Our AC had been out for 12 days because another company Heritage Air & Heat misdiagnosed a broken valve and also wanted $1100.00 for freon. We asked American Home Shield for another company to come out. They sent AC Wizard. They were very professional, thorough and patient during their troubleshooting process. It ended up being a simple fix of replacing our thermostat and was free and covered under our contact. I am so grateful for this technician, because I live in Texas and it's hot and he was very honest and did such a great job. I am so grateful.

It was freezing and I made an appointment thru American Home Shield. They came out the next day and said the problem was a faulty gas cap. They were there the following day and repaired quickly and professionally. Both of the repairmen were named Greg and they were both great. The ladies that schedule were very nice too! Thank you!!!

I was initially referred to AC Wizard by American Home Shield, our Home Warranty Company. AC Wizard came out and determined our Evaporator Coil had a leak and needed to be replaced. This is where the quality ended.

I received my initial estimate from Michelle, but was going to have to pay for a lot of items that were not covered under my Home Warranty protection. I decided sure, as it was Hot Summer and we had 2 small children that really needed a working AC. Well I received several more phone calls from Michelle throughout the week where she informed me there would be a delay of several months in getting parts, or costs were being added to the repair because they had to modify my unit! These phone calls were not the most professional. Very little explanation was provided, especially when I began to asked questions; and no empathy was given when we finally got to our final quote that had gone up thousands of dollars! I essentially was coerced into having no choice but to agree to use their spare parts that were not made to fit my unit. Additionally, labor was only warrantied for 30 days and there was no warranty offered on parts.

While waiting for my repair, I requested an estimate for a brand new system, inside and out. I had to ask for this quote several times... I expected an email with brochures, or perhaps a call from one of the Technical Sales Reps. No, I was just sent an email with one sentence that included a price. No incentive for me to upgrade to something I knew nothing about. A brand wasn’t even mentioned nor any kind of warranty information for purchasing a new unit.

I lost all confidence in this vendor before the replacement/repair was made and canceled the repair. It truly felt like the more they were able to take advantage of me, the more they continued to find additional reasons to do so. I opted to go with a quality vendor and pay most of the cost out of pocket as they were not covered by AHS, however, the parts were procured and the repair was completed within 24 hours of initial contact, and it came with a full year warranty on labor and 5 year warranty on parts. I hope that if you can select another vendor, you do the same as me.

I had to call and find out my repair wasn't going to be fixed because the tech wrote his own personal statement which stated it was a pre-existing issue before I had AHS. The AHS reps and Wizard techs need to be honest and up front with customers instead of sticking us up for monthly fees and $125 services charges knowing damn well we not going to qualify to get certain things fixed .The rep stated he wasn't confident he could do the job several times anyway because I didn't have much space to work with. But Cody n Sons did the job with no problem on the other side of my duplex .

My husband shared our honest experience with this company, then they responded aggressively trying to paint him as a liar.

I want to start with facts. Yes we had a leak, ac wizard gave us a quote and a scheduled start date. 2 nights before the work was to begin we got a call from Michelle stating the entire scope of work and thus price had changed either delaying the work "a couple months" as stated by Michelle, or increasing the price by a semi estimated amount "it could be more" she said, with no real information or explanation given. We got a second opinion and were able to get parts that fit our unit next day without any need for modifications or additional expenses.

I would like to add that MICHELLE was VERY unprofessional from start to finish, never providing the inormation asked for. I mean come on! When someone is considering replacing their ac unit in full, I expect options, quotes, stats, etc. Not a 1 line email giving an approx. price not even referencing product brand to be used! And zero waranty information given on parts and labor. She also made ME make the calls to our home warranty company while proving me ZERO information on what was being requested. She repeatedly told my husband "it's not my job to call, you need to", upon which the Home repair company explained they needed ac wizard to contact them and provide specific information via fax.

We are basing our review off of our experience with Michelle and her lack of professionalism and lack of explanation or reasoning for the changing scope and costs, and down right refusal to do the simplest of tasks associated with her job (making phone calls, or sending faxes). It's easy to see other reviewers are having similar experiences. Maybe AC wizard management/owners need to look at their own staff, before calling customers liars. Im giving the benefit here to AC wizard, as the servicing technician seemed legit, but the middle man (Michelle, was so lazy and incompetent) lost the sale with her attitude on far more than one occasion/phone call and "apparent" misinformation.

I do feel if AC wizard management/ownership had any professionalism what so ever, they would have contacted either myself or my husband directly to discuss their concerns with our review. And quite honestly, a move like that would have gone a long way in customer service, showing they cared enough to understand the situation or why they lost a sale and perhaps we would have even amended or removed our review, but instead here we are in a petty Google review stand off. So unprofessional.

American Home Shield sent A/C Wizard to repair my heater. They arrived the next day. Daniel just finished with my repair. He was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!! Got me up and running again. Thanks Daniel and A/C Wizard. I would definitely recommend them to anyone having HVAC issues.

They charged me $6000 to replace coils and motor. One unit does t work still. They came the second time and said they fixed it and everything is fine some water clogging or so. Now my game room ceiling is leaking and the AC doesn’t cool and they don’t have a mechanism to be accountable and come and fix it but I need to wait till next week to get their calendar schedule
Work. There is NO accountability or guarantee for their work per this experience so far !! Now I may have to end up fixing my game room ceiling since it’s leaking.

American homeshieild sent out AC wizard to fix our AC. American home shield said they were covering everything but AC wizard wanted to add all this other stuff to make money. The extras cost 2,700. The warranty said they could fix it properly without charging all of this extra cost. We are unhappy with the service from AC wizard. Update? JUly 2nd 2022. Both A1 air and American Homeshield told us that AC Wizard was trying to charge us for parts covered under our warranty. We have New Lennox ACs. Apparently our evaporator coil on our new Lennox ACs was broken and leaking. They also tried to make us replace brand new parts that had no damage or anything else wrong with them. They made a agreement with our warranty to fix our AC and according to American Homeshield broke that agreement. We found out from some of the best and largest HVAC companies that these home warranties often use crooked or small HVAC companies starting out because the decent, larger and truthful companies will not work with them. If you are going to pay a lot of money to get your AC fixed then you can also pay the less than 70 dollars to get another company to come out and give you a second opinion. We actually had 2 because we know someone who works for one of these larger HVAC companies. Both companies said AC wizard was charging us for things we did not need and for parts covered by warranty. (I have a hard time believing these other reviews on here are legit.) A! air fixed our AC for less than 1,000. All parts were covered by the new Lennox HVAC systems warranty. This is without the extra home warranty with American homeshield. A1 air does not accept home warranties of any kind. They do however honor the manufacturers warranty to replace all parts without cost, by law!

We had a great experience with this company! AHS originally sent out a different company who blamed our AC issue on our smart thermostat, we knew this wasn't the issue. Luckily they sent out AC Wizard for a second opinion. They were able to diagnose and fix the issue within 40 minutes! Gabe was great, answered all of our questions, kept his distance and was wearing mask. Definitely recommend!

Assigned here by our home warranty, and we were so glad we were. Initially assigned a time the next day, but they got us in the same day after a cancellation. Doug was great and spent a lot of time figuring out the problem. Had to go to Home Depot and back. A/C is back on. Thank you for timeliness, competence, and great communication.
