This company goes above and beyond especially when there is an issue. They installed my unit in march and around the end of April early may we had a leek and water damage do to an install error. Everyone makes mistakes we are human but they did to make sure it was repair and fixed was above and beyond. any company I had ever had to deal with. I would highly recommend their service to anyone for anything dealing with their specialty. Thank you J L's Heating for everything you did.

I bought a brand new house with Ryan homes and JL heating and air installed the unit. Not even a week of living in the home it was a cold night I decided to turn the heat on in the morning. After about 2 hours of the heat running I smelled something burning. The manual was left on the heat strip which burned plastic and the paper. This could have been dangerous if I wasn’t home and the heat ran all day. They are quick to come out to remove the rest of the manual however this should have never happened! Do not recommend this company for your HVAC needs.

Very poor response. I have a house that is built by Meritage and JL did the heating and AC works. The work is very sloppy to begin with. They have appointments 10 days out every time I call them when I was under warranty. Obviously they knew they were not going to make any money out of it. None of the neighbors have a good word for them. All agree that the newly built houses should not have these many problems with a/c and heating. I will not use them.

So I had a home built from the ground up by Ryan’s homes. I understand that they sub contracted the work to J and L heating . This was the company that installed and placed are A/C and heating units in. Well I’ve notice that are AC hasn’t been blowing strong. I initially called for regular service but the young lady said there would be a fee and they couldn’t maintenance until the unit was Fixed. I said ok come out. They came out and still there was an issue. Now at this point the summer is about to be in full swing. So the appointment for the maintenance which should’ve been the 10th of June they called and canceled because of so many customers having issues with their A/C “Like I wasn’t a customer”. I The young lady said they would call me to reschedule when they could come because that would also be a another Fee. Three weeks pass and so I decided to call today and ask hey you forgot me I still need my AC, now keep in mind they already came and said they fixed the issue. I explained to the young lady my AC is only 3 years old on a brand new house this is crazy . Bottom line she came back on the phone claiming they came and we the home owners bailed out on the appointment, and if another cancellation on our part they will never come back out. Plus she claims I will have to pay $245 for the service visit that nothing was fixed and for the up coming . I immediately fired these people J and L Heating. My Captain recommended another company and they are coming tomorrow. We will finally have A/C !! So my experience is they have poor customer service . I will not pay and Ryan Homes should look to use another company for Heating and Air. This company never called me back to reschedule and the work is poor in quality.

We called JL Friday around 5:20 as our a/c would not shut down and house was getting cold. They called us back to say they would be here Saturday after lunch. I called him around 2:20 to see when he would be here. He told me he had 1 more call before us. Other clients had more emergencies than we had being cold. Very rude. Never showed up and never called. Spoke to office today and they could care less. Told me the tech never told me when he would be here. Will never use them again. Not dependable. This happened once before when they didn’t show up and no call. Do not have very good customer service.

Though I’m thankful that I now have air again after not having it for over a week, I’m not pleased with this company and how they operate. They are only getting a 2 star review because the technician that came out was very pleasant and respectful to me. I called them on a Friday (5/29) and they came out to confirm it was a leak in a coil. Fast forward to Tuesday (6/2), I had not heard anything back so I decided to call them to find out what was going on as it had been 5 days at that point. They ordered the part but did not let me know they were doing so nor had they given me prices on how much this was going to cost. My unit is only two years and three months old at this point so I start asking questions because I shouldn’t have these problems this early on. They tell me that the part is $1130 but since my warranty just ran out about two months ago they quoted me $850 for labor and refrigerant. I can say that I was not too happy about this but at this point I’m desperate for cool air in my home. As a customer and no expert of HVAC systems, the person answering the phone should be able to answer any question that I have instead of saying “IDK” or even ask the manager/owner for the answer. This company does not communicate well nor break down their pricing for a customer to understand. I should not have to ask for an itemized bill or receipt upon payment. Also, explain the different type of payment methods, I did not find out that there would a 3% convenience charge until the person told me prior to get my card information. I am not pleased with my interaction with this company and would not recommend especially if you are outside your warranty period on your HVAC system.
I will be reaching out to Better Business Bureau and also Ryan Homes about this company as well. We spend and put a lot of our hard earned money into our homes and it’s upsetting and unsettling that we have to go through such hassle to stay cool or warm in them.

