We continued to get the run around from American Home Shield Warranty and we decided to go and find someone ourselves. Ron called us back immediately on Sunday and was at our house within a couple of hours. Everything was fixed a ready to go very quickly. I would highly recommend them.

All Star Heating & Air came yesterday and gave me an estimate to replace my 21 year old split-system heat pump. They are very professional and even saved me money by testing my line set, finding it was not leaking. They came the very next day and removed the old and installed the new, at the same price as quoted. The owner was here during the install. I'm very happy and I highly recommend All Star if you need a new system or need repair on an existing unit of most any brand. They do excellent work.

Taylor and Austin did a great job. They were very prompt with their response time. The prices were great too. I did not expect such good services to match the great price. Will definitely recommend and use again.

This company is outstanding. Called at 4:45pm with an emergency AC repair. Got a return call by 5pm and by 6pm the unit was repaired and running great again. Austin was polite, knowledgeable and fair on what needed to be done. Would highly recommend them to anyone in Summerville needing HVAC work done.

2ND REVIEW FOR A/C REPAIR DONE 6/6/2021

Late Saturday night my air went out. I had no idea what I was going to do....I mean it's the weekend- would anyone be available to come out and if so, it definitely would be pricey, right? WRONG!!!! I called All Star and spoke to Ron. He said he could be out in a couple of hours. This was on Sunday!!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT BUT WAIT.....THE COST????? Not only was he willing to come out and literally save us from heat exhaustion on a Sunday but he did it for a great price!!!!! If that wasn't enough, he had to deal with the on and off rain we had going on. HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!! I can't thank you enough from myself and everyone in my family!!! I WILL BE USING ALL STAR FOR ALL MY HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING NEEDS FOR ANYTHING THAT MAY COME UP IN THE FUTURE. IF I COULD, I WOULD GIVE MORE THAN 5 STARS!!!!!!

All Star was selected not by choice, but by my warranty company to come diagnosis why my AC wasn't working. Ron came over and took a look at it and came up with the conclusion that my AC is old, rotten and not worth fixing and that he had options of new systems he could install. First and lowest option he had was a 14 seer goodman for a little over $8,000, which is crazy cause I can get a 14 seer Trane for $5500 installed. Said I was a few pounds low of freon and that I had a leak in my system, which he said (assumed) was my "rotten" evaporator coil and that if he added freon it would probably just leak back out. Having a discussion with Ron on the phone he said to me he didn't want to "adopt" this old AC system and start throwing parts into it. So I believed him and started looking at new systems. Meanwhile for 6+ weeks, we are cooling our house to the best of our ability with portable AC units until we either get this fixed or find the funds for a new unit. Before pulling the trigger on a new system I wanted to have the AC looked at again by a different company, 2nd company comes over, checked out my system. They immediately and accurately diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, installed it and it now works. They also tested for leaks, ran the PSI up to 210 for 11 mins, ^P never changed from 0. Had Ron done the same thing it would've saved us 6+ weeks(early June til today) of living in a house with temps ranging from 75 downstairs to days over 80 upstairs where we sleep. So if your warranty company selects this one, call them back and ask for a different company. If I could select anything less than 1 star I would.

*Reply: I clearly told you the replacement coverage was only up to $2000, also sent that to your email. But no need for a unit replacement when all I needed was ONE part, covered by warranty. So to better assist your abilities later on when you diagnosis someone elses AC, the part I needed that you couldn't figure out was the TXV valve, which stands for thermal expansion valve. Feel free to add that to your notes. You say you do permanent fixes... nothing is ever permanent and something will fail eventually, new or old. In this case I needed 1 simple valve.

I was so impressed with this company! Came home from a week long vacation to a broken AC. 83 degrees and climbing with 2 children under the age of 3 is a bad combination in July. Called late on a Saturday afternoon. Despite this, Austin arrived within a half hour, thoroughly explained our issues, and fixed it in no time! Thank you, Austin! We are so grateful.

Replace Gas Pack, reseals duct connections and installed an attic solar powered exhaust. Experience was excellent. Crew was quick, efficient and professional. Job completed 5 hours or less, right on promised time. I will use All Star Heat and Air anytime and highly recommend them.
