For three summers, I crippled my HVAC system along by adding Freon, knowing that a system twenty years old was working on borrowed time. During the latest heat wave, the system iced up again and quit blowing cold air. Within an hour of calling Assured, their tech Chris arrived, gassed the system once again and got me through the next two days in comfort. Rather than throwing more good money after bad, I realized it was time for a new system. Two days after the latest freeze up, Assured installers Chuck and Blaine arrived, and, within four and a half hours, my new system was up and running. Both techs were cordial, knowledgeable, and competent. Three hours after they left, the new unit was cooling at my desired temperature of 70 degrees. Even with an outside heat index of 100 plus degrees, Chuck and Blaine worked steadily without complaint. The total price was competitive and fair. I could not have asked for a better experience during such a trying time.
This is the worst HVAC company I ever dealt with. Rude, lied, never returns call, tried to get me to spend $2300 for a warranty issue. I owed $40 as my part of the process and they threatened me and tried to intimidate me because I refused to give them a credit card number. I offered cash, check, or money order. Use at your own risk. My warrenty company was great but sit back and watch them try to blame Old Republic. No matter what their response is to this review it will be a lie.
I am very upset by the service with Assured. We were roped into using them because our home warranty company sent them to finish a job with our furnace. Not only did they leave us without heat for weeks while they "waited for parts to come in" They overcharged us by several hundred dollars on our part of the payment. Stupidly, I had assumed they were honest and when they didn't send a written estimate that I asked for three times, I just let them work on it with a verbal estimate. When they asked for payment, they overcharged and I paid it because my husband was out of town and I couldn't verify the price with him. After calling for our refund and having them say it was in the mail several times, they finally pulled the "Yes, Tom is here... let me put you on hold.. oh wait.. Tom is actually out right now" We get the point, you are blatantly dishonest. Shame on us for assuming you were an honest company. Secondly, they left a MESS in our garage after the duct work. I have never written one review for a company. As well, they also did not finish the wiring. We had water pouring into our basement from them not hooking up the condensation pump back up to our AC after they worked on the furnace. This business is just so terrible that I am shocked they are still in business. Please find a reputable business.
Tom and his son where at my house within hours of my call. My unit needed to be replaced and they were able to do it in just 1 day. The most professional and personable team I have worked with in years. They are local and act as if they have known you for years. Make them your first call because there’s no need to look anywhere else.
Assured has always been very responsive to our HVAC needs. They are quick to respond and usually gets the job done the same day. They went the extra mile to get our unit covered under warranty even though our unit was not the normal brand they sell. I have recommended them to several of my friends and they too agree if you need HVAC needs these are the guys to call.
Terrible customer service, unresponsive service reps, unqualified to diagnose a problem, late for appointments, disorganized, difficult, unprofessional and the list goes on...
You can be "assured" of a terrible experience with Assured Heating and Air. I will never use them again and will actively work with the home warranty company to replace them as the preferred vendor of service.
I encourage you to save your money and your time and find a more reputable provider of these services.
Our air conditioner stopped working unexpectedly. We called at 7:30 in the morning and they were able to get to our house around lunchtime. The guy came and fixed the air conditioner and didn’t charge us a dime because everything was under warranty. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing help with their HVAC system.
I am echoing everything my wife has said about this company. I only wish I had the option to rate a 0 instead of a 1. See below...
Everything about this company is a sham and rip-off including the owners post about himself. He claims to be a native of Nashville but a quick search on the internet shows Thomas F. K. recently moved here from Wisconsin and had previously owned a heating and air business there. The business failed and based on our experience and the other reviews it is obvious why.
Our a/c stopped working on July 19th. We were assigned Assured heating and cooling through our home warranty company. They came out July 21st and told us we needed a new compressor. Even though they had the part early am on July 24th Assured kept pushing the install date back. The home warranty company then informed us the the install was now pushed back until July 29th. My upstairs reached 99 degrees and my main floor reached 94 degrees. They informed us they not work weekends (except commercial accts--Saturdays 8-12) -even during extreme weather conditions. Buyer beware of this company. The office employees are rude and the young man that came to make the diagnosis was discourteous. They do not return calls and we had to call the home warranty company to get updates. Based on our experience so far, these reviews, and the reviews of Assured on BBB- we took the advice of another reviewer and went we Precision Air. We called Monday and they installed it the next day. Such an easy pleasant experience-Assured could learn a lesson. Precision Air has top notch customer service. Mike, Mark, and Rick were a pleasure to work with. Thank you Ted W. for the recommendation.
I only used them because my home warranty company assigned them to me. I filed a claim with my Home Warranty on 23 July 2015 for a nonoperational AC unit and Assured Heating and Air called me that same day (Thursday morning...so far so good) I explained that my AC was out and that I had a 2 year old and a 5 month pregnant wife and the heat index was scheduled to be over 100 for the next week. After coming out that day to say "never worked on this model, I'll be back tomorrow between 12-4 with someone who knows these models" they left. The next day at 3 they had not called, I was getting nervous with the thought of facing the hottest days of the year with no AC so I called their office reaching only their answering machine (even though it was within their stated hours) and I left a message pleading for help which was never returned.
At 6:50 that night my wife's phone rang and I missed the call, it was Assured Air saying they were 10 minutes out on her voicemail; I tried to call back but the call went to a voice mail that was not setup, but I was happy/optimistic…that soon changed. I called numerous times throughout the weekend to no avail. I spent Saturday and Sunday with unbearable heat and cranky kids/wife. Monday I called Assured Air at 0830 and the lady said she would find out what happened and "call me right back." Well, 2 hours later and still no call I called again and she said "the techs said you were not home Friday" to which I cried foul and she put one of the techs on who told me that “if a customer does not return a call in 10 minutes they do not come out.” I explained that I returned the call and it went to voicemail that was not setup and he said "yea, Steve's phone does that sometimes." I explained that was not a very good business model but was willing to let it go and continue to use their service.
I then asked when they would be here, (Given their response to another review below "We are a reputable business, and always, always try to do right by the customer" and thinking they would say something like considering what you have been through, how about right now? but…) they said “sometime tomorrow afternoon" at which point I felt not only betrayed but felt as if they could care less what I had gone through and never once offered any type of apology whatsoever. I was furious and fired them and decided to pay out of pocket to have my unit fixed Heed all of the other recent 1 star reviews...I only wish there was a 0 star setting for this visit.
FWIW they came last winter to fix a separate issue and because of the skill of the young tech it was done the same day....so I guess they are hit and miss but man what a complete miss this time!
Update: My home warranty company was willing to work with my for reimbursement since Assured failed to meet reasonable customer expectations!
It's so hard these days to find honest reliable vendors. I had an HVAC company to my house that told me my entire furnace needed to be replaced to the tune of over 4000. I called Assured Heating & Air for a second opinion and they were able to repair it for next to nothing! Their technicians are honest and reliable and the office girls were fabulous at working with me and my hectic schedule. If you're looking for a great HVAC Company, call these guys!! Thank you Assured Heating & Air!!