I just moved into a Brand New House Built by Ryan/NVR and they used this company for installation of my HVAC system. I closed on June 3rd and there was an issue with the AC not working and they would be out the same day to resolve it. I said no problem, that I wouldn't be moving in until the 8th. During my move on the 8th the AC went out. Technician came out on June 11th around 1100. Just around 1400 the AC was out. I called again and no one can come back out until tomorrow. This is the worst service I have ever received and I do NOT recommend this company to anyone.

We purchased a brand new home from a builder who used this company for the installation. After five months of living here, and replacing the $50.00 filter (designed to last a year) four times, we called another company to have an inspection completed. It was found that the control for the outside air damper was not wired to anything at all. This lead to an overworked system which resulted in an overworked motor, which has begun to leak and spatter oil. Under warranty, they were forced to come out, but it was clear from the minute the technician showed up that they were not going to own anything. Deflect, deflect, deflect, and with the most egregious level of disrespect I have ever received from a professional. When I confronted the tech with the brand new motor leaking, I was told it had nothing to do with the unwired controller and was in fact normal and common. It was clear he was not going to accept any responsibility, and I said I said "we're done here". With that he told the other tech to "stop cleaning up right now, we're getting out of this lady house." Upon leaving, they knocked my front door arrangement off the hook, it fell and broke into three pieces, which they left laying on the porch for e to find a few minutes later. Recommendation: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER. Update: The owner called me back and I was met with the same defensive tone as the technician had. Clearly, the behavior begins at the top. She told me he has been with their company for 19 years and is one of their best. When I asked her about the companies reviews, she said she doesn't pay attention to them, as it only takes one upset person to post a bad review. Perhaps she should look at them.... there is cleary more than ONE upset person.

This business was very unprofessional and difficult to deal with and I would NOT suggest using them AT ALL. My husband and I have a new construction home less than three years old. This company installed both of our AC units. Last summer, the upstairs unit froze and stopped working. A technician from this company came out and just put more Freon in the unit, the AC worked for a week. The unit then froze up again and another technician came out and took some of the Freon out. The AC worked for a few more weeks through the end of summer. Fast forward to this summer, the exact same thing happened to the upstairs unit. A technician named Martin came out and took his time, he let the unit unfreeze and saw that there was a leak in the evaporator coil. Once I explained to him what happened last summer he stated that they should have let the unit thaw last summer and this leak would have been found and we still would have been under warranty. After trying to get the two office workers, Kim and Jen, to understand that they were at fault for the situation they still would not budge on the charge of $1300 to repair their mistake. I had to call the manufacture of our AC unit and explain the story to them to be told that yes last summer we should've been offered a coil leak test and that we should not have to pay for the repairs. Once I involved the manufacturer with this company all of a sudden they were able to reduce the cost of the repair to $675. I still wanted to speak with the owner, Pam, and I waited for four days to receive a phone call from her. I never heard her voice or received any type of confirmation that the owner even knew that this problem was going on. I felt like I shouldn't have to pay for anything, but after this nonsense going on for two weeks in the middle of the summer and me being on bed rest due to a pregnancy complication,I decided to go ahead and fix the unit and pay the $675. Again, I would not suggest this company to anyone looking for HVAC services. They were unfair and showed that the customer did not matter to them. Take your business elsewhere.

Our AC unit has been off and on for 5 yrs. We had to replace the compressor 2 yrs ago. Last week it broke again not to mention something is wrong with the installation of it the AC unit in the attic. The tech said it was not properly installed and the compressor went out. I asked him how much was the labor, he could not tell me so I called the office and she told me $1200. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! We have to replace something that was replaced 2 yrs ago!!! How is that our fault?! 😡
