I have definitely had some significant AC issues over the last year or so, and I have been incredibly pleased with the level of customer service I have received from Assured Heating & Air. They display that they actually care about me as a person and they work hard to communicate effectively, problem-solve efficiently and thoroughly meet the needs I have had. I will be using their services for many years to come. Keep up the good work! :)
Each experience with this company has been terrible. We did not choose this company, rather home warranty picked them as the vendor to fix our air. Unfortunately, each time this company has come out... They have fixed "an issue", only to have the same original issue start back up within hours. On top of the original issue still not being fixed, we have been out $$$ each time they have come out.
I'd recommend you find someone else to help you, if you want the job done right.
Billy Owens, the technician, was quick and efficient. He found the root of the problem and is working to repair it. I appreciated the text communication with the company to let me track Billy’s arrival and better plan my day. He just left, and the company has already sent a text with follow-up appointment details! So much more efficient than phone calls and waiting on hold forever which is typical with so many service companies! Bonus: BIlly is good with dogs and mine really liked him. It makes things so much easier when I don’t have to put them up when there’s guests in the house.
I have NEVER had so much trouble with a company before. This company was assigned to my home for my HVAC unit through our home warranty company as well. Back in the middle of May we started having problems with our central AC. Since then, this company has had to come out to our home SIX OTHER TIMES, and every time the problem was not resolved. The first time our AC stopped working & they sent out a younger guy to "diagnose" the issue. $75 later, we didn't get an answer. Since our air was "faintly" blowing he said there was no problem and left. The next day I gave them all call explaining that our air had stopped working again, go figure, and they sent an older gentleman out who proceeded to tell us that the younger kid was new and "fresh" so that's why he didn't know what he was doing... He also explained that our system needed freon and that he'd have to come back another day because our HVAC was frozen up. Next thing we know, a week after he came back to put the freon in, our AC stopped working again. They send out the young kid who claims they put too much freon in and he drains "some" out. Ok. Now here we are Fourth Of July weekend in 90° weather and yet again our air stops working & we took it upon ourselves to open the HVAC... it's completely frozen again. They scheduled us an appointment (I believe this was the 6th or 7th one now since May), and we're supposed to come yesterday between the hours of 12-4pm. 3:50pm I call them and ask what is going on because nobody has shown up and I have taken a day off of work for their service, they proceed to tell me all of their trucks broke down and nobody will be coming and they will send someone out tomorrow (today), between the hours of 12-4pm again. Took off work again todaty for their services, and 3:30pm I get a call from the company saying "the part isn't in" so they can't come today now... was the part in yesterday? Did ALL their trucks truthfully breakdown? I have given this company TOO many chances. Also, I have proof of all this from the yellow slips they have given us. I also have all the claims with my home warranty company who said this isn't the only complaint they've gotten. Even if you are going through a home warranty for AC services, I'd stay away from this place. Especially since the owner was just oh-so professional while responding to the last review someone had left.
Wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. I will share briefly a few incidents. Initial technician insisted upon arrival that locks for the coolant valves were necessary and demanded immediate payment for doing so (I have since had several other technicians inform me that this is not true). They damaged my property and performed substandard work. If I could give negative stars, I emphatically would.
I would never do business with them again. I had a leak in my a/c causing my unit to freeze up and not cool. I contacted my Home Warranty company and Assured Heating and Air was sent to diagnose the problem. They verified that the coil had a leak but claimed that they could not just replace the coil because my 4 year old unit is rated at SEER 13 and Federal Regulations require them to replace the unit with a SEER 14 or greater unit. I contacted several two other A/C companies who verified that while it was true that Federal Regulations require Manufactures to produce SEER 14 or greater new units, lower SEER rated units can be repaired and do not have to be upgraded to meet new standards. I realize that warranty work does not pay well but it appears that these guys are using it to misinform people and up-sale to new units when it is not necessary. Apparently they don't repair anything, instead they just recommend replacing with a new unit.
Had these guys install a whole new system in my house under my home warranty. Water started pouring into my kitchen ceiling and I found out that forgot to glue together a pipe in the attic to allow for the water to properly drain. They came back to glue the pipe (for "no charge," how generous - ha!), but refuse to help with the repairs for the problem that their shoddy work caused, claiming that they "never touched that unit." Please explain to me how you install a brand new HVAC without touching half of the system. Gave them an opportunity to do the right thing, but after speaking with the less than apologetic manager, I'll be sure to let everyone in the area know how they do business.
I have NEVER experienced worse service in my entire life. Left me and my family in the freezing cold without heat for over a week. Came out to the house 4 different times and told me it was 10 different things. Eventually stopped taking my calls. Then when I finally got through, threatened to BLOCK MY CALL!! Refused to address the fact that he was not doing his job and treated me like a child. Reporting them to the better business bureau right now. No one should get away with treating a customer like this. And I am sure the crazy owner Glenn will comment like he has on the loads of other poor reviews, but I think all of our experiences speak for themselves. Absolutely a terrible company with an owner who could not care less about not only customers but people in general.
Assured Heating and HVAC company gets a 5 STAR rating from my family! The response time is A+ to me. An AC problem in May/June of 2019 was unbelievably the best on the site/home timing that I have ever experienced! Prompt, effecient ,lknowlegable, service call ever experienced. This is a company with very concerned personnel for my prompt need to have a fast inspection of my unit in almost 100 degree heat last summer. This company comes highly recommended from me.
Assured Heating and Air was referred to us by Home Warranties of America and replace our HVAC system. After an seasonal inspection and cleaning by a HVAC professional, it was brought to our attention that the Technicians from Assured Heating and Air failed to address two major electrical hazards. 1) the electrical and thermostat cable sheathing is damaged exposing the inside wiring to the elements. 2) The old unit used a 100 amp circuit breaker, but the new unit is rated at 30 amps maximum overload protection. This was not noted nor brought to our attention. The warranty company said that Assured Heating told them that since it was more than 30 days, THEY were not going to do anything. Find a better company that Assured Heating & Air, they do not care about excellence.
