Old school service: people who still care about you. This is the type of service you used to get from everyone- people who care and back it up with action. This is my first time reviewing anyone on Google. I took the time to learn how to do it because of my experiences with Cummings. We had our furnace serviced a couple of weeks ago. My husband had wonderful things to say about the technician. This week, I have been housesitting for a friend and the furnace quit working overnight. I woke up in the morning to a 52 degree house with below freezing temperatures outside. I called Cummings midday on a Friday and they pulled some strings to get at technician out to me in less than 3 hours. He put a temporary fix into place and the house had already heated up 5 degrees before he left. He said he would return with the permanent parts needed on Monday. Thank you SO MUCH to Renee who dispatched someone in record time and to Cory for putting in the temporary fix for the weekend. My friend will return home from vacation to a warm house instead of a freezing cold problem to solve. That’s two wonderful experiences we have had with Cummings in less than two weeks. We will recommend them over and over again to everyone we know!

They don't deal in homewarranty insurance so I am not doing business with them.

Was referred to Cummings by Angi for a whole house standby generator. I had been told by other bidders that it would take 4-5 months to get a generator delivered and installed. When Rich came out, he took a look at our layout and said they could install a Honeywell generator the next week! And that is without noting that their bid was several thousand less than other bids. Honeywell is made by Generac, so a known brand. Turned out it took longer, but that was due to the Christmas and New Year’s holidays interfering and having to schedule PSE to disconnect the meter. The generator was delivered, connected to the gas line and finally connected to the electric within 1 month from the bid. The whole process was easy. Everyone was professional and punctual, from Rachel at the office, to Rich, to the gas connector guys (sorry, did not get their names) to Devin, who did a fantastic job on the electric connection with his two hard working apprentices. Thanks everyone.

This is to all the people at Cummings heating and cooling. I have never meet people that cared so much about the people that they are dealing with. After putting in my fuse box they made sure that I wouldn't be without my oxygen. They explain every thing they do and were very polite and understanging of my needs. They even brought me a air condition after mine broke until they could in stall my furance and heat pump.I would recommend them to any body.Blade is a real good guy, he gave me a discount for paying cash.

When they came to give me an estimate the scheduling was wrong they came a day early which was fine. Then when the electricians were scheduled they were scheduled for hours later than I was told. I mention to them several times about to 10% they told me they would take off for a senior discount. When I went to pay the bill it was not deducted so I had to check made out incorrectly. The girl in the office said they would refund $532 but that is not 10% of 11, 086. You take 10% off of $11,086 and it comes to $9,977.40 the difference of that is 1109 not 532 the workmen did a good job they cleaned up their mess I even made them lemon cookies and chicken enchiladas for dinner but I'm done with these people

Cummings came out to assist me originally to disconnect my furnace and AC/heat pump to allow for some water remediation efforts behind the unit. They worked diligently and fit us in despite the large job and short turn around. After working to disconnect the unit Blade was kind enough to examine the whole system and after finding evidence of multiple water leakages through out my furnace and some connections. He politely walked me through all of the issues he saw and what remedies appeared to be needed to be done to get my system back in shape. He spent time explaining each element and also let me know the prior owner apparently didn’t do any noticeable maintenance on the system despite being nearly 15 years old. This meant a few parts were far past their avg lives and we may want to have them replaced. He didn’t pressure me to do anything and allowed me to review what he suggested and reschedule a follow-up. They came back and did a very thorough job rechecking and replacing all of the parts in desperate need of repair. The prices seemed reasonable and the service was top notch. I will be using them again next September when it comes time to do the next annual maintenance. Thank you Blade and Cummings, Inc.

Referral thru Home Advisor for residential HVAC project- to replace forced air gas furnace with a heat pump system. Rich Esckelson came out, I told him what I wanted to do. He told me I didn’t want a heat pump, I wanted an air conditioner. I asked for a cost estimate for both. He agreed, said he would provide by email at end of day. Nothing received after 4 days. I sent follow up email. No reply. I gave Cummings HVAC 1 star for showing up on time for the cost estimate that was never provided. The overall experience was a waste of my time and theirs. I usually don’t post reviews but this experience was exceptional. All Rich had to do was be honest and say he wasn’t interested in bidding on the job, for whatever reasons. And it was a Home Advisor referral, which doesn’t reflect well on them either. A lose-lose experience all around.

Guys were quick on install, pleasant to work with. Trying to get information on invoice from the office though has been a struggle.

My call was schedule 1.5 week ago. I got call today mentioning existing customers are preferred over new customers who already have scheduled call. Lady over the phone was rude and had bad attitude towards new customer as if she does not care whether she has new customers or no. Bad customer service and Bad customer management. If I can give zero stars I would. Do not recommend them

Set up a 12PM-2PM window for a tech to come out and do an estimate. At 2PM, no sign of anyone, so I called to ask if the tech was still coming and they tell me that he has the day off and they assigned another tech. But apparently my appointment got cancelled (no idea why - I was too annoyed to bother asking), and this new tech was supposed to call me to let me know, but never did. "What we can do is go ahead and reschedule..." Nah, I'm good. I'll find another company that values my time.

I don't know what is wrong with this company. It is possible they are under new management or something. I have used them twice in the past couple of months. They were fine with replacing my furnaces at a couple of my rentals, but asking for a receipt was way beyond their capabilities. I wish I were exaggerating, but I am not. I have documented at least 20 contacts in attempting to get my receipts. I would stay away from these guys until they get their act together.
