They installed my ac unit a little over 1 year ago right at the end of summer so we really did not get to us the air much to realize it had a problem. i realized my air wasn't working correctly when it wasn't keeping the house the temperature the thermostat was set on. my husband had noticed it was very loud outside and the unit would kick off/on several times very quickly then kick on and run for a couple of minutes then repeat itself. i called the office the owner and one of his workers came out they were there less than 10 minutes told me it was fine and the kicking off/on was energy saver well needless to say it wasn't saving me energy, it cost me a $75.00 service call plus a $411.00
light bill. one month later it started tripping my breaker so I called YORK to ask them about the kicking off/on they told me NO that wasn't good i needed to have it check out. so i called another company to come out and check it which cost me another $150.00. they told me that it was over heated and had to much Freon after the guy let the extra out of it, it was working properly NO more kicking off/on and my house now stays the temperature it is set to be. i called Maximum to tell them about it and Patty the lady in the office was VERY RUID!! I know people make mistakes but really come on now i called them several times about this issue to be told it was OK. i would NEVER recommend them to anyone it could have caused my house to catch on fire.

I cannot sing praise’s loud enough for Maximum Heating & Air ! They have been taking care of our Ac & Heating needs for almost 22 years. Hard to believe they have put up with me that long. Maximum recently installed a New, York AC & Heating system. We absolutely love these units. Our electric & gas bill went down. Plus heating a two story house can be tricky, the down stairs always stayed colder. Not anymore this York Heat system they suggested is incredible, we get even heat throughout the whole house, & downstairs is know longer the Arctic. Thank You Maximum for the exceptional service, & customer care your company provides. It’s peace of mind especially for Senior s when we spend money for products & service from a company that’s reliable, honest & truly cares. Sincerely Ed & Vicki Nelson

I recently had an issue with my AC unit in a rental home I own in Harrison. I called Maximum Heating and Air to request help for my tenants. This company was very courteous to speak with on the phone, scheduled a technician to arrive within an hour and resolved the issue for my home efficiently and cost effectively. The technician was knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue as low on Freon. The company rep knew I was not able to be on site and kept me informed with the repair throughout the experience. My tenants are happy and reported that the on-site technician was very clean and adhered to the new safety standards during this COVID-19 pandemic. The cost of working with this company was affordable and well worth it! I would highly recommend this company to everyone and I will continue to partner with them on future needs. Thanks

My wife and I have been loyal customers for over fifteen years. When we bought our first house my grandmother turned us on to Maximum. They installed a new unit. For fifteen years they did a spring and fall checkup and we never had any “major” issues during that time. When we did have minor issues they were at the house within an hour or two. Recently we just sold our starter home and bought a “fixer upper”. They immediately came out and looked over the system and was very honest saying, we may get a couple of months to a year, but to be prepared for anything to happen with it being an aging unit. They were right. The other night the house filled with smoke and the unit died. The next morning I called at 0800 and they were here by 0930. We were given two options. Fix what we have or install new with a 10 year warranty. We went with the new. The next morning they were here and ready to go by 0830 and by 1300 we were up and running again. They will be here every spring and fall and I am sure we will get another 10 plus years of quality, prompt, and professional service.

Beware! They first denied installing the unit that was failing. When we found the receipt as proof, they said the $1500 part IS under warranty but it will be $500 in labor. Replaced parts without asking 1st. No one was willing to address the situation - just offered to come take the part back and leave us without a working unit. $150 charge for a $20 breaker that we could have replaced ourselves. Extremely unprofessional and sky high prices. $650 bill in less than an hour of service. The below comment is an absolute LIE - NO one asked before completing the replacement. I was TOLD.

Called the office and was told they would have someone out in a couple of hours. Office Called to inform me the technicians were on their way, and arrived when promised. Diagnosed problem within minutes and repaired. All in all we were up and running in less than 2 1/2 hours from initial phone call. Knowledgeable, informative and professional, definitely will be using for future hvac needs.

Maximum Heating and Air came to look at one of our units for our home on Christmas Eve, due to the Holidays nothing could be done. Turns out the unit needed to be replaced, Pat Caho ordered a new unit for the first floor of our home and we had it installed on the day after Christmas! The unit has been working great every since it was installed. The price was fair, and the work was done quickly! If needed again I wouldn't hesitate to use Maximum Heating and Air again! This company was very effecient in their work and getting the job done. Where they failed was I asked them to do the work on a rental home and get back with me on payment upon completion. The service tech called me late in the evening on Friday evening after 5:00 pm and asked me to meet him with payment of $490.00. When he realized I was about 45 minutes from there we agreed that I would drive out to his place of business on Monday morning. On Monday morning at 8:16 the service tech called my phone and left a message as I was in a meeting and could not answer my phone at the time. At 9:00 a.m. I got another phone call from my tennant who was not very happy telling me that the service tech was there to remove the part that he had installed on Friday that he couldn't reach me for payment. I called the service tech when I got out of my meeting at 9:30 am and asked to speak with his supervisor. His supervisor Mr. Caho (if I remember correctly that was his name.) Told me that he had to write off over $22,000.00 last year and he was not going to do any job for free and they were going to remove the part. I agreed that he should remove the part that I was not going to do business with him now or ever. I told this guy that I would be there Monday morning to pay him. Correct me if I'm wrong but anytime before noon is morning. I immediately called Phillips Heating and Air to go fix the Heat and air unit. A couple of hours later the service tech with Phillips Heating and Air called me and said your unit is fixed and the total is $275.00. Not only did Maximum Heating and Air Price Gouge, they treated a new customer with total disrespect and will never regain my business. I have many rental properties and would have considered using them again for future business until they pulled this stunt.

I would have given them a 5 star, but the lack of communication in this case was HUGE and I had to take 2 away. This house is being rented. I live 700 miles away and was on vacation in another 600 miles away with no cell service. This was communicated to them. They scheduled the appointment directly with the tenant for Tuesday July 8th (today). I would be available by cell ALL DAY. They actually did the work on Monday July 7th without my knowledge. On this day I was not available. My cell phone randomly picked up service. There were no less then 9 calls, the last of which was threatening to remove the equipment if I didn't call in 30 minutes.

I wasn't aware that they were even doing the work on that day. Had I been aware I could EASILY have made arrangements for the payment to be made without them having to call me incessantly. Even if they did the work on the day they told me, they NEVER made any mention of needing to be paid within 30 minutes of completion. If they stated this from the beginning, no issue. I mean for crying out loud, they didn't tell me the time they would be there or how long it would take, let alone doing the job on the day that they stated.

A little communication goes a long way.
