My first bad experience was when a tech showed up for 5 minutes, played with my thermostat and without testing left in a hurry saying that should have fixed my problem. He obviously had somewhere else to be and had a child with him. Within an hour, I called them back and told them nothing was fixed. I had to get another company to come out and fix the actual issue in the unit. It took several months fighting with them to finally get the invoice cleared for their useless service call.
I wanted to give them another chance recently since I have had some better service calls in the past and they had initially installed my unit. On Monday July 26 their Tech came out and determined refrigerant was leaking and put in 2 pounds of 410A. It fixed my issue but I was charged $159 per pound ! A check of google and other local companies seemed to indicate a price on the high side would have been $80 per pound. A local supply house said they sell to contractors for $10 per pound. Quite a markup ! I’m all for businesses making a profit but this seems highly excessive and the last time I will be using Tri-City with all the other options available. We called the "smiling woman" on their website and she literally laughed at us. Her response "that is cheap" and she hung up. We will never use Tri City again.
I purchased an entirely new unit 3 years ago. They offered me the best price and their customer support has been A1 ever since. When we call for maintenance, they know who we are and they respond promptly. Thank you!
Absolutely the worst, rudest, and most condescending customer service ever! It speaks volumes when a 50 year customer decides not to use their services any longer. Also, the tech with the new company we had come out to service our unit said it looked like our a/c unit had never been cleaned! The poor guy spent 2 hours cleaning coils, etc! What the heck were we paying for all those years with Tri City?? Must have been some mighty expensive filters. Geez!!
Service i request never got install. First-time using this company services and last time.im not satisfied with Nothing that suppose to get done. The list is so long type 6500 dollars my air still not cooling my house. I was told duct work not needed but I request before installation of new unit. I never will use company ever😪
We just had a new unit put in we had great experience with tricity we have filed. Chapter 13 and nobody would finance us and Rick and Carol were great they. Check to make sure it was working i would highly recommend this company we got 4 different estimates and they were the best deal so thanks so much Rick and tricity
Wanted to thank you them with a great review. I called and ordered a part on Friday and was able to pick it up the following Monday. Very nice and pleasant over the phone and in person, even better. I will definitely do business wt them again.
I met with a service tech with tri city heating to fix my 93 year old fathers heating unit @ his rental property. Tri city had recently replaced the unit (gas pack) at my farthest house. My sister has been handaling this for my dad until today! I met with TC H . The tech went through the motions and said the fan motor and the heat exchanger needed to be replaced. It took about 10 to 12 min to come to that conclusion. I didn't tell the tech I had a strong electrical background until after he was quoting rediculus prices to repair and of course he recommended replacing the unit. Once I told I would get 3 estimates the tech started back peddling. Knowing I might find and honest company that would spot the problem immediately and that might make TCH look dishonest the tech said let me go through it 1 more time. He went straight to the problem . A $20 Capacitor. He responded I don't know why I forgot that. I figured it out when I saw the top of the capacitor bulged out. I started to just replace it myself. Due to time constraints I let TCH replace it the bill was $298.00 unbelievable! It appears that they wil take advantage of the elderly and women as well as knowledgeable people. BAD COOMPANY!,
Unprofessional. Does not know how to address customers. Previous owner had service contract for 10 years and pretended not to know about. Then calls me back saying well there might be a fee to transfer to new owner. Hour later, calls me back to tell me they will not honor the service contract. Shady operation go elsewhere people. I am glad I haven't done business with this shady operation for my 3 other houses. I should have called my other AC man in the first place.
I was recently quoted labor costs between 1100 to 1200 for a coil replacement that's under warranty. I am a potential customer that is not going to be a customer now.....I can't believe this is what they would quote my 73 year old mother. They should be ashamed of themselves. They'd probably sell their own family down the river, push came to shove.
Poorly installed equipment. Unreliable service technicians. DO NOT expect warranty work. If you have thousands to throw away and still have no air conditioning, This is the place for you. Called the Rheem distributor and they indicated service on my machine never completed, and ordered parts under warranty on my macine that were never installed. BBB gives them an A+. (Suspect) I give them an F. Take your business elsewhere.
