have not been give any information on the final repair. The last time they showed up they were in the attic for about 15 mins and left without speaking with anyone. Horrible service!

I would never recommend this company for AC installation or service. I purchased a brand new Comfort Maker AC package unit from Alpine Air in July 2018 that began having ac problems in June of 2020. I was informed Alpine offered a 2 year parts and labor warranty on new installs and the service would be covered. After servicing the unit, one of Alpine's senior technicians blamed the faulty blower-moter, wiring and Freon freeze up myself and my tenants . Also they never fixed a bad heater board relay in July of 2020 under their 2 year parts and labor warranty and have repeatedly sent me a $300 bill for the warranty service provided for my AC/Heat which was never entirely fixed. I just spend another $500 to fix the faulty heater board that was never fixed in July (which was covered under parts and warranty) and the additional expense of hotel lodging for my tenants while the part was ordered and repaired. I continue to receive a $300 bill from Alpine, simply terrible/ unconscionable service,. Seriously beware of this company, zero customer service after they get your money for a new ac install and blaming the customer for faulting wiring and mechanical failure after install.

My A/C went out on a Saturday in late April. After my normal A/C technician told me he couldn't be out until Tuesday, I called Alpine Air at 1:43 PM.

Within the hour, we had cold air in the house again. The technician, Juan, was at our house for about 15 minutes, and most of that time was spent walking from his truck to the condenser unit. He spotted the problem immediately and changed out our capacitor, and was on his way.

Great, fast service and a positive attitude. No attempt at an upsell, and no BS. I wouldn't hesitate to call Alpine Air again.

I don't understand the bad reviews for this company. We have been dealing with them for 10 years now. They have always been prompt, professional, fair, reliable, and reasonably priced.
They came out recently on short notice over a holiday weekend. I was prepared to get a ridiculously high service bill, because that is what happens anytime we have to call someone out for home repairs, but no, we were given a surprisingly honest and low price. Years ago, we also had an issue in which we asked them to correct a problem with the A/C installation - which they did quickly, completely, and without argument.
I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Alpine Air did the original instillation of the three units for our home twenty six years ago and they have serviced them ever since. I can not say once that we been disappointed in them or the quality of their work. The two technicians who came out yesterday to install a new coil worked for hours in our hot attic and were throughout polite and courteous. Their prices are also very reasonable. I even gave them a tip for their hard work. Living in Houston, what would we do without these men and their company! (Thank you again David and John)

WARNING: DO NOT USE ALPINE AIR!!! They are not honest! My a/c has been leaking coolant due to the faulty Lennox AC coils 7 months out of warranty. I called them last August, paid for a service call for them to come out and I specifically asked them to show me my coils and the tech refused... he said it is not leaking so he does not need to do that. When I made the apt I told them specifically that I was aware of the coil issue and that I wanted to see them since my warranty was almost up. I spoke with the owner and told him that the tech wouldn’t show us the coils and that I shouldn’t have to pay for the service call since he didn’t do want I asked and he disagreed. This July I had another company came out and they had to put 5lbs of freon in both units and said right away the coils are leaking. So then today I spoke with Alpine and they said the original ticket did not say anything about checking coils and because of that they won’t be able to do anything about it. It only said “house not cooling” How is it my fault that they didn’t write on the ticket for him to check the coils like I asked when I scheduled the apt ??? Plus I told the tech and the owner. Now they get to just hide behind the “out of warranty” claim😑 so disgusted😡 I also told her to talk to the owner but she didn’t... they had 2 opportunities to make this right and chose not to.

Alpine Air used to be good, but recently, the people who run their scheduling office appear to be suffering from a terrible case if utter incompetence. Twice in the last year they've left me high and dry for appointments that I scheduled. I was told the owner would call me back to apologize, but he didn't even have the decency to keep his promise.

There are a lot of competent HVAC professionals in Houston, so don't waste your time with Alpine Air. Their average rating here on Google says all you need to know about how they run their business.

Let me start off by saying this company has terrible if any, customer service. I called before regular business hours to schedule an appointment to check the HVAC system in my home and was told the message would be relayed to the front desk/technician to schedule an appointment.

The day goes by without a call. TWO days later, I got a voicemail saying they would be here between 1-3 pm that day. Took no regard that I was at work or not available at that time. Luckily, I was able to take a half-day off work to be home for the appointment. When they arrived, they told me the issue and said they didn’t have the part needed and would come back on Friday to install. Ok, great. My boyfriend then took a half-day of work to be home for the appointment, but they never showed up.

I called the front office and asked if they would tell me what was going on and what the technician had told me when they were at my home the days previous. She said she would call me back and let me know what was going on but I never received a callback. So, the weekend goes by and they decide to show up on Monday afternoon WITHOUT notice. How can I plan for this? It’s very unprofessional.

I will never work with Alpine again. If you are looking for an HVAC repair, please keep looking. The only reason I dealt with them in the first place is that they installed the system in my home when it was being built.

We have used Alpine Air for the past 5 years as they installed the HVAC equipment, per the builder, in this home. They have had a couple of miscommunications during that time for service visits but each time they made it right. I will continue to use them as they know the equipment and have installed many of the homes in this area. I have had some of the same gentlemen come to do the service calls and well checks, and those that have returned for the annual service check visits have been the nicest and most professional.
