Beware of this company. I asked for one service, and they changed be more than double for a service plan. I have a recording of the conversation phone conversation. I disputed the charge through capital one. They said I was lying, essentially, and resubmitted the charge. I'm not having to take them to small claims court. I will play the recording for the judge, and hopefully get my money back. Please don't allow them to take advantage of you too. If I could give them less than 1 star I would.

Brian came to my home to ascertain what was going on with my furnace. He had offered to take off his shoes when I opened the door. We worked together (air quotations) and he didn't get mad when I asked questions. Thank you Brian for having patience and finding another way for the condensate to drain when it cold outside.

As property owners who have purchased and renovated multiple units, this is one of the worst providers that I have ever had to deal with. If you come across this review, I can only hope that it will steer you away from doing business with this company. Not only did the technician make up some crazy story about an embargo and a shortage of AC units (we sourced similar units from other providers with no issue), but he attempted to pressure us into replacing the entire system rather than a simple repair. He told us that the system was a ticking time bomb, in an effort to convince us that we had to do something right away. In fact the quote itself failed to itemize anything in an attempt to confuse us. Bear in mind, the occupant of the house is a female 2nd Lieutenant in the US Airforce as well as a med school student, (On Scholarship) that the technician was attempting to use confusing language to create a high pressure situation, when a simple repair would have done the job. He went into the attic space and noticed a block of ice on one of the lines and said that it had to defrost, so he shut the system down and said he would come back. When the student returned to the house there was water leaking from the ceiling and down the walls. The technician never told her that there was a missing pan and that she should place something under the ice to catch the water. His negligence caused damage to the house. He then had the audacity to laugh at her on the phone and tell her it is her fault because he didn't install the unit. That may be true, but as a professional he should have noticed the missing pan and told her what might happen. He took no accountability for the damage to the house he caused. When she escalated the situation to the manager, she received a call from the owner Mark who was equally rude to her and refused to take responsibility. Mark continuously cut her off during the phone call and would ask, "Are you finished" rather than hearing her out. He became confrontational and threatened her by saying he had a recording of her call, which is not only an odd thing to say, but that call contains no information other than the request to speak to the technicians supervisor. This is by far the worst customer service we have ever experienced and we will do our best to ensure that anyone seeking assistance from this vendor is aware of how they do business. Below you will find the quote alongside what we found on pricing for what they quoted us and you can see the outrageous markup they are putting on this student. -Added: As Google will not let me post a reply to the ridiculous statement by the owner, please note that I have included the actual proposal provided by his company in my review and if the black wasn't there you would see my name and phone number as the customer who called in for the service. Curious how your attorney will locate me if I didn't contact you for service. Of course you can see from his reply what kind of person you would be dealing with if you engage with this company, where anyone who posts a negative review is not a customer. I've got the proof and it's posted. I've also added additional photos so you can see the condition of the house after they came and did what they did and then left without any notification from the professional technician as to mitigating ensuing water issues. Another update - Got a second opinion on what needs to be done and with no pressure whatsoever was shown how to keep the system running for now but should we choose to update and replace it, they offered multiple options that were $2,000 less than this place here. If you want to know who the other vendor is and want to save some money, just let me know. Sept 29 Update - had a few pounds of coolant put in and it’s been working perfectly for a while now. So much for a ticking time bomb. Didn’t need a new system after all.

I just can't say enough good things about the helpful and professional staff at Air Waves Heatig & Air. Several weeks ago the Harriet Hancock LGBT Center was struck by lightening which knocked out our AC and messed up our electrical system. We were in the midst of a heat wave and already had functions planned at the center. We called Mark Baker at Airwaves and told him of our plight and they came right away. The compressor had been hit and would have to be replaced and I knew it would cost a lot for the new unit and also the labor. HHC is a (501 (c) 3 charity organization and we depend on grants and donations to keep us going and our funds were really low. Mark called an electrician friend of his and got her out there immediately along with SCE&G and they went to work. Knowing what position were in financially, Mark got the Compressor donated and he donated all of Airwaves labor. By the end of the day the AC had a new compressor and the wiring was fixed. We only had to pay a small amount for the electrican (thanks to Mark). Air Waves donated their labor everything needed to fix the AC. The Air Waves crew knows what they are doing, they are efficient and they do great work. Our AC works wonderfully! Many thanks to Mark and his crew coming to or aid so quickly and for and their generocity.
